I was thinking of buying it and selling the Rog. I changed my mind after a few reviews. I hope Asus comes out strong with the next device also can't wait for the next Nintendo device.
Definitely excited for the next Ally and Switch. Do Not trade up an Ally for a Claw in current state lol. I was so hyped for this device. O well will cover it here either way.
@@user-ik5kv3fd8k AMD been dominating for awhile. Definitely still the way to go right now. But I am super happy to see Intel coming back into the apu game. We need the competition and choice.
dont sell your matured 6 month device for a completely new tech that is not matured yet lol .. wait till the tech after 5 months (that comes out with updates) then reconsider
Not gonna lie, makes me happy that I spent my money for the legion go. Legit play it every night and those jkycon controllers are ALOT more useful than I thought.
They dropped the ball with this primarily from a price point perspective. I suspect this will be on sale relatively quickly . Will be interesting to see what launches towards the end of the year from other competitors.
@@GameTechPlanet lol same here. It's gonna be a long journey. I honestly don't think it will ever be better than it's AMD counterparts. Intel is always a few steps behind with drivers. Plus game devs don't usually optimize with Intel in mind. But I guess time will tell 🤷🏽♂️
Excellent first look, appreciate the optimism and few positives you gave the device, everyone else seems to hate the device (which I understand) so its nice to see someone not be so angry at it. I was wondering also, what performance monitor are you using?
Theres a lot to like about this device bit unfortunately a lot to dislike as well. It is a messy launch its its unknown what MSI’s plan is for optimizing this thing. Im in it for the whole journey either way. Will have a lot more videos coming including comparisons to the other handhelds. My overlay is msi afterburner. I switch between that and the built in claw overlay
Im getting full plugged in performance with my 65watt Ally dock charger and also my legion go charger. Its when you use a dock it changes. You need a 100w dock and charger for it to work. Cant plug a 65w charger into a dock and get full power. And i have seen some reviews out there making that mistake.
Clearly we have severe driver issue hence the staggered release they wanna iron stuff out before doing a mass launch in raw power this should be beating the legion go by 10 to 20 percent watt for watt but we’re not which means driver issues
Is Resizable Bar on in the BIOS? Intel ARC cannot work correctly if that option isn't on (at least it's like that for the desktop GPUs.). You get stutters and frame rate is all over the place without it. Also, DirectX 11 and earlier games don't run well, regardless (though Intel has improved performance in older titles after launch.)
Yoo gametech is the asus rog flow z13 better than all the handhelds available in gaming performance I'm thinking of getting one but u seem to have better understanding than me
If your looking for a windows handheld I recommend the z1 extreme version of the ROG Ally or the Legion Go. Both are very solod right now. Ally is the lighter smaller of rhe two and Armory Crate has gotten very good
I dont think many of its problems will be fixed even by software. Never heard of an Intel chip thats efficient in power and performance, usually the motto of Intel is more wattage more processing power cuz efficiency are for the weak. Efficiency are trash in the face of pure raw power, kind of mindset. 😂
my Notebooks Replacement power supply came in a higher quality box ... This thing looks like a chinese Emu 10000 Games in 1 Device ... Sorry Fan Boys but that thing looks cheap af

You be crazy to go for intel for handhelds 😂 amd is the only way good battery life and great performance

Yea I’m excited to see what they do when the ally gets a new iteration.
The Claw doesn't seem like it justifies the $800 pricetag. I have no issue spending a lot on a handheld, but this one actually hurt to buy.
If i wasnt keeping it as an investment for content I would be returning until things were better. But hey I have it and I will enjoy the journey lol.

Only thing im jealous of versus the ally is that the claw is black and has hall effect joy sticks. I love my ally.
Claw 2 with GaN charger 100W and AMD ... Place your bets 😂 they should have used a GaN setup you can only charge and play with the included charger.

EEEk....Those stutters on cyberpunk and helldivers 2 are unforgivable, I'd end up returning it.
The SD card is near the heat vent
It may have issues later on like the ally

Finish handheld worst performance for that price is not worth it
Well out of gaming handhelds I would potentially buy (Switch, Deck, Ally, GO) this would be 5th place!
That was the MAIN reason why I didn't pick the MSi CLAW. There's not much difference between this and the Rog Ally besides the battery.
Claw has hall effect joysticks which don't develop drift nearly as quickly.
@@ExecutionerDan I hear you in that man.

Intel needs to triple down on power management before releasing another device. Their cpus and gpus are generally power hungry as well.
💯

yes since it has 3050Ti (but only 40W TGP)
@@MichaOstrowski the latest version has 4060 RTX
oooh exciting!

oof, that performance is pretty bad compared to the competition
The presentation of the box and the charging set up is like they were obliged to provide with ''something''...Cheap

One would think MSI would know intel sucks with low wattage.
What a mess... What were they thinking?
Tbh this is msi version of rog ally
Still A month and price gonna strake down faster

Yes it does! 😂
typical MSI cost cutting, that PSU is 100% taken right off one of their laptops
They have to keep costs down to survive at the quickly arriving $400 asp.
@@jheithaus3 yeah this thing is about to get discounted HARD
Keeping my legion go and steam deck
This Msi is disappointing
Still loving my Legion Go and Deck Oled. But man this is all so fun lol
