I just realized when they were talking about drinking the blood of “the Prime Minister of Aus[inaudible]” and how “god knows he's not running out any time soon! Fat bastard.” They were referring to Harold Holt, the Prime Minister of Australia, who, according to SCP-3477 became immortal and also somehow duplicated himself a few dozen times into a bunch of equally immortal clones.
Harold Holt who, let's not forget, actually and truly, disappeared without a trace IRL, possibly swallowed by a shark.
Famous people don't just disappear all that often, and when they do, it's worth remembering.
Oh, great. That's what happened with the new Doctor Who apparently.
Damn.
@@arcadiaberger9204eaten by a shark is what the foundation WANT you to think
@@arcadiaberger9204Chinese communists kidnapped him
Dr Miller not being able to restrain his laughter whilst reading the entries was a great touch.
Laughed about Hermy's assassination as well.
Some of these were killing me. Hearing dr Miller struggling to keep it in was perfect
😂😂😂😂😂😂
i get it man
some of this stuff’s really funny
The "All I want for Christmas" Cafe had me dying at work
I don't think you need to be affected by an SCP to feel like vomiting when you hear "all I want for christmas is you" playing.
I've got "Christmas Truce" cued up on my phone in the event Mariah starts playing.
Like "My Heart Will Go On," it's a perfectly fine song with an excellent singer ruined by its own popularity. (It especially doesn't help if you're one of the unfortunate souls who, like me, has had to work retail during the holidays, where the tiny rotation of acceptable Christmas music means you will hear it ad nauseam.)
Because that song is a cognitohazard in itself.
All I want for last Christmas I gave you my heart...
i had the exact same thought lol
I find it hilarious that an anomalous group sends their products directly to the SCP foundation for fun
I don't think they did just send it to the Foundation. More than likely it's seen a much wider release, but an unidentified cognito hazard keeps anyone who has seen the tapes from recognizing others in the wild. It's my head-canon and I kind of like it.
wouldn't be the first time The Factory has done it quite a few times
@@0lderSch00lit was Implied by the GOI in the first note that they sent it out to everyone and not just the foundation.
I think a few entries have mentioned Dr. Wondertainment sending things directly to the Foundation, too.
@@DoctorPorkenfries yes they have!
I love the single instance of "It's Not Unusual" in the CD in reference to that one skit about playing "What's New Pussycat" dozens of times in a poor, unassuming diner.
John Mullaney! Fucking loved how they referenced that bit!
I absolutely lost it
yeah! glad others picked up on that
Ha, I knew I recognized the joke, fuckin love Mulaney
It's normal to projectile vomit to "all i want for christmas is you"
The stifled laugh when he mentioned Hermie getting assassinated got me lmao 😂
Ifkr, I happened to hear that bit when looking at this comment
His delivery of "Clarice" is beyond hilarious and I cannot fathom why lmao
I don't feel the Volgun was breaking character when laughing, I believe he was portraying that these SCP's are humorous even to a veteran researcher.
As someone who used to work in retail, I can totally understand wanting to destroy the speakers whenever Christmas music plays.
I think Christmas music was the only good time of the year during my retail era. The only thing I truly hate about it is the people. But that's an everyday thing.
I hated it. It was the same crappy songs on repeat for 8 hours. 😕
This local grocery store chain (mostly Eastern Ontario) used to have these animatronic farm animals that would sing these grocery related songs on a loop. I didn’t even work there and it would piss me off. I can’t imagine what the employees were going through, having to listen to that shit 40 hours a week.
I like how this article sounds less like an SCP and more like some dude had a bunch of ideas for Christmas parody films and wanted a place to voice them. The anomalous effects upon viewing the films feel like an afterthought.
I adore how blunt this SCP is. Like if Gamers Against Weed were materially pissed about something they genuinely cared about
You should check out the other VKTM articles :)
Isn't that basically Ms. Zapatista?
I love how Volgun is trying desperately to not crack up laughing.
You mean Dr. Miller. I believe that was genuinely good acting on behalf of the volgun. It's not like he couldn't do a retake if he didn't like the cut.
"Rudolph the Red State Reindeer" sounds like it would make an interesting movie.
I thought Rudolph was going to be some Bolshevik revolutionary with that title, 😆.

Amusing moments in break in character with how ridiculous these violent and gory versions of Xmas movies are. I would glady watch these violent versions
I'd love to see Die Hard staring Macaulay Macaulay Culken Culken.
@@LectrikfroI would definitely watch the peanuts one
tbh the laughing seems pretty in character to me
It's a rare sight to see an SCP with such a clear message and intention.
Yeah. The liberalism run rampant is usually more subtle than this.
yeah. Generic "edgy teen" pinko bullshit.
Uh, no, the message is about thd corporate corruption of Christmas, obviously.
the rudolph one was pretty funny though ngl
@@Howard-Hamlin-from-HHMsome of it, some of it is the pinko stuff, some of it is about bad Christmas music, each one has its own purpose. Some are really just for fun.
"The Grinch was Right to Steal Christmas"
Titles that go hard.
I like his unintentional chuckles and laughs.
Hearing you break into uncontrolled laughter as you read some of these was amazing.
Also I would totally buy a ticket to see Red State Rudolph in theatres.
I want to see MacCaully Culkin Die Hard.
The only political movie I would willingly watch.
@@dubuyajay9964I would pay to see this if Macaulay Culkin’s face was badly photoshopped on
Okay but that Die Hard remake with Macaulay Culkin in the lead sounds like a genuinely genius idea though. I would pay whatever they wanted to see it in a cinema
This might be the funniest SCP I’ve seen yet - the part with track 22 on All I Want For Christmas is Forever legitimately made me burst out laughing
Rudolf the Red State Reindeer would NOT be the weirdest christmas movie I've seen.
It sounds like a Comedy Central/SNL bit.
Grimlins?
I would pay any amount of money to watch "eat the rich, Charlie Brown!"
Or "Ernest goes to hell" for that matter
What about MacCaully Culkins' "Die Hard?"
@@dubuyajay9964 yes, absolutely
We all need a good, legally distinct, socialist revolution Charlie Brown holiday special.
Did anyone else notice the 12 Days of Christmas reference in 6221-21?
"You fellers ever hear about Coppertone? Yall sure could use some, you're red as a beet! And where's the hay at? Is that why yall have those pitchforks?
In case anyone missed it, the injuries recorded when someone calls the affliction of the viewers of “The Night Santa Went Crazy” Claustrophobia, is a reference to the 12 days of Christmas. The last part even rhymes with “A Partridge in a Pear Tree.”
I love the detail of one “it’s not unusual” in the middle of the album, a great callback to that old post
not even thevolgun could beat the absurdity of vktm articles
I like the thumb nail you used. The night Santa went crazy by Weird Al.
It was changed to Die Hard now-
"He got Dancer and Prancer with an old german luger!.."
the fact that the cd is unbreakable but gets scratched is very on point with my cd experience
The little chuckles throughout were pure gold!
The one instance of "It's Not Unusual" was an excellent touch for that gift lol
I don’t get it, could you explain explain?
@@calebhumphrey8220 Reference to a John Mulaney bit where he talks about playing "What's New Pussycat" 22 times in a row on a jukebox, with a single "It's Not Unusual" in the middle.

Shenanigans
12:45 After this bit I was half-expecting "It is unknown whether these effects are anomalous, or simply a natural reaction to the song."
I love how his vktm voice is both professional and irritable at the same time, just as it's written.
I love hearing you trying not to bust out laughing.
This entire SCP is gold, and your narration of it elevates it so much. Thanks for the great video! I'd honestly watch that Rudolph film.
Ok, wait "The Night Santa Went Crazy" is anomalous. I forgot to listen to it this Christmas and for the first time I'm on the nice list, 😂. At least they didn't get to "Christmas at Ground Zero" yet.
What a crazy fluke, we're gonna get nuked!
Doctor Millar can't take these descriptions seriously and bursts into laughter - this is how wild these are. Love it!
The Good Doctor is clearly already under the influence.
I have a feeling the creator of this article probably did the same lol.
The “It’s Not Unusual” in the middle of all the “All I Want for Christmas” playlist is a John Muleany reference
“Hey, November Rain’s over!”
@@TH3SHUR1F no it’s not….there’s more
I think projectile vomiting while hearing all i want for Christmas is you is a natural reaction to the song.

Be well at this strenuous time of year, O Blue Talking Cat.
Merry Christmas, ya filthy [REDACTED.]
motherfucker the CD with all the renditions of "All I want for Christmas is you" having a single play of Tom Jones' "It's Not Unusual" is brilliant referencing

A very strong "and everyone clapped" energy to this SCP
Hilariously done! Greatly entertaining Volgun. Thank you!
These aren’t anomalous items. This is just stuff you’d find on early Newgrounds.
Florida as a naughty list location is some of the best satire I have ever heard this year.
Florida is DEFINITELY on the naughty list.
So is Texas.
I have a sneaking suspicion Texas might get itself off the naughty list next year. @@arcadiaberger9204 🤞
@@arcadiaberger9204 for what, having some common sense?
@@aliveandwellinisrael2507 To name the very most conspicuous example, one quarter of all the COVID-19 deaths in the U.S. were in Florida, thanks to Ron DeSantis' "common sense" approach to sanitary precautions.
His "common sense" was also, of course, applied to teaching kids American history, biology, &c.: ignore inconvenient reality and roll forward as if what you wish to be true, *_IS_* true.
I wonder if someone can ask the vending machine for a cup of "enough juice to sit through the Hallmark special" and live
Can someone ask the vending machine for eggnog and see what it does?
The Charlie Brown movie we all need.
Most comedic SCP's don't do it for me but this one absolutely slays me (no pun intended)
Most comedic SCPs try to be funny, this one is just funny
As much as I don't find the "wacky weird unhinged humor" GoIs that interesting, I do enjoy when they pin that correct level of absurd humor. Rudolph somehow ended up dismantling Florida's healthcare on a quest to create a Christmas wonderland is so funny for some reason.
I love the little suppressed laughs between the reading, they're great
Imo VKTM isn't really this sort of GoI at least from some of the other articles I read about them, and from a video by the guy who first came up with it they at least were meant to be an organisation trying to spread a message that doesn't really understand what message they even want to spread. But I do agree that "wacky" GoIs don't really work, only Wondertainment truly nails that feel, others like GAW or even dado almost completely fail when trying to be humourous.
This SCP is the literal embodiment of someone who deeply despises Christmas but has to make everyone else despise too. It's certainly accurate satire. At least I hope it's satire or else it's to naughty list camps they go
Send them to SCP-784.
I think if that's what you get out of it then you've missed the point. It is a collection of comedic jabs at several stereotypical issues that always crop up around Christmas. The Rudolph one is pretty explicitly about Ron DeSantis and the right-wing "War on Christmas" culture wars, the Grinch one is about the kind of people who say you can't be happy while there are children starving in Africa, and then the others are a bit more lighthearted and are about the prevalence of Mariah Carey songs and also those mass-produced cookie-cutter Hallmark movies. It's not saying anything about Christmas or the concept of the holiday itself, it's just poking jokes at the culture that has emerged surrounding the holiday and its celebration.
@@OFS_Razgriz it seems you are paralleling what they said. It's satire from/about nit appreciating the Christmas season.
@@sinisterthoughts2896 What I'm saying is, someone who hates Christmas and someone who loves Christmas could agree about all of these points. It's not specifically a dig on people who "despise Christmas" it's just a generalized dig against certain stereotypical behaviors associated with the season.
@@OFS_Razgriz Interesting you bring up the "Red State" film, but ignore the "Eat The Rich" One.

Gotta be honest… I hate Christmas.
For some it is the most lonely time of the year.
It’s strange to have an emotion so negative about something so widely celebrated. And this scp captures it perfectly.

Too freaking good. Thanks so much for sharing some christmas for those of us less positive about the holiday.
I didn’t expect to laugh so much, and hearing Dr. Millar giggle 😅🌲 This was great!!
You know, for years scientists have wondered "can you make grown men and women cry tears of joy by playing Tom Jones' 'It's not unusual'"
And the answer is yes.
You can.
As long as it's preceded by 221 plays of "All I want for Christmas is you."

It's fine. I can be completely intolerant to classifying things for a period of time. It would be worth it to me to have seen the Die Hard film.
This is all fine.
Can you believe every single time I am going to sleep I put on one of his videos and they actually make me go to sleep
Wait, does that mean KISS saves Santa is part of an SCP?
Oooh, I love the injuries list at the end of The Night Santa Went Crazy section. 12 Days of Pathology. 😂
Ummmm... I'm pretty sure there's absolutely nothing anomalous about wanting to destroy the speakers playing the song. As a retail employee, I fully confirm the urge is real, non-anomalous, and extremely widespread. XD I love Dr. Millar's laughter there; I think he fully agrees.
Merry Christmas!
The reading of the injuries from "claus"trophobia reads like "the first day of christmas"
much like how the Ghost of Christmas Present uses the Milk of Human Kindness and the dust from his cornucopia to spread joy wherever he goes this VHS in my mind this is what the Spirits of Ignorance and Want can do with their powers.
I love the slight laugh at 17:30.
I'm going to start saying "merry motherfucking Christmas" 😂
@17:29 is Volgun’s genuine reaction and you can’t convince me otherwise
this is an epic trolling of the foundation by VKTM
It's nice to hear the safe class background music eery but relaxing
The little chuckles throughout this reading only made this SCP funnier. As if the Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer and Rudolph bits didn’t already have me chucking at my work desk. 😂
I laughed so hard at the last one. But they all got a smile and eyeroll out of me. XD I love off color Christmas media. A favorite of mine was "Walkin 'round in Women's Underwear".
