hi my dad was the concrete pourer on the ninian he worked for schwing pumps all concrete was tested on each pour he was known as harry schwing he worked on site from start to finish i can tell you now there where no cracks found my dad took pitchers stage by stage he had to it was part of his job and if there was a problem heed never signed off no matter the consequences i know this because iv seen all his notes and logs and as a kid he took me on site when we stayed at applecross and kishorn just on the other side of the loch
The Central will probably stand for another hundred years. Decommissioning seems next to impossible. If the central shaft does collapse I want everyone affected to know the cracks were concealed during construction.
