My son turned 20 this past October. And i find myself looking back on his toddler days. I miss those days. Even the rough ones. And never thought i would. This song rings so true.
The older I get . The more I realize life is precious and don't ever rush it I miss every day oh my childhood from fishing to hunting to throwing rocks in the lake with my pops .. And people I grew up with some have passed away some I can't even remember there names . But to this younger generation take your time enjoy being outside go fishing go ride your bikes enjoy just smile and breathe.
That is so true! My babies are 26 and 24 , I so miss the toys everywhere, the sleepless night, the cuddles and mainly hearing my babies playing together and their laugh. Take in every second.

I love this song and I'm so glad you reacted to it. I'm 54 years old and If I could offer one piece of advice to young people. Take this song to heart! Don't spend your life thinking about what you are trying to get to in life. Planning for the future is fine but the good times are right now! Take it in and enjoy it now. When you get older some of your best memories will be when your doing things like eating Ramen noodles in a small apartment. Being a little older this song makes me choked up every time I hear it because I know how it is so true.

At 56 years old and retired 10 years ago after 27 years active duty, I can attest to the fact that time flies by faster than you can imagine. Cherish every minute good or bad. It seems like it was only yesterday that I was in my early years.

Oh, absolutely! I miss that time. I miss my daughter and her friends running through the house! Now I miss my 3 year old grandbaby sleeping in my arms. She's so independent now. I watch my daughter, so tired and frustrated some days, and I want her to listen and understand this song.
In my own personal experience- I've found out that the older I get, the smarter I am in my kids eyes. Now that I've become a great-grandmother, I've become a pure genius of the family. ;) Funny how that works.

Trace Adkins is a very kind and generous person who just this past weekend gave a free concert in our Tornado stricken town of Mayfield Ky which was devastated and destroyed on December 10, 2021. an EF4 tornado left 24 people dead and at least 200 people injured in Graves County Kentucky, according to the National Weather Service. Trace stopped here to help raise money and bring awareness as our people work and struggle to rebuild, on his " Somewhere in America Tour". Yes were gonna miss this but we will rise up better than ever.

OMG I'm 58 and I not only miss my teen years I miss raising all the neighborhood kids along with my own in my 30's & 40's. I would give almost anything to jump back 20yrs!!! I remember singing this song to my daughter all the time when she was younger, and now.........She's a mommy of 5 (She also takes in all the small town kids, just like I did), she's a teacher, community leader, has great husband, sometimes overwhelmed and I ALWAYS remind her your gonna miss this!!! I miss those days more than many. Not just because I was this girl. But because I would give anything to have my big brother back. They were the best days of my life. I had my best friend. He's been gone a year and a half. And I have wished so many times, to go back to the good ole days. Before I lost him and so many others.

I am 71 and I miss those days everyday 😪 I have to take care of my disabled husband and I love him but wish things could be better
While I don't miss most of my younger years, and definitely wouldn't want to go back. I do miss when my kids were younger. I coached my oldest daughter for 6 years in softball, before she started high school ball. She still plays today in a co-ed league. And helping the middle daughter with some soccer footwork, my son with his football positions and techniques.
They're all grown now, but I sure look back on those times and smile.

I'm 32 now as of 2021 I have three kids I've been married for 9 years and at my age the one thing I miss is being in school having friends growing up with just being free to do whatever I want legally and responsibly but not having to worry about bills. I love my life now but when we're kids we always think when I get older I can do whatever I want and that's far from the truth. Being a grown up it's cool at times but at the same time a lot of responsibilities and yes I miss it
I'm 43 man, I miss my high school days. Friends, adventures, family members long dead...hell I even miss my first jobs. Simpler times back then, for sure.
I am almost 65 and God how I miss those days and how I wish I could go back and redo them with a little bit more maturity and foresight. (Usually by the end of this song, I'm full on sobbing. This does take me back to the good times when I was in high school and junior high those were some great days. But in the end we have to move forward but not fast just cherish every moment you have and remember just to be you.
Oh this song is so right. I went from being a teenager in highschool, a mother in my 20s and now my baby is getting ready to turn 17. I remember saying to my mom the same thing not realizing 20-30 years down the road I would be hearing the same thing from my own daughter. Time does go alot faster when you have a child.
I don't have a lot of stuff I miss from my earlier years aside from family time, but this does remind me of a teenager that was telling me she was gonna go straight into being a singer, didn't need college, didn't need training, etc, etc. Now, I'm 40, so there were no youtube tutorials when I was a kid. Recently, I've been watching vocal coach reactions and the lovely ladies of symphonic metal, but I learned most of what I know about music from my family and a music minor. I was real friendly with her and told her, that's great, but don't overlook the theory behind music. It can help you talk to other musicians and studio people. I mean let's face it, if you're going into the biz, you will eventually need your own songs, and that's way easier if you at least know some of the basics. Naturally being a teenager she brushed me off, but I applauded anyways. Hey, it takes some gumption to get up there and sing.

Everytime I see reactions where Billy says listen the the OG's even though if my calculations are correct I'm a few years younger than Billy but he is one of many I look up to. Every time Billy drops golden nuggets of wisdom I appreciate it and listen with open ears. Billy, I can't thank you enough.
Lord isn't this song so true, I miss times when the only stress was if a friend didn't read a note I passed them in class. I used to be a kid that wanted to grow up so fast, and now that I am 36 I would give anything to press rewind for just a bit. Because, with age came a swarm of troubles and responsibility I was never ready for.

My daughter is three and a half and my son is two and it seems like only yesterday that they were born. It seems like it was only a year or two ago that my wife got married but it has actually been thirteen years so absolutely this song is so true. Time goes by way too fast and it's so easy to let it slip away and not cherish those little moments. Time is such a precious commodity that we far too often waste. I don't miss ANYTHING related to my school years. Although now that both my boys are grown, married and one just had his second child,I miss them being small. They grew up so fast but they grew up to be amazing men. Smart, happy and successful. Now I am drinking in all the time I can with my grandbabies.
