Your crochet scarves are beautiful. Love the gradient colors. The little Lego house is adorable. What a great thing to share with your Dad. Number 1 please.
I love that you stitched Il Pleut too! Thank you for joining me, Deborah. Yours looks great and works really well on your fabric. I wasn’t entirely sure from the pattern if those were supposed to be little half stitches or over one full stitches. I opted for the latter but it doesn’t make a huge difference to the look compared with your half stitches. It might have been a less intense stitch, but there was a lot of counting empty space😖 Thanks for sharing your Lego pieces. Orient Express is fantastically detailed. My son adored Lego City and we would always work together on his new build. I miss those days with him.
I am so glad you chose Il Pleut to stitch this year! It was a wonderful excuse to do so myself, and to see how each of our versions look in comparison. Your silks were beautiful!
Great Flosstube, so lovely you share you interest of reading and LEGO too. That book would be a perfect birthday gift for my friend so thank you for sharing! I love number 1 and 2 💗
One of the viewers of my channel, Arleen Curry, suggested that I watch your channel because we have some common interests, such as Lego and books! I've watch this one and your prior one - what fun! Thanks for the videos, and I'm looking forward to seeing more of your Lego projects. Oh yes, and your cross stitch, of course!
Lovely to see you again Deborah and catch up on your beautiful stitching. I loved Lego as a child so have lived my second childhood via my daughter and it amazes me how much it has changed in the 30 or so years in between! Number 2 😄
Thank you, Sally! Yes, it's amazing how much the Lego sets have evolved over time -- but such a wonderful thing to share with family, both older and younger.
I liked the color of fabric yo used with the french umbrella project..its so pretty. Also enjoyed seeing all the lego projects. They are all fascinating. Thanks for sharing. Number 1.
We've had a lot of clouds and gloom here in NYS too. The umbrella piece is lovely.. and certainly fits what our spring has been this year! I see why you like your scarves so much.. they're pretty. I've stashed away several scarf/shawl patterns along with the yarn to complete them and I've been thinking I should actually work on one or two of them lol. I often wonder if I'm wise when I choose to read a book before I watch a movie or TV version of it, but it's the way I prefer to do it. I haven't watched any of the movie versions of Persuasion, but I do love the 1995 Pride and Prejudice. The Orient Express is a great set. I did have to giggle a bit about the division in the sleeper car; one of my Christmastime favorite stories is The Christmas Train and I couldn't help but think about the part where the main character (Tom Langdon) describes his perception of what his compartment will be like after seeing North by Northwest and contrasts that with the actual compartment that he's been assigned to. 🪡👠
Yes, we've had lots of clouds and gloom here too! The umbrella is definitely something we both need, it sounds like. I have the same struggle you do: to read the book first or watch the movie? I tend to be pretty good about accepting the changes between them both and enjoying them as their own creations, but sometimes I just can't. The Christmas Train is one I've been meaning to read myself, so I'm so glad to hear it's one of your favorites!
Oh! I loved the Orient Express, I'm glad you showed it! As much as I love kitties I don't like full coverage so much so 2 for me! I really liked that umbrella stitch too! Quite unusual!❤
Hi Deborah I really like the Summer ABCs. Your English project bag is so cute too. Cute scarves! That version of Persuasion sounds interesting. I might get the Anne of Green Gables when it comes out. The Lego house is so cute. See you next time.
I love catching up on your stitching! I hope your plumbing woes have been solved. That napping cat is on my wishlist so it's a timely giveaway for me 1
My favorite movie version of Persuasion is the one with Amanda Root. I have not watched the adaptation from the 70s so I will have to look for that. The most recent adaptation is not worth your time....I watched about 20 minutes of it and turned it off! I love to watch how Anne and Captain Wentworth experience so many years of longing for each other and how it all comes to fruition in the end!! Your crocheted pieces are beautiful...thanks for a great video! 2.
That's such a good version too. I also love that story and watching them find each other again, time after time. And thanks for the heads up on the most recent adaptation -- that's what I've heard from others too. That's so disappointing, but at least we have the other versions!
The Lego houses are so cute. I love that it has stayed so popular. I had Lego, my kids had it and my grandkids all love it. I also love Jane Austen. She is one of the few writers whose books I actually re-read. I’m always looking for film adaptations. I tried to watch the 2007 version of Persuasion, but it was terrible. I’m usually pretty flexible. I have seen many of the Pride and Prejudice adaptations and for the most part I liked them all. The book is really clever with the artifacts. I prefer reading ebooks or audiobooks, but I may put some of those on my wish list for Christmas and birthday. Great video! Loved the stitching and crochet, too. Sorry about the plumbing, though. 💐 2
Lego and Jane Austen are both timeless in their own ways, aren't they? I love that we can pass that love along to others and re-enjoy themselves too. I am usually pretty flexible on movie adaptations too -- unless they are just truly awful, there's something to enjoy in each of them.
I don’t know if I can be friends with someone who doesn’t think that the Amanda Root/Ciaran Hinds Persuasion isn’t THE PERSUASION TO END ALL PERSUASIONS. I absolutely loved seeing the lego, though I am disappointed by the lack of multiply-stabbed body and a Poirot with moustache. And I am stitching Il Pleut along with Sarah, too! I’m still deciding about the writing.
I mean, there is so much to love about that adaptation! I think my only hesitation on giving it THE BEST designation is the script changes. Sometimes I am totally fine with things like that and sometimes, I just think whhhhyyy. I was also totally disappointed by the lack of Poirot and dead body. Maybe they can do a special release with a few extras?
Hi Deborah another enjoyable video, thank you . Like you I watch Sew me Sarah, she is a lovely person and another very talented stitcher. I loved seeing your cross stitched umbrella project the material you have used is absolutely gorgeous. The Orient Express Lego was amazing, how long did it take you? The crochet pieces were really pretty. At the moment I am crocheting a Christmas Granny Square Blanket in between my cross stitch projects. Take care my friend and don’t work too hard. 👵 x
Thank you, Molly! Yes, Sarah's channel is just so lovely. I am a faithful viewer! That's a good question about the Lego set - I don't think I kept track but it was definitely the biggest set I've put together so far. It took several full evenings and other long sessions to get it all done. A Christmas crochet blanket sounds like a great break in between your cross stitch projects! I have been thinking I might start a crochet blanket to do like that myself too.
Again...I love your taste in patterns! If it's not too much trouble I would love the name of the London Underground pattern if you happen to know it. I love London, and I love the Underground! Mind the Gap! 😁 PS - I loved Bath as well! 1
Really enjoyed this video. Going to the UK and Paris this year. Do you remember the name of the cross stitch shop in Paris? Hope your plumbing is just the way you want it now. Love the Little House piece. It kinda looks like bee colors to me which indicates summer to me. Really very pretty. Loved the tour of the Orient Express. What a cool hobby. Thx for the video.
Thank you! The two cross stitch shops in Paris I know of are Sajou and Les Brodeuses Parisiennes. If you get to either of them, I'd love to hear about it! That's a very good point about the colors in the ABC pattern looking like bee colors too!
I love seeing your Lego projects. I have always thought they were just different sizes and you built what you wanted out of it. You have really opened my eyes to the awesome kits they make. I don't know why books have to be changed when a movie is made from them. I can see maybe leaving out a few parts that aren't crucial to the book so the movie isn't extremely long but to completely change the book is terrible. I've seen movies that were made from books and if I hadn't already read the book I would have been lost in the movie. #2
Thank you! Yes, I am still amazed myself what Lego can and does do these days. They have come so far and seem to keep evolving in really neat ways. I wonder about those movie changes too. If you liked it so much you wanted to adapt it, why change it? Oh well!
Love your umbrella. Also your crochet projects are beautiful. Lovely colours. Number one 1
Thank you so much!
Your crochet scarves are beautiful. Love the gradient colors. The little Lego house is adorable. What a great thing to share with your Dad. Number 1 please.
Thank you! Gradient colors are just so lovely to show off. And it was such a good memory with him too.
Hello Deborah, lovely to see your stitching projects especially Summer abc’s. I’m looking forward to seeing this one complete. Fabulous Lego too 😊
Thank you! I loved seeing your progress on ABCs too! Your more pinkish red is so lovely on that fabric.
That french umbrella piece is really lovely. I like the minimalism of the design and your color choices are great. 2
Thank you! That's very much what I liked about that pattern too.
I love that you stitched Il Pleut too! Thank you for joining me, Deborah. Yours looks great and works really well on your fabric. I'm so glad you enjoy the "extra" content! And that it gave you an idea for your friend. Happy birthday to them!
Love that fabric for the Summer ABCs.
Your scarves are lovely!
Thank you! That fabric is one of my favorites!

Hello love your multi crafting channel love all the lego just started to delve into it thankyou for showing all your lovely things. Number 1 and 2 x
Thank you so much for watching!
I always enjoy seeing your stitching and now I am loving your crochet pieces, as well. I would love for you to show more of them. See you soon. 2 😊
Oh, thank you! It was fun to wear the scarves and show them off a little too. See you next time!
I liked the color of fabric yo used with the french umbrella project..its so pretty.
Also enjoyed seeing all the lego projects. They are all fascinating. Thanks for sharing. Number 1.
Thank you! I was so pleased that the color changes worked out so well.
I like very much to do Bucilla. The no. 1 you show us is so beautiful. One is not enough in stitching.
It's such a cute pattern, isn't it?
WOW! Your Orient Express is impressive! The hours it took to complete that is probably like doing a full coverage piece. I do love the Il pleut.
It really is such an impressive Lego set! That's a good point that it's like a full coverage piece -- thank you for that perspective!
So glad I found you today!!! Love your stitching, and yes, those adulting days are necessary but not welcome. Lol. Stitching totally helps! 2
I'm so glad you did too! Glad someone else understands the need for adult sometimes too, even if we'd rather be stitching!

Love your videos. Nice to see some crochet too. 2
Thank you so much! And I'm glad you enjoyed the crochet too.

Thank you so much, Linda! Always good to hear from you, my friend!
Orient express is super impressive. Thanks for the update 1
Definitely a very cool Lego set, isn't it?
I love catching up on your stitching! I hope your plumbing woes have been solved. That napping cat is on my wishlist so it's a timely giveaway for me 1
Thank you! And congrats again!
Hi, I was holding my phone and you popped up!😊
Perfect timing! ❤
So love the umbrella. Would love nr 1

Oh, I'm so glad you were able to find it and my belated reply didn't stand in the way! Bath is such a lovely town, isn't it?
