In Question 33, it says in human veins...so how will there be oxyhaemoglobin? Veins always have deoxygenated blood right?

Question statement says about all veins. Generally veins contain deoxygenated blood but Pulmonary vein and Umbilical vein in fetus contain oxygenated blood. Pulmonary vein transport oxygenated blood from lungs to left atrium of heart while umbilical vein connects the fetus to the placenta, where the mother's blood transfers oxygen and nutrients to the fetus. Mostly examiner designs questions regarding these key concepts.

Thank you so much for such a detailed explanation!
I do have one question though, in qs 16, I understand that the end product is acting as a competitive inhibitor and inhibiting the function of enzyme Z, meaning that the end product will no longer be formed. but why does it mean that the quantity of the end product is going to decrease? why cant it remain unchanged? since its only acting as an inhibitor, where is the end product going that the quantity decreases?

Actually by acting of inhibitor end product stops being formed but it consumption in the body will continue. Like ATP energy molecules are insistently used in body either we stop its production in any case. Or else a general example if you stop bringing food in your home, it doesn’t mean it’s quantity will stay same forever 😊

Does facilitated diffusion requires a membrane in q19?

    • @biochemistryconcepts9991

Yes, facilitated diffusion requires protein channels in cell membrane . Because polar molecules, and other monomers can only pass through protein channels down their concentration of gradient. While simple diffusion don't require any specific channel, like gases can directly diffuse anywhere down their concentration of gradient.

      السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
Facilitated diffusion requires transport proteins. (Channel proteins are only involved in facilitated diffusion, while protein pumps are involved in both active transport and facilitated diffusion).
i hope you understand ان شاء الله تعالیٰ
