IF your longam is quiet, compact and lw and if its ammo is compact, lw and replaceable, (dont need a lot of it on your person) and your defensive pistol is a pocket 9mm, then perhaps you can spare the space and weigtht for a silenced, pocket 22lr pistol, if it's got a special, very short silencer on it, with the front sight on the "can". This 22 totals one lb, groups 2" at 25m and can't be heard beyond 50m, IF the slide is held-shut and IF the can is run "wet" with water and WD-40
You should but a Glock 23 in .40 cal and a wheatland arms nitride self lubricating 9mm conversion barrel.g19 clips fit in the 23 and with the barrel it shoots 9mm or .40 in one pistol pro tip get the threaded barrel and you can have the compensator or suppressor
it takes just 20 seconds to swap caliibers. If you have a GOOD 223 silencer, the full power ammo is rendered every BIT as "tame" to use as the normal 22lr ammo with no silencer. Practice snapshooting with the 22 unit saves you 30+c per shot, so it pays for its cost of $250 in a few months and in a year, pays for the silencer, too. Not one man in 100 has night vision. Make certain that man is YOU. Everyone has eyes, so being out in daylight is stupidly dangerous. The subsoinic 60 gr 22 has the same 120 ft lbs as normal, supersonic 22's, but has no sonic crack thru the silencer. it will braing men, dogs, hogs deer to 50m and inflict (eventually) lethal wounds to the body from 125m. If the bold is held shut, you wont hear such shots from 50 FEET and such wounds WILL be lethal without modern med care. At night, the quiet 22 unit is not nearly as much of a handicap as it is in daytime. Such 22's are expensive, hard to fine and are 100 rds to the lb. 60 gr 223's are 35 to the lb. 308's are 18 rds to the lb, 12 ga 10 shells to the lb. Which would you rather carry 100 rds of,?
Thanks. This gets me ready to have my Anti-Cartel loadout! JK 😆🤪 Anyhow, here are my choices… 1. I’m still figuring out which 9mm pistol will be mine. If I can shoot a Springfield XD40 Service Model or Tactical, I’ll probably take that with the OSP Slide Kit that can chamber 9mm. Or maybe a smaller 9mm pistol that I can have as a concealed carry. Must be Ca compliant though. 2. I’d have a multi caliber rifle that can chamber 5.56 AND .308. The PWS UXR for sure! It’d be my AR style rifle and long range rifle. 3. Springfield XD45 Tactical. This is my .45 ACP pistol of choice. It’s CA compliant and if I am in a permissible environment, I’d add the CAA MCK on it, making it like a PCC with a 5 inch barrel and probably make the trigger up to a 4 pound pull to make it almost like a sub machine gun when rapid firing with it. (Possibly my home defense gun instead of a shotgun.) 4. A snub nose revolver or the Sig Sauer P238 as my ankle gun and conceal carry when I wear less clothes (in hotter weather). 5. A 12 gauge shotgun or a 5-6 inch barrel .357 magnum revolver. (I at least need one revolver in case of an up close encounter.)
you have to AVOID people's betrayals, incompetence, noise, need to be fed, diseases, etc. Once shtf, dig a tunnel connecting your two (20m apart) spideholes. This can be done in 2 weeks, including the disposal-concealment of the excavated dirt, and assumes one man, 18" square tunnel, Digging from one end, then the other and assumes pre-buried, rot-treated splits of 4" OD logs, 2 ft long, for use in shoring up the 1 ft of dirt over your head. Half way thru the tunnel, open it up to an 8 ft long, 3x3 ft place to turn around and sleep. Rig 22lr noisemakers to the lids and sleep in peace. Nobody's suicidal enough to enter such a tunnel, post shtf If you scan 360 degrees with thermal imaging before exiting, alternate exits, come from different directions and use nail-sandals, you'll be a LOT safer than dummies stumbling around in daytime. In a year, 99% of the population will be DEAD, making it much safer (at night) to have hidden plots of peanuts and root veggies. Keep your area looking like any other and nobody will stop there. If they dont move on in a few days, some silenced brainings, at night, will hasten their departure.
you can't shoot what you aint got with you. You can't get men or animals to WAIT while you go get the "right gun for the job'. Soyou're stuck with having the most versatile gun and that is a shorty AR-15 in 223, with a silencer, night sights. trigger job, scope OPTION, (QD, see thru mount) free float tube, anti-cant bubble level, bipod and a 22lr conversion unit, using 60 gr Subsonic Aquila 22 ammo. Your BOL has to be in the woods around your local water source, cause you aint going any further than that. You can lash 100 lbs of stuff to a mountain bicycle and walk beside it. 50 lbs more can be in a trailer towed behind the bike., with 30 lbs on your back and your rifle in a spring clamp across your handle bars. All at night. If shtf, you can't be making noise, be out in daylight, leave sign of your presence (or passage) have a fire in daytime, or show a light at night. If you do those things, youll get shot inthe first month. You want a mag of mixed tracers and steel tipped ball, for dealing with moving cars/choppers, A 20 and 30 rd mag of 60 gr Noslter Partition softpoints and a 20 rd mag of 69 gr hp bt match ammo. Zero the scope with the latter, the "long range" wing of the peep sight with the Paritions and the normal, luminous wing of the peep sight with the 60 gr 22 lr rds. Convert the latter into winged "open" sights, using Brownells AcraGlass epoxy, a dremel cuttoff disk and a file. Blacken the epoxy with a magic market. Stay in a tunnel for a year, while the 99$ die off. Scatter-bury a year's supply of food at you BOL, Freeze the seeds, fats, supplements, meds, spices and bring them with you when you bugout. AT the BOL, cache the grains, salt, sugar, koolaid, and powdered milk.
you need anoter 40 lbs of armor, ammo, water, food, night vision, helmet, solar charger, pack, sleeping gear, med kit, shelter element, spare clothing. So, you wont be carrying more than one longarm. Nobody's going anywhere on the roads or by 4 wheels if shtf cause there will be ambushes everwhere. 1" wood and 3" nails stop cars. You're not going anywhere far or fast with 4 flat tires and the ambushers WILL follow you. There's no safe place to leave your other guns. so you'll have to remove their firing pins, bolts, cylinders, and bury them in seperated plastic bags. Ditto your ammo, or someday, somebody will be using that stuff to shoot at YOU.
How did people survive in the early 19th century I wonder. No electricity, no cars. No phones, no TV, and they all managed to live and pass on a viable society to you. All these guns won't put one bit of food in your mouth. Propaganda for gun sales men.

Nice to know that I have four of the five listed, just missing the Arkansas 15. My DPMS in 308 will have to make do, until I find one.
Good video 👍
Unfortunately, the likely Zombie apocalypse has been edged out by Russian & North Korean threats of nuclear attack .

Got 4 of your 5. The 19 has become my “catcher in the rye”. I go to gun shows and look at other guns, but I come home with another 19 😂
Perfect.
Glock 19. Shooter is shooting a Canik and wearing a Canik shirt. Hmmmmm.
I like your choices. You forgot to mention that you can get them in Stainless Steel.
The fact that an AR anything is mentioned is ridiculous. All those moving parts.

I really do not think that any of the small game I’m hunting with my 22LR is going to retaliate with missiles and tanks.
Arkinsas 15’s ??
