The alfoil and gladwrap is a good idea but I would have put an extra lintel across the top of 5he door frame to stop the possibility of the single lintel collapsing under the weight of varying weather conditions.

The foil method will be ineffective due to Two reasons. As it will trap extra rainwater that will follow the wood down and will get stuck in the foil as you have created a "plastic cup" and in the one 11:44 you haven't sealed the bottom correctly as the moisture will climb up. burning the ends or using chemicals would have been the best way

Hello David. I think I am trying this method for the first time to protect the logs from moisture. :-) Normally people burn the underside of the logs, but I think this method will be more robust. We'll see what happens in the long run. I live in Turkey. Greetings to Germany. :-)

It's an ok build the only thing annoying about channels like this is they build a hut and never revisit it or even stay in them for a long period of time It just seems pointless.
You are right. You must visit these huts. But it's also about the audience. Viewers want a build video. Nobody watches this video when we camp in a completed cottage. Channels are also building different structures each time to get more views. But I will continue to go to the huts I have finished. :-)

The word bushcraft can be used in different meanings. Making things with wood you bought from the vendor is also about bushcraft. The word you are talking about may be "survival". "Survival" simply means using natural resources. I would also like to use only natural resources, but there are no dry trees to cut here. :-)

Hello. I hope you can build as nice a hut as you want at the first opportunity. Foil, to protect the poles I hammered into the ground from moisture. Normally, they burn the part of the poles that go into the ground a little so that it does not rot from moisture, but this time I wanted to try it. I'm not sure if it will work or not. Hello. Honest answer: The region is not completely arid. But it is one of the least rainy parts of my country. But it can still rain or snow here. But the chimney is not a problem. I haven't completed the chimney yet. I actually raised the chimney 1 meter above the ground. But I haven't posted the last video yet. I even made a hat on the chimney to block the rain. No water will enter the chimney when it rains or snows.
по моему обматывать фольгой и пленкой столбы есть большая ошибка. Это не полноценная гидроизоляция и гнить так столб будет быстрее. Влага все равно попадет между столбом и фольгой, а вот испариться ей от туда будет ой как не просто. Все это приведет к ускоренному гниению. Если бы столбы были не обмотанные, влага испарялась бы быстрее.
Привет. Я еще не достроил хижину. Я завернул их в алюминиевую фольгу и полиэтиленовую пленку, чтобы столбы не гнили. Так они не будут впитывать воду. В прошлом видео я доделал доски и прибил их друг к другу, чтобы на них не попадала вода. Я засыпал хижину землей. Поэтому он не сгниет через несколько лет, как вы говорите. Я построил такую хижину 5 лет назад, и она до сих пор не сгнила.
Вы абсолютно правы. Если бы пошел дождь или снег до того, как я закончил крышу, я бы не смог там работать. Образовавшаяся почва совсем не впитывает воду и получается липкая грязь. Я закончил крышу до того, как пошел дождь. Внутри нет проблем. Но у меня проблемы с обустройством хижины, потому что земля снаружи грязная.
Добрый день ! Спасибо за новое видео. Будет интересно увидеть продолжение. Скажите, а почему Вы поперечину дверной коробки установили между стойками двери, а не положили сверху на них? Так было бы прочнее. Ведь, продольное стропило крыши лежит на маленькой центральной стойке, которая стоит на этой самой поперечине дверной коробки. То есть держится на только гвоздях, ее крепящих к вертикальным стойкам коробки.
Привет. То, что вы сказали, очень верно. Надо было поставить турник над дверными косяками поверх косяков. Это было бы надежнее. Но я сделал небольшую ошибку. На самом деле это выглядит большой ошибкой, но нагрузка от крыши не на том турнике. На обеих стойках грузовой двери. Нагрузка приходится на углы и стойки вдавливают этот турник внутрь. Так что большой проблемы нет. Однако то, что вы говорите, гораздо точнее. Я допустил ошибку. :-) Спасибо большое. Я научился благодаря тебе.

I've never seen aluminum and plastic wrap on wood posts the correct ancient method is burning the post so moist won't rod posts as time goes on

It's not genius, he got a fire to burn them for protection. It's just extra weight and waste

This seams to be a very efficient way, to isolate the wooden beams in the ground against moisture - I'm looking forward to how this turns out in the future, but I think it will be good. Hello David. I think I am trying this method for the first time to protect the logs from moisture. :-) Normally people burn the underside of the logs, but I think this method will be more robust. We'll see what happens in the long run. I live in Turkey. Greetings to Germany. :-)
@@MichaelBushcraftandOutdoors i think one problem will be, the huminitiy cant go anywhere, it will stay inside the foil, and the moisture will come faster, but the time will see!

It's an ok build the only thing annoying about channels like this is they build a hut and never revisit it or even stay in them for a long period of time It just seems pointless.
You are right. You must visit these huts. But it's also about the audience. Viewers want a build video. Nobody watches this video when we camp in a completed cottage. Channels are also building different structures each time to get more views. But I will continue to go to the huts I have finished. :-)

Установка палатки здесь вызывает некоторые затруднения. Лучше построить добротный дом. Надеюсь, у вас нет проблем, о которых вы упомянули. Не знаю, как дети, но я буду здесь счастлив. :-)

I have a doubt: bushcraft don't mean you use natural resources to build?

The word bushcraft can be used in different meanings. Making things with wood you bought from the vendor is also about bushcraft. The word you are talking about may be "survival". "Survival" simply means using natural resources. I would also like to use only natural resources, but there are no dry trees to cut here. :-)

Hello. I hope you can build as nice a hut as you want at the first opportunity. Foil, to protect the poles I hammered into the ground from moisture. Normally, they burn the part of the poles that go into the ground a little so that it does not rot from moisture, but this time I wanted to try it. I'm not sure if it will work or not. I will see the result after a long time. :-)

honest question... is the area naturally arid, or is water down through the 'chimney' not a worry?
Hello. Honest answer: The region is not completely arid. But it is one of the least rainy parts of my country. But it can still rain or snow here. But the chimney is not a problem. I haven't completed the chimney yet. I actually raised the chimney 1 meter above the ground. But I haven't posted the last video yet. I even made a hat on the chimney to block the rain. No water will enter the chimney when it rains or snows.

по моему обматывать фольгой и пленкой столбы есть большая ошибка. Это не полноценная гидроизоляция и гнить так столб будет быстрее. Влага все равно попадет между столбом и фольгой, а вот испариться ей от туда будет ой как не просто. Все это приведет к ускоренному гниению. Если бы столбы были не обмотанные, влага испарялась бы быстрее.
Вы можете быть правы. Это был просто эксперимент. Результат увижу через некоторое время. Спасибо за ваш ценный комментарий.
Я не обнаружила гидроизоляции деревянных стоек и от земли , влага будет течь, всё сгниет за год -два. Какой смысл строить, тратить время и деньги?
Привет. Я еще не достроил хижину. Я завернул их в алюминиевую фольгу и полиэтиленовую пленку, чтобы столбы не гнили. Так они не будут впитывать воду. В прошлом видео я доделал доски и прибил их друг к другу, чтобы на них не попадала вода. Я засыпал хижину землей. Поэтому он не сгниет через несколько лет, как вы говорите. Я построил такую хижину 5 лет назад, и она до сих пор не сгнила.

Вы абсолютно правы. Если бы пошел дождь или снег до того, как я закончил крышу, я бы не смог там работать. Образовавшаяся почва совсем не впитывает воду и получается липкая грязь. Я закончил крышу до того, как пошел дождь. Внутри нет проблем. Но у меня проблемы с обустройством хижины, потому что земля снаружи грязная.

Добрый день ! Спасибо за новое видео. Будет интересно увидеть продолжение. Скажите, а почему Вы поперечину дверной коробки установили между стойками двери, а не положили сверху на них? Так было бы прочнее. Ведь, продольное стропило крыши лежит на маленькой центральной стойке, которая стоит на этой самой поперечине дверной коробки. То есть держится на только гвоздях, ее крепящих к вертикальным стойкам коробки.
Привет. То, что вы сказали, очень верно. Надо было поставить турник над дверными косяками поверх косяков. Это было бы надежнее. Но я сделал небольшую ошибку. На самом деле это выглядит большой ошибкой, но нагрузка от крыши не на том турнике. На обеих стойках грузовой двери. Нагрузка приходится на углы и стойки вдавливают этот турник внутрь. Так что большой проблемы нет. Однако то, что вы говорите, гораздо точнее. Я допустил ошибку. :-) Спасибо большое. Я научился благодаря тебе.

Привет. Да, если его пнуть, здание рухнет. Но я достроил хижину. Больше нельзя сбить с ног. Выкопал ямы на полметра и закопал столбы. Что еще я могу сделать, чтобы предотвратить его разрушение? У вас есть идея? Или вы хотите, чтобы я построил бетонный дом?
