Its the battery connector on the motherboard, it not the sim card or the battery it the battery connector that comes loose from the motherboard, had two 12.2 pro with the same problem and are now fixed by resoldering the battery connector back to the board.
Mine's been doing it for ages. It's been back to a Samsung repair centre 3 times now and each time it comes back I get a letter telling me they couldn't reproduce the fault and that they've installed the latest software. Within minutes of booting it up it happens again. This is definitely the last Samsung device I buy.

same as me , it flicker when there is no signal , in my other Samsung s6 it works fine , then in this morning there is no flickering problem but it always say 'google play service and gmail has stop working continuesly , I guess the memory?
same problem on my note pro 12.2" tab, SO annoying. ive spent hours trying to fix with all the suggestions found online ... still NO Joy! Samsung created the problem with an update, so they should fix the problem with an update.
Leah, I called Samsung support and they were nice enough to offer a 1 time warranty extension. I did several factory resets and it didn't fix the issue. My tab was only 2 weeks out of warranty though. can I take it somewhere to get the screen fixed so I can stop the flickering or idk i'm just keeping it right now until I find a cheaper tablet to buy then I can trash this thing
To fix the flickerin in the screen you need to go settings->general->about device->then tap more than 5 or 6 times build number, after that developer options will appear in general tab then go ->developer option->drawing then turn off all animation scales then ->go to hardaware accelerated rendering and turn on the option called Force GPU rendering and that is it get off settings and restart hope is useful take care.
mdl1972 how do you do this tep by step please. i love my tab and believe it still jas much user advantages and is still ahead of its time. i agree lollipo is the cause of the problem ease tell me how to gey to iden and the pros and cons
mdl1972 correction: how to get to odin amd thr pros and cons. since sending ot to the company wont help cause thwy no longwr plan to make another version of this so they are forcing us to change to something they want tou to have ans rhwy can control

there are videos on how to replace the battery to fix this problem yourself, if you still have the tablet I would recommend doing that

ok the problem is because an update so try to to go back to an old samsung rom through odin 3.06 and then probably will fix it
