Every time someone tries to review The Forgetting Moon, names such as John Gwynne and Tad Williams crop up, not to mention even Stephen King and Joe Abercrombie. And if that isn't enough for fantasy fans to give this a try, I don't know what is. This is right up there with any modern day fantasy series I've read.

Sometimes you can tell when a story will stick with you, and I know I’ll still be thinking about this world and these characters further down the line than I normally do. While I was reading, I kept getting little bits of other books. Some of the stuff in there was very Kristoff-esque and I was living for it. Great review, Mike! Glad you enjoyed it as much as I did! 😁

Loved the intro. This book was my intro the fantasy genre at the age of 39 and got me hooked. I loved everything about the first 2 books and can’t wait for the 3rd in nov. Edit: Beer-Mug best pet name ever. Plan on naming a dog that in the future. Ahhhhm come here muggy

I've borrowed it from the library in Audiobook and have just started . I'm kinda like Mike with reading books that way but getting better with not letting my attention wander. Earbuds help a lot. 😊

Now that i have knocked Shadow of the Gods off my tbr this is the next big book on my list. Any conversation with Brian Dufree is entertaining so that will be cool
I read primarily, almost exclusively sci-fi, but I like this channel so much that I think I’ll get back in to fantasy. I found Durfee because he does some nice videos, recommends and reviews sci fi, and seems like a cool nerd to me. I think I’ll pick his books up.

Hell, my own football team was at least 30% nerds. It’s not so archetypal breakfast club anymore. If you’re not a nerd, you’re at least nerd-adjacent. Coming from a fellow jock-nerd.
A really good and comprehensive review. I would recommend the series to all fantasy fans. You can read a long book at your leisure. I personally waited 3 years to start the series😂 The book is insanely good. The TFM clearly shows which series Brian has been influenced by. PS I had to start the sequel yesterday, I couldn't wait for the beginning of September.
My copy just arrived last night and I just might have to clear my tbr after I finish The Bone Witch series by Rin Chupeco. Thanks for the great content as always!
