On the Legal Requirements along with insurance you may want to get bonded as well.

I’ve been wanting to go on my own. I work for the largest appliance repair company there is. We all know who that is. I make decent money. I do side work and sometimes I feel I’m sick of it. When customers call you back for a customer instruct and when they call you back you only charge once. So I can’t charge them again. I’m to nice also. One thing I’m bad at is charging the right price. I’m always giving the best price. And everyone charges more

Hey there. Sometimes business charge more due to high overhead. By being solo you can usually make the same amount of profit, even though you charge less due to less outgo. Find the price that feels good and still makes you a decent profit. You can adjust and change after that. You just don't want to wake up one day and find you made more as an employee. So make sure you pay yourself as the employee and the business is profitable. Good luck! - tammy
