    I am a descendant of the Subanen tribe. My lolo is a pure blood subanen. And I am really thankful that you vlog our very own subanen kampilan... one of our blades that shows the culture and history of my tribes men. This made me more proud of who I am and what subanen tribe can do. :)

      Mukhang hindi naman pla nakakatakot pasyalan ang muslim area natin sa mindanao mukhang mabait naman pla sila.. itabi nlng muna ang relihiyon at bigyan importansya ang pagka kapwa pilipino natin.. mas nakaka interes yung mga pinanggalingan ng pilipino at mga ibat ibang heritage, tradition mukhang nakaka aliw.. di ko alam ano tausog ano moro wala akong alam kahit alin mn jan sa tingin ko sila nlng siguro talaga ang natira na sinaunang pilipino tradition or heritage. balang araw papasyal din ako sa iba ibat sulok ng ibat ibang tribo at mga katotobo.. mangongo lekta ako ng pilipino items.. mukhang magiging magandang hobby to 👍..

    Kampilan looked like closer similar with mandau dayak in indonesia.....and the others blades looked like...golok ,parang and keris from around nusantara tribes...maybe filiphino and nusantara people thereis conection in the past ,what a beutifull blades.....greating from nusantara...👏👏👏👍👍👍

    We do sale some of those blade specially the bolo and pira. Pira is only produce for especial request for our client. Kahit sa mga cuarto namin sa ilalim n bed mero kame. Business got bad after the Zamboanga seige and my dad decided to close our store.

      Yun din nasa isip ko this is heritage.. let step aside religion.. mukhang maganda nga to na hobby.. balang araw ako rin lalayag kahit saan sulok sa liblib na lugar kokolekta ng mga gawa ng mga tribu oh katotobo.. pwede ba kaya maisakay mga yan.. mukha ata papalag metal detector at x ray machine.. 😂

    I have a big barong back home. Its not really antique like ancient. 14 kills based on the notches. Cant use it because the blade has this large crack. But its not for sale i cant tell you where i acquired it or how it got the big crack and why its got 14 kills. I will have to visit tugaya some day.

    are those blades tempered and heat-treated? i know blades from tugaya are live blades but not hardened.

      the ones from tugaya sometimes are just for tourists/display items. the ones from sulu, zamboanga, basilan most of the time are hardened blades. edge quenching is the norm.

    I just have a suggestion that can any one create a channel for amulet collection.... Here in jolo sulu a lot of amulet used by the tausog. And in basilan and tawitawi also. They become super human when they used it like for war or any battle.

    My grand father sword is one meter long... It is hundred of years old sword given to him by his ancestors... It took so many lives during battle here in jolo sulu for the last 40 yrs. If u touch it it made a sounds weird... A tiny sound.
