I work for a graphics shop and when you redo this or tint the windows, use a soapy water mix and spray a lot more on before you apply the film or vinyl. It'll apply 100x easier and use a good squeegee to push all the air bubble out. You should only need the heat gun if you have a stubborn bubble or bubbles. But anything curved is always 10x harded to apply to.
When you took the headlights off, I thought of how trippy it would look if you did the “coraline” movie look with sown on buttons instead of headlights.
I like the tint on the truck. I did the same color on my ‘03 Cooper S+ back about 10 years ago. The film was thicker and die cut. Installation was easy, talking the state trooper out of giving me ticket a week later was not!
The fog lights on old cars were amber or yellow-tinted for reasons of light dispersal so that the light didn't just bounce straight back off the fog as tends to happen with main-beam headlights. Tinted lights were also used as they're less likely to dazzle on-coming drivers, hence why they were used in France up until quite recently...
Well dare to be different,I like it, we called them fog cutters cause light traveled further than standard lights and looked nice. I had them on my highway transport trucks and passed muster. leave it. To me the back of your truck looks vulnerable. A tube bumper or what ever suits your eye might be nice or even "nerf" bars like the old school cars .... the short straight up/down bar on either side close to end of frame. Nice so far, looking forward to galaxy finish
Im not much into lowered trucks but your actually like how u lowered your truck ,and keep up the good work hope u get a limited slip rear end love the content
Who is the group in the background? They are great! And, the amber is cool...way cool. Hit it with a heat gun...lightly. I had a 64 Galaxie...it was my first car. It was a sandy beige color, but, faded horribly, 352 V8, AT, AC(factory add on) So, I repainted it 1955 Mercury Gulfstream Blue with a white top. It us a beautiful blue. My uncle had a body shop, so he painted it. He was an excellent body/paint man.
@@jasonpetrich4141 I'm old school...I hope he slaps a 390 4V, C6 in that Galaxie. A tough as nails engine. I would foo the high volume oil pump, double chain cam gear.
Amber is good in dusty/snowy/rainy conditions, I run two sets of amber lights on my WRX up here in Washington. I'm not sure about the legality of amber in Cali but most states allow white and amber headlights.
Good video although not a fan of that color for the tint just personal taste. I would personally choose a light and subtle tint to begin with that is in the range of purple & blue. One for the vivid light which would help with visibility of objects and terrain your headlights are designed to illuminate and two for aesthetics, but thats just me. Keep trying new variations and sharing them so we can live vicariously through you! :) haha BTW I HAVE NEVER WORKED WITH VINYL and it's been a whike since I watched anyone aplly it so take this with a grain of salt but... I would think a lot of the flaws in your application (which isn't bad for a first try) came from the vinyl creases left in the vinyl from being in a tight role right before the application, if one were to roll it out to let it relax for a while at minimum that might help or try doing so then stretch it flat on a piece of clean glass using the heat gun lightly just to get it straighter and leave it for a while before trying to apply to your final surface. I dont know if you can do this while keeping ths protective layer on it but if so do. The side of a clean fish tank would work well for this etc. Same as the concept of taking a wall poster that comes in a tight roll and puposefully rolling it in the opposite direction so to take some of the curvature out of the material and make it curve towards the surface of the wall so the curve works in your favor and not against you and any flat surface your applying it too. Alternatively maybe you could purchase ones that come shipped on a flat board instead of wrapped up which would save you a lot of trouble! Looking forward to what you cone up with next. We have a 1972 F250 in the family that looks pretty similar to yours. So curious as to what you come up with. Cool footage of all the other stuff at the car show. Thanks! Keep them comin! :)
Use water with a some dish soap not a lot wet the headlight put the vinyl on squeegee the air bubbles and as much of the water mixture as you can then use the heat gun to dry it off any other imperfections will go away after a couple of days
I think you should go ahead remove the tint from the LED's, & get a set of Halogens & then redo your tint on them. However the LED's look Really cool & give it a mean stance as it sits. just my observation. Thank you for the video & update on your truck!
Years ago I got pulled over for having my fog lights on. I didn't even know it was illegal to have fog lights on. He said it must be foggy. LOL I'm like are you kidding me thats a novel idea only having your fog lights on when its foggy who knew?
Try applying more soapy water next time I don’t know how to tint either but there this tinting guy at my work and he soaks the hell out the tint before he applies the tint and he does the same with the windows
that's a nice truck. your talking about doing things to make it look better. 1st thing is take that license plate off the front. that's the wrong ford emblem for that old of a truck.
not really my thing. but it,s not my truck either. if you want to talk illegal. try running blue clearance lights on the front. i got a fix-it ticket for that in my first car. the cop said that they were illegal, i ask him if they were illegal how could the auto parts store sell them.? that question did Not get me out of that ticket. i still have those lights in my roll away tool box. some day i will find a place/use for them.
Looks like your truck springs broke sitting there n headlights Na looks better thy way it was before...wish you didn’t lower your truck looked better before you lowered it ..but nice truck you got..
Tinting headlights is one of the worst ideas ever. Why would you intentionally reduce the light output of headlights? Might as well go back to some sealed-beam incandescents...
You have LED's why the hell would you go back to halogens because of some yellow tint, the LEDs in plain colors, yellow looks annoying and your limiting your light output, the point of the LED's is to be near the color of daylight.
Spray paint the front grill and bumper Matt black if you really want the aggressive look it'll go good with your wheels or any wheels at that. The lights look good I didn't think I would like them but yeah I mean yeah fix them all you need now is that black grilly boy and it'll look so evil the hood kind though...
I'm thinking you need a 4x4 version of your truck now. That red truck is beautiful.

why dont you get another f100 and install the other chassis on it and leave this as it is
Man these videos always make a long day at work so much better 🤙🏼
Not a huge fan of the tint but love the truck man. Keep doing what you’re doing.
When you took the headlights off, I thought of how trippy it would look if you did the “coraline” movie look with sown on buttons instead of headlights.
Ever thought of turning the chrome to the brush chrome look... bet it would look pretty neat on that pickup
I like the tint on the truck.

Hey Craig you should post a video.on tinting your windows.truck will look more better and your interior will stay cooler in the summer
I'd love to see more car show footage in the future. Looks like a beautiful place there and an awesome scene! Keep up the good work bro!

You thinking of boosting your 302 soon? A Weiand 174 would work wonders for it.

It makes it easier to see in winter you don’t get as much glare off the snow so makes it less stressful on your eyes
Hey Thecraig909 have you heard of the new 7.3L Godzilla V8 that Ford is making for the 2020 Ford Super Duty.
Looks pretty good man! Little details make big differences

Also there's 2 layers of clear on that. You have to peel the non stick side back to get rid of those bubbles and its easier to work with
Beautiful cars man and outstanding music. So much Americana going on here.
Looks sweet🏁
theres a clear "cap sheet" over the yellow PPF. you need to peel that off before you work with the PFF (Paint Protection Film)

Great video.
More Galaxy content...thx!
It looks good with the yellow tint

Not looking good with that wrap but at the end it’s your ride
You guys have way more car shows than down here in Texas
Move onto the Galaxy !!!!
There is an outside film protection on the wrap. Peel the layer off
When you plan on finishing the interior?
The truck needs a front NASCAR style lip/ valance!!! mabey a boss gt hoodscoop nice and slim and you don't have to cut the hood😁 she's looking great
I don't like the Amber myself but to each his own. Dude let's get on the Galaxy
socal car shows are really cool!! chicago car shows are all imports... i might have to move to cali!
Maybe try more water. That's what helped me when doing this 🤷♂️
I love that look
Those tint films have a clear film to protect the actual film. You can see at 5:26 that the clear is bubbling and can be peeled off
YEEEEEEE YEEEEEEE
How do you hook up the wiring harness for the trailers
Great. Do you have any info on how to adj. doors I just installed new weather stripping & I'm just not adjusting thing correct. It won't close.
You got a extra 2 barrel card laying around? I should could use one
I dig it.

I really like it. Although I don't think it would look good at all with any other truck color
I dig it 👍
Of course!! Eveything is illegal in cali😂😂
It was aight. I Like the shaded headlight Barnowl look. Buuuuut that's my opinion.
Try applying more soapy water next time I don’t know how to tint either but there this tinting guy at my work and he soaks the hell out the tint before he applies the tint and he does the same with the windows
Not illegal. So long as your car emits yellow or white lighting it is legal. Any other color is illegal. Did the same on my 90' d21
Yeah perhaps on the halogen headlight’s would be better
I have a 77 F-250 Ford Ranger looking to get some Halo lights like you got on your truck where to get them who has them thank you
7" 45w round hi,lo led jeep headlight. auxbeam i believe
I wanna see Craig bag this truck and ride frame
Please put a rear bumper on your truck. Also the Amber looks great
anymore galaxy stuff soon
Cool car show
Nice
Why can’t I have a car show like that in my town☹️
yee yeee
Electric blue would be kool
Cars registered in France were required to have yellow headlights up until 1993.
Its good
Try more soap and water and maybe a squeegee, it's like tinting
tinting your headlights is actually illegal in california, had a buddy get pulled over by a cop for it
The car scene looks so cool over there compared to Australia 🙄
Ticket time
Its growing on me looking to see the halogens
I don’t think it looks that good!
I like the idea you said at the end there but I think you should get some 100% clear tint to put over them so they dont get scratched overtime
look into some clear turn signal lenses
More prerunner videos please?
that's a nice truck. your talking about doing things to make it look better. 1st thing is take that license plate off the front. that's the wrong ford emblem for that old of a truck.
so your Dennis Gage now? lolol

That company you got your headlights from has had it posted for weeks that they'd be in stock by April 12th & yet...nothin.
Any chance you could provide their contact info? I thought maybe it would made available with the video upload, but no such luck.
Thanks

Need to lower the front more
Use baby shampoo and water. It has less chemicals in it.
