I love Rise Against! If you want to hear a band like them, listen to Refuse the Conformity. They're choppy but are a true version of punk. They're only 15 and honestly they're not too bad. They really grasp the true meaning of punk about being yourself and not giving a fuck about what other people think.
@SceneKitty3 I wonder what you would look like after 1 hour of jumping and screaming with no space for your arms + this was their new song by then, people didnt know it yet. Have you ever been to a Rise Against concert?
@murderface15niko They make music with a true meaning and not some bullshit song only saying gaga oor-ah-ah. To me, music with a meaning is the real music. And if it's one thing then this band is keeping real music alive.
Are you fucking serious? Look up more videos of that concert in Troubadour and tell me again they suck. This was without a doubt one of their best concerts/crowds of all time. The people didn't know this song since it was new, but songs from the Siren Song of The Counter Culture and RPM were fucking insane. Paper Wings gave me the chills. Black Masks & Gasoline almost made the place explode.
Mark Camancho they played this show before the sufferer came out so people didnt know the song, but when they played paper wings give it all and blood red, the crowd went insane haha
This guys voice is sick!! I thought he would never be able to pull it off this well live! I really appreciate a band alot more if they can pull off there music live like this...
I think this was their prime. They were fantastic. Still a fan, but their newer stuff is nowhere near this caliber. Their live performances also aren't as electric.
Their live stuff, now, is musically muddy and vocally weak. I just saw them and I LOVE rise against but I was disappointed in Tim's vocals. I think he burned out his voice by not frying correctly and the guitar / drums seem washed out to maybe cover it a bit... i dunno.
1) It's not a necessity for a rock song to have a guitar solo, or any solo. It needs to sound good and have strong meaning to be a good song. 2) Some of their songs do have solos. And they do quite well at it.
rise against is one of my favorite bands i love tims vocals and zacks guitar playing and the drummer and joes bass and what the songs are about they help me get through my daily life and problems
So you're saying metal and hardrock doesn't have a meaning? What about "Dark Days" by Parkway Drive? It's about how we're destroying this planet exactly like this song is. So if you're saying metal and hardrock doesn't have a meaning please think again.
GTFO. I'm almost 35 and love the two bands you just mentioned. But this is one of the ONLY bands that is actually keeping PUNK ROCK alive. One of my favorite bands and I'm willing to bet that I'm not the only one.
If music didn't evolve and grow as you're saying then we'd still be listening to bippety bop music from the 50's or worse, beating drums with animal bones... I think you're just like the millions of people nowadays who shield their eyes like babies to anything that isn't aged music, and refuse to adapt. Rise Against is VERY respectable even without their music's message because they actually do something; they're drug free, straightedge, and promote/are involved in groups like PETA. now grow up.
if you want to talk about destruction of music, take it to a nicki minaj video. Rise Against is anythin BUT what you said. The lead singer, if you watch interviews, is actually very passionate about everything they sing about, and all their songs (and even their band name) share a common message. Theyre "like destroying" music, because you wanted to hear some solos? Blink 182 never did solos. Did they destroy music too?
Are you joking? Try to get the deeper meaning of their lyrics...One of their songs has twenty times more meaning then any Iron Maiden song... Don't get me wrong,I'm a fan of Iron Maiden, but it's just pointless, yet amazing music...While this band is out there trying to make a difference in the world... And I'm sorry, but you do know that Metallica and Iron Maiden are the biggest commercial bands out there? They''re for bandwagon metal fans... This all makes me think that you're a bandwagon fan too
The reason why there aren't any more Iron Maidens or Metalicas is the fact that they are both terrible bands, and even more commercial than RA, btw. If you want new music with amazing solos and technicality go with something better like Animals As Leaders, Darkest Hour, Miser Signals, etc. One thing I like about RA is the fact that they only solo when necessary, and when they do the solos are great. I hate when bands solo in every song. It just ends up becoming mundane.
well even if there aren't any solo doesn't mean that is bad music. Well if u have time to listen to this band I can say that they so great riffs and one of the greatest bassists out there. And plz don't call rise against for a commercial band if u would understand the song and what the band stands for I think u would had said somthing else. Cause rise against is more than music! sry for bad english
@gohaster Last sunday in Groove - Palermo, Bs As. De puta madre el show! Here is the list: 1- Chamber The Cartridge 2- State Of The Union 3- The Good Left Undone 4- Heaven Knows 5- Re-Education (Through Labor) 6- Survive 7- Like The Angel 8- Help Is On The Way 9- The Dirt Whispered 10- Injection 11- Prayer Of The Refugee 12- Audience Of One 13- Architects 14- Savior 15- Swing Life Away 16- Hero Of War 17- Alive And Well 18- Give It All 19- Ready To Fall
maybe you should do a research about moshing.... you see, moshing was born in punk concerts, in fact the first non-punk band that had mosh in their concerts were Anthrax and guess why! Cuse they were friends with punk bands (Agnostic Front and others) and they went to each others concerts, so saying punk isn't for moshing is almost like saying salsa isn't for dancing or ska isn't for skaking. The pit in this video seemed weak tho.
@NirvanaRAA7X SOMETIMES SELLING OUT IS GIVING UP is a Rise Against song from THE UNRAVELING. I don't think they sold out, just think since Zach joined, this band started to suck (Savior? really? that's the song that they're known for? I remember when it was 401 Kill, Generation Lost, Black Masks and Gasoline, Give it All, Prayer of the Refugee. Now it's stuff like Help is on the Way? Fuck that!!!) Know Rise Against before you ask what that song is.
however stupid muderface15niko's comment may be, you don't have to lower yourself to his level. Not because a song has a solo in it, or is a metal genre, that it doesn't have a meaning! If people like a song, then it has a meaning. Simple as that. Even the shitiest poppiest song must have something to it if people likes it.
Rise Against(Or any other band) are ruining music because they don't have solos in their songs? Seriously? That's undoubtedly the dumbest think I've ever heard. I mean I get why someone might not like a band, but, SOLOS? What the hell people. Next thing you know people are gonna start whining because there aren't any fast "drum fills" in songs...
@AlmostaFlipinSkater You obviously don't know who Rise Against are if you think making a song about that stuff is stupid and sucky. Thier a band about going against ALOT of things hence thier name, you just don't get it. Appeal to Reason was an amazing album, pretty badass and if you think that sucked then you shouldn't be listening to this type of music.
@LudiKiwi Ever since Zach joined and Appeal to Reason was released, this band just sucked. Savior?? REALLY? Help is on the Way? REALLY? Revolutions Per Minute is the greatest album ever. Just sad that ever since 2008 they're no longer the same band. I can't believe 3/4 of this band made REVOLUTIONS PER MINUTE. Sufferer ended this band's legacy well though
wait u tellin me they were still playing to such a small audience when Sufferer and the witness was released? fuck I got to know them wayyyy too late D: the people in the first row can almost touch tims feet...good ol days...if only I had been to a concert where only songs from 1st to 4th album were played T_T damn it
@HeIlOwnz Probably most of them has never listened to this song...Tim said:''this one is a new song.'' They were so excited when they heard it...they couldn't talk...silence....shhhh.....=X
Solos? Try 'Collapse', 'Disparity by Design', 'Like the Angel', 'Blood-Red, White and Blue', 'Prayer of the Refugee', 'Paper Wings', 'Blood to Bleed', 'But Tonight We Dance' and some more. Plus, they're punk, not metal. They're really different than Metallica or Iron Maiden.
Let me recommend bands to you then, Sodom, Municipal Waste, Lazarus A.D., Bonded in Blood, Evile. I listen to metal too but I appreciate this kind of music as well, and if you don't then please don't hate on it and just listen to what you like
@murderface15niko an other guy who is traumatized with metallica and iron maiden they are not the only bands in the world you really need to know an other bands and other types of music, metallica is a really commercial band since a while...
@SceneKitty3 Agreed, but then again they don't really know their "new song" so people are trying to listen out for it :D And look at Paper Wings at the same gig. Same crowd, will blow your mind on the bridge.
Agree on the Endgame part, but Revolutions Per Minute had the best energy. Black Masks and Gasoline, Heaven Knows, Generation Lost, Halfway There, Broken English, Blood-Red White and Blue, Torches, Dead Ringer etc.
man, that was one of tim's worst performances, his voice was just dying. that being said, it was still a great performance as a whole and very true to the studio recording. weird how that works out.
dude, this is punk-rock, and Iron Maiden is metal(i think) if you want guitar solos go listen to metal and hardrock, not punk-rock, or punk, because these songs have a meaning :)
@CrunchyTuesdayface Their music is also about enjoying your life while you have it because it's so fragile, if people enjoy mosh pits why shouldn't they? It's not like it's hurting anyone?
can someone please give me the link to the video where tim is singing and at one point he like sings right into this guys face who is in the crowd... I cant find irt!! :(
1:25/1:27, bad fry scream of Tim, thought that happens to the best singers, and it's really hard to acomplish a fry scream like tim has, Thumbs UP for Tim! :D
@pikegeneral Yeah, I thought the same thing. I went to their show here in brazil in the beginning of the year and I must that it was the best show of my life!
I love Rise Against! If you want to hear a band like them, listen to Refuse the Conformity. They're choppy but are a true version of punk. They're only 15 and honestly they're not too bad. They really grasp the true meaning of punk about being yourself and not giving a fuck about what other people think.
i feel their energy 14 years later through a screen, amazing...
Amen brother! To me any band with at least one song with the All Mighty D-Beat it's mosh-worthy!
And if it's one thing then this band is keeping real music alive.
crowd sucks they deserve better they are an amazing band
Are you fucking serious? Look up more videos of that concert in Troubadour and tell me again they suck. This was without a doubt one of their best concerts/crowds of all time.

Mark Camancho they played this show before the sufferer came out so people didnt know the song, but when they played paper wings give it all and blood red, the crowd went insane haha
damn his voice was really different back in that time.
This guys voice is sick!! I thought he would never be able to pull it off this well live! I really appreciate a band alot more if they can pull off there music live like this...
Well, currently your old thoughts are right
"Every action has a reaction, we've got one planet and one chance"
Too bad it’s over a decade later and still most people don’t give a shit and the planet is still being destroyed. It’s a sad thing to witness
2023 We are finally taking global warming seriously.
@@puppetmaster8551 It has gotten ever worse tbh
they should be the band in Scott Pilgram. Vegan power!
I think this was their prime. They were fantastic. Still a fan, but their newer stuff is nowhere near this caliber. Their live performances also aren't as electric.
I think it's because the crowds now will absolutely destroy Tim. With the amount of people that are at rise against concerts.
Eh. His voice isn't the same, and his heart doesn't beat for these songs like they used to. The songs are also not as great these days.
Their live stuff, now, is musically muddy and vocally weak. I just saw them and I LOVE rise against but I was disappointed in Tim's vocals. I think he burned out his voice by not frying correctly and the guitar / drums seem washed out to maybe cover it a bit... i dunno.
Rump Buffalo say them on the 3rd, personall i thought it was amazing. Best show i've ever been to. Tims vocals have healed up a bit it seems.
Wow, that guy can really push his voice AND stay melodic. Talent.
I love how they sound just like the CD or better. Not many bands can do that these days. It's a lost art.
That drum fill in the breakdown always makes my girlfriend jealous cause she knows she will never manage to get me harder than when I hear it 😅
What’s the time stamp, I feel like a missing it
@@puppetmaster8551 3:12
Has always been my fav Rise Against song and what a performance here!
its the best ready to fall live i ever see
Wow his voice is made by the gods :O
Nobody has changed my life more than Rise Against, always number 1 in my heart
Esta rola la escuche en un anuncio comercial, no recuerdo cual, & en un sountrack de una peli, & ni puta idea que era Rise Against :3
They should do LITTLE concerts in bars and clubs
1) It's not a necessity for a rock song to have a guitar solo, or any solo. It needs to sound good and have strong meaning to be a good song.
2) Some of their songs do have solos. And they do quite well at it.
saw them live with the foo fighters :3 sooooo goood
What a fucking awesome show
Rise against influenced me a lot!
My favourite band.
This is so well mastered I thought it was dubbed when the song first kicked in. Holy shit.
lmao the crowd reminds me of the virtual crowds in Rock Band and Guitar Hero. "Look at that virtual crowd go!!!"
I absolutely love bands that can pull off such a live performance ❤ I'll always come back to this video
rise against is one of my favorite bands i love tims vocals and zacks guitar playing and the drummer and joes bass and what the songs are about they help me get through my daily life and problems
SLOW DOWN!! Use a click track! Their drummer is rough. He couldn’t even click it in properly
So you're saying metal and hardrock doesn't have a meaning? What about "Dark Days" by Parkway Drive? It's about how we're destroying this planet exactly like this song is. So if you're saying metal and hardrock doesn't have a meaning please think again.
@tragedy113 I wish I could haha. But the comment I left was not supposed to be negative I meant it to be positive :)
You wanna see bad singing live? Go check out Sum 41's live videos. It's a lot harder singing live than in a studio.
GTFO. I'm almost 35 and love the two bands you just mentioned. But this is one of the ONLY bands that is actually keeping PUNK ROCK alive. One of my favorite bands and I'm willing to bet that I'm not the only one.

so funny to see the crowd can´t sing along with it cause it was a new song, while im sitting here in 2012 and know each single, amazing word.
I don't know about you but if I were at a Rise Against show and I got the privilege of hearing a new song I'd be going fuckin' nuts. lol
Dude, i listen to many subgenres of Punk, Rock and Metal but we bette go against this Pop und HipHop crap what the teenagers listen to!
@D4NI3LSCR43M I agree, like Muse. Whether you like Muse or not, you can't deny they sound EXACTLY like the CD, and a lot of times better.
hell no, i mosh to real stuff like a.i.l.d and white chapel, impending doom, ect ect. but none of that emo shit before someone says it.
0:32 certainly lacks JUMP!
Who ever mixed the audio for this is fucking A1
I dont know what kind of bands youve been seeing if you think he's a good singer live... Im a fan but ive seen 50 better singers live
Buuuuu to this crowd! they are mummies, tomorrow Rise Against plays here in Argentina and we are gonna teach how to party!!!
um.. ..the crowd? was like.. seriously? this was AMAZING. and they're just like.. woo.. yeah. bob your head.. rock on man.. lol.
mosh pits were born at punk concerts and there is no such thing as "rules" its punk....see i just poked a big hole in your logic
its weird, his voice sounds so different in this era of RA
This didnt age well.
i really hate that stupid columbiana commercial why cant shejust get over it damnit nothing original about that movie..
@HeIlOwnz Its cause it was a new song check out paper wings or like the angel that was played here the crowd was awesome
Is he rushing this song? It sounds like he's speeding through this compared to the regular MP3. Like he's doing a speed run
@HeIlOwnz well it was a new song then, so they wouldnt know it that well, so they wouldnt really know what 2 do?
@greendayfr33k no offense dude, but they're a punk band, following they're lifestyle isn't exactly the point
@Maxim199x TSatW was released 4th july 2006, and they mention it's a new song. So probs around that time
@Unmauricio but we've already wasted this chance, because of Ju*t*n B*eber (sorry for mentioning her name)
Whoever was standing in front in Tim in that crowd got a shower of sweat and spit from the looks of things.
I wonder if the whole front row could sell the saliva on their foreheads from the lead singer on ebay.
where was this concert played??? if anyone know it... please i would be pleased if he could tell me!!
no because punk isn't for moshing. thats like going to see daft punk and head-banging the whole time...
i'd love to be straight edge, but sadly i can't quit smoking. but i don't drink or eat meat. weird?
@HeIlOwnz watch black masks and gasoline from the same concert youll change your mind xD its a mess! xD
@pikegeneral cause its a new song and its hard to rock out to somthing u have never heard before
slowed + reverb version : ruclips.net/video/qGtxc_d26HI/видео.html
Looks like somebody poured a bucket of water down Tim's face by the end of the the song. O.o
@soupmister987 No the guitarist here is Chris Chasse the new one is Zach Blair from Gwar.
@Th3Unf0rg0tt3n That's because their music is very simple.
@MetalMusicUncensord When you have to sing that fast you don't have time to swallow ;)
@SceneKitty3 watch the other videos from the concert and tell me its not a good crowd
Man, this video must be heeeellll old, for Ready To Fall to be considered a new song
It would be better if Tim had enough breath to actually sing his songs properly...
@Crush40pwns sure its crazy moshing but its still to punk. thats why its a fail
umm yes. and i wouldn't mosh to soad either if thats what your trying to say
he said at the start it was a new song, so they woludn't have known it well
