If PRC did add AI traffic, they should only add civilian vehicles so that way there aren't too many FD, PD, Sheriff, or DOT vehicles running around at the same time. Also, there should be a setting for the amount (1 - 10) of AI traffic that you can set in a private server.
@@WorldUndercover2024 i mean that would be at least a bit understandable but the proplem with AI cars is 1 their hard to add (at least if you dont want to make them fully brain dead) 2 They will up lag by a lot and 3 they will get annoying if you will bump into them on the road all the time (and if they have no collision then why even add them

I’ve been playing Ai test for the past year now and I just can’t get over it. The devs keeping adding new vehicles (most recently motorcycles) there is a new highway extension, police and swat as well as FBI are becoming more and more smart, and the crash physics are just insane for a Roblox game. It keeps getting better and better and I think it has the potential to outgrow ERLC IF the dev decides to make it into a game more than a testing place. The testing place itself has become a game too.
personally dont like singleplayer games, but ive played grand theft auto for a long time and rarely i was reminded that im actually the only real human there because of the active traffic and ai stuff

It wouldn't even be that hard to do. All the programming needed would roughly be about randomly determining directions at every intersection, adding some other functions to add character to the AI, and having them react to external stimuli (ie yielding to EMS with ELS on)

Everyone refers to them as bot cars or AI calls, but the literal only element of randomness to those calls are their spawn locations, *Which are selected from a predetermined list. The random stuff isn't even random!*
There shouldn’t be too many vehicles driving around like just a couple on the motorway and a few around the city because it could make some roleplays harder.
and another thing that would be good is that when you turn on the rotation as a policeman, the npc stands on the side with the car and above them questions are asked that you would ask as a policeman and you choose and get maybe 10 xp for that
AI police like in AI test would be so fun because then roleplays will be enhanced. For example, a police officer requests a swat unit and soon a bearcat will arrive filled with npcs that have the same gear as the swat gamepass. This could be a bit broken through as npcs would likely have less recoil then normal players. Also PRC should add AI robberies as it is usually very hard to catch a criminal who does a jewellery store robbery because by the time you respond they already left.
I think adding a whole different game with AI traffic and the same map as ERLC would be a lot better in my opinion but I don’t know how hard that would be because I’ve never made my own game, would love AI traffic in the main as well but also if players can turn it on and off it would be weird if you had it on to see a player who has the setting off drive through ai cars when they don’t see it, and just the lag too. Our new roleplay game: Los Vientos is actually planning on implementing this on a huge scale, with random world events, smart Npc traffic, you will be able to steal the npcs vehicles, crash into them and they’ll yell at you, ect
maybe they should not add it to the main game but maybe for private server with less people to make it more alive, It will also be cool if the police team could get call outs for drunk ai drivers or reckless driving something like that
They did add AI cars in a way. The DOT traffic stop calls where you replace a tire or charge a battery end with the AI cars driving off and despawning. They could maybe build off of this.
One way GTA manages loading map data while playing is when you are loading too much while driving a car actually will like swerve over to slow you down so it can load you can see videos all over about it

Make it so you only load the traffic 200 studs ahead of you and no interior if they ever add that to player cars in public servers you can drive through them and you only see them if you want but private server owners get to pick if they can hit the cars or not add a warning for lower power devices when they join and do the same for maybe NPCs like the Eddie
I would love this BUT if we have scenes on the roads they need to code them to stop or go around if DOT shut down a lane on the highway and not be a butt load of cars cause if they stop eventually it will stack up badly and cause jams that cause players to crash or not get somewhere but yeah would love it
Here's my issue with it. Many private servers have vehicle restrictions in place for only certain ranks, or just banned completely. This will be a big issue with server owners unless there is some way to remove certain cars.
the only problem with this is that adding a good not perfect but at least good Ai would take so much time and money + it also creates lag and 86 % of roblox users doesnt have a great laptop or pc to play like that , although it is a really great idea
yo what if rather than full blown ai police we could instead employ a new concept where a police officer of upon attaining a rank say sergeant for example could have option to call for ai police officers as backup during emergencies like shooting or chasing of a suspect .The amount of ai police officers who can be spawned can also be limited like for example for sergeant only 2 police officers and also we can optimize the vehicles and the arnaments which will be used by the ai police officers depending upon the rank of the player
One problem with being able to disable AI traffic. If people were to be racing or there was a police chase one player could crash into a car while one gets away. Just would make the game kind of unfair, so maybe there should be servers based off of what your device can run.

actually it wouldn't be that hard to implement. All you gotta do is create a node system for traffic. Set nodes where traffic may change lanes (ie on the Highway) set speeds for nodes. If an object (player, traffic cone, car) is in the way of traffic have node that player is on be disabled therefore making traffic unable to drive on. Then just create a random car generator (by assigning model values and using random) and bam you pretty much have an AI traffic system.
I say this under a bunch of videos, but I hate the fact that we could create a GTA clone on Roblox if people would come together. With this AI traffic, people making great graphics, good guns, great storytellers, and so much more, Roblox would have a lot of potential if you gave a team about 1/20th of the size of a big league game company Roblox studio and a year to work.
The thing that ER:LC could do is a bit more for River city (Due to being a city) And a bit less in Springfield (Due to being a Town) Or Maybe they can balance it.
