Question! How do I get my foot in this field? I've been applying as a stable hand to local barns but so far haven't heard back from anyone. I was raised on a 73 acre ranch & can handle horses, chores, a tractor/mower & can do basic repairs on fences. I feel like I'd really enjoy this job but can't seem to find adequate information on it. Thanks so much in advance xx
Honestly I kind of had to work some working student type jobs first (ie work for ride time and coaching) and then just kind of stumbled into this position with the right referral. All I can say is be willing to work hard and not make much money in this industry! But your best way to get your foot in is find a place who is willing to train up the right person or who exchanges work for ride time/coaching as your first foot in
Hello, I Just came across your channel~love it! I’m in the process of renovating a barn for future horses. I have been looking for stalls, mats, and the best way to build our wash station. What mats did the owners use in the stalls, and wash area? Thank you for help. Have a great day!
Just regular rubber mats!! Although if I was building a barn and had the $ I would probably look into comfortstall mats! I’ve heard good things! Good luck with your renovation!!
@@RideandRoam Thank you, I was wondering about the Comfort-stall mats. I was hoping to find some reviews on the mats. I think it’s American Stalls where I found them. My little girl is currently in lessons for Equestrian Riding. We want to find the right pony for her to compete and provide the best forever home. I have been watching so many videos and searching for the best barn idea designs and clearing fields for our turnout areas. I love your channel Thank you for your help.

New Subscriber, Love your day to day videos really helps watching what all yall use product wise. Random question, the broom you use around the stalls. What brand or type of broom is that?
It’s just a black stiff broom from the local feed store! Looks like this www.farmvet.com/Chemical-Treated-Broom?location=&quantity=1&stable-and-supplies-size=3
Great question! Some horses do and some horses don’t like the clippers as much. Some feel like it feels like a massage on their skin and really love it! Others the noise is a little scary. Just depends on the horse!
Love the channel! Random question but i've been looking for barns / builds that I want to buy in the future. How did you get your barn and you mind if I ask how must it was?
Fixing to head out to the barn with a longggg list and this was very motivational!
