Well...this trip was a mixed bag of excitement! That was an amazing deed Stan performed to shimmy into the camper and turn off the propane. Well done! And...we're hoping you've resolved your door issue with a simple fix. These Grand Prix venues are amazing! When we wintered outside of St. Petersburg last year, I (Gary) ran a 5K on the Grand Prix course and it was so much fun to be a part of that vibe! Finally - thanks for the shoutout! We appreciate you guys!! 😀😁
Hello Gary and Linda, we hope all is well just started watching your Canada trip. Climbing through the window with a camper full of propane is not one of my smarter things I have done. It was actually pretty dumb. But who said cops are smart. We did solve the door issues. Thanks for asking. Keep up the good work! Stan and Rhonda❤️🙏🏼
@OverTheHillAdventures - well...like firemen, you guys are trained to run toward the problem when everyone else is running away. It's a good thing a spark didn't ignite the fumes as that could have been catastrophic! Glad you're home and stay safe out there with the extreme temperatures! 😃

Hi! Love your channel! Our door did the same thing on our first trip. We have learned that we have to lock the RVlock, pull on the handle to ensure the lock is engaged, and then with both hands push hard on the door, near the RVLock . You should hear it latch.
Hello, thank you so much for sharing. We discovered our RV deadbolt was not fully extending in the door jam. We took out a little more material and the door has not opened since. Thank so much for joining us! Stan and Rhonda🙏🏼❤️

My wife and I enjoy your channel very much and look forward to your new videos. I noticed your sprayport door popping open. I had the same problem on my Coachmen travel trailer due to the manufacturer using pan head screws. They stuck out enough to prevent the door from snapping shut. I replaced them with flat head screws. them with flat head screws and the door snaps shut.
Hello Thomas, we figured it out! The deadbolt was not extending all the way. We took some more material out of the door jam. Works great now! Thank you for sharing! Stan and Rhonda🙏🏼❤️
Another great episode guys - we have had issues with our bedroom door in our 2500rl - on very windy days it can open like yours did - even when dead bolted. I have done some adjustments and it has not happened since so fingers crossed... We stayed at Orangeland once, it was really nice. Love how you can pick the fruit in season. Never been to the Grand Prix that looks like fun! Didn't know there was so much walk-around stuff to do.. Take care and stay safe ❤
Thank you Bob and Dang! We sure hope your remedy for the door works out! That’s pretty crazy that the wind can open it 😲 We didn’t experience that with our 2500RL, but the wind would catch the door when it was open and slam it shut. That’s scary too! Orangeland is great! We needed lemon and just picked it right off the tree. The Grand Prix was a lot of fun and may just be an annual event 👏
@@OverTheHillAdventures Thanks, I think the reason the wind opened it was that it flexed the entire trailer. Not really sure but yes - hoping it holds.
Stan, I have the same issue seems like door does not fit but it does the problem is the deadbolt and the regular lock does not go in deep enough so I fixed mine, dealer could not fix. Good thing the handle u walk down steps goes over r door so it wont poop open just not secured as intended

We have the same door latch problem with one of our two RVlocks. We installed them three years ago and one started unlatching the deadbolt on the road in just the last six months. I'm fairly sure it's not just vibration because it has unlocked twice when the trailer was in inside storage. You may want to talk to RVlock, I found them very helpful.
Hi Ron, we are working with RVLocks very closely. What we discovered is that our deadbolt was not extending completely into the door jam. We took out a little material from the door jam and no more problem. Has not opened in 5,000 miles. Thank you for your comment. Stan and Rhonda🙏🏼❤️
Yes, I BELIEVE YOU! Same thing has happened on our 5th wheel several times. Luckily it had the door rail/handle type that folds over the door and that's what kept the door from flying open. Mercy, Stan... you owe her an apology and maybe some flowers!!
Hi Debbie, Wow, we are shocked at how many people have had this same problem! We no longer have that handle that folds over the door, but sure glad you did! It’s a scary feeling to look out and see the door opening on the freeway! Thanks for believing me! Lol Stan has made up for his disbelief trust me! 😂 🤪🤣 ~ Rhonda and Stan
