Just curious why uncle a lot of saving is using in his children education. In Singapore studying primary school and second school is quite cheap the fees. But not sure JC or poly. And studying university normally is can borrow for 🏦 bank or borrow one of parents CPF when you after university study. Working than paid back to your's parent cpf account

Government should check out Europe’s pension scheme. That’s why they enjoy their retirement without having to work after retirement. CPF for low income will never be enough.

You want the same pension scheme but are you ready to pay the same taxes rate as Europe, 47 - 57.5%? In Singapore low income of $20,000 you are free from tax, for $30,000. you pay less than 2% and CPF OA is paying 2.5%, SA paying 4%. Still can complain not enough.

Not enough. You need to work till you die ... with the raising cost of living. Only those who are rich, with high income jobs, have the luxury to really retire. Having the Majulah Package is good but the cash subsidies / payout to a person should be increase yearly as living cost increases yearly. It should be adjusted. And, if the cash subsidies / payout is based on the amount that one has in the CPF, then should it not be those who has more CPF get lower amount of cash payout/ subsidies and those with lower CPF get more ? This way, the majulah package really gets to help those who of of lower income with less CPF saved. Otherwise, it seems to benefit the rich more than the poor / those in need.

Even if you have a job an office job, it does not means that all office workers are paid with high income. Even a managerial grade has quite a wide range in pay scale. Only the top level / management level gets high pay / high income. And these management level position is few in any company. So, should everyone aim (make a choice) to go into finance as working in finance pays well ? Everyone should make a choice to be doctors, lawyers? Also, if one has low disposable income, even if one saves, he/ she can't save much. And bank interest rate is not high. Should these people then use whatever small amount of savings they have to invest in the hope of gaining more? But what about the risks? High returns , high risks. Can they afford to do this?
