I have been practicing mindfulness for 12 years. I began WHM and breath work of all sorts 4.5 years ago.
I still feel helpless and out of control. Meds have helped but I am still floundering. I think I may have never known what calm and safe feels
Like and So I don’t know what I’m searching for.
I spend hours a day breathing, allowing, monitoring, and working to relax yet my body is in a constant state of burned-out vigilance. I can’t maintain full-time work and my closest relationships are falling apart after years of struggle. I’m so tired.

It sounds to me like you may be trying too hard. I heard something about a year ago that was epiphany-level for me. To summarize, our efforts to improve our mental health are often diminishing returns. In my opinion, it's possible to give 100% for 50% benefit when 60% effort would give 70% benefit. Everyone is different, but I think you may find better results in putting some time into not trying. Personally, when you are struggling, it seems so incredibly counterproductive to think you could benefit from less, but it's true. Just an example, a person who is unhappy and puts every day into being happy will never reach their goal. Because when there is fear and anxiety in that person's head of "how do I be happy, what will make me happy, did this make me happy...", then you're always chasing the next happy thing and not living in the time that may have made you happy. Progress by not trying is a hard concept. This concept is not mine, but it did help me a lot when I was in a similar situation. I hope it can you, too ❤

You are worth the fight, my friend. I can relate to your struggle. In my book, The Language of Breath, I discuss a new perspective that might help you on your journey. Never give up on you ❤️

Hi Jesse. Thank you for all your videos and guidance. Where I live there aren’t very many (if any) breathwork facilitators. I am exploring becoming one. I really appreciate your perspective on a scientific basis behind modalities. I am wondering if you could tell me what the best course of action would be to becoming a facilitator.

Thanks, John! I certify breathworkers in The Language of Breath Breathworker School every year. The 2024 class is full, but next month, we will begin taking applications for the 2025 class. We are the best overall education you will find, and I'd love to have you apply!! For more information, go to www.languageofbreathcollective.com
