Summer of 1984 I was on the 51B bus going home to Oakland from Berkeley strawberry canyon summer day camp , when a older bully was talking shit to me , Orlando the Ox stood up for me and said " Hey you wanna mess with somebody ? Come fuck with me ." Bad ass !!! The hood shut the fuck up . Orlando was staple of Telegraph Ave working security at Rasputins records . I got to thank the big Ox again 4 years later in 1988 and remind him of the story , as we were now neighbors in West Oakland and went to partys at his 8th & Peralta Special Forces house .That was cool . Those were absolutely the days. Thank you Orlando "Ox" . I still have this great !!! album on vinyl .

@@andylane3739 HEY DUDE IM A BIG FAN OF YOUR BAND. I actually own the record you guys were on and it was actually “Party Animal” recording was GIRLS GIRLS GIRLS, and you were the bassist right?
Killer!! The thing i love about the early Punk/HC bands is they all had their own sound unlike bands from the 90s til current day that all seem to sound the same & very commercial!
True especially the American punk and hardcore punk scenes were so unique, they all had their own sound I love it! 90s hardcore is garbage hipster shit, their sound was rehashed from the early stuff
Shit like this will never exist again. This is so raw and awesome. Whoever recorded it captured this shit dead on. Be thankful you hit this link, the future is bleaker than ever
Yeah, well, I just saw FEAR, Circle Jerks, 7 Seconds, Negative Approach, Black Flag, Cro-Mags, TSOL, Dickies, Agnostic Front, Murphy's Law, so "this shit" does still exist in 22. Special Forces is one of the greatest bands I've ever heard! 70s & 80s are gone, but hardcore is alive & well, albeit more generic, commercial & respectful. I miss the 80s punk, but I love & appreciate what we have now. If you doubt it, watch Gulch's last gig @ Sound & Fury. ruclips.net/video/0PQjVbOIbeE/видео.html
My favorite band for sure (Defend the Keg was up there, too). I miss Ruthie’s Inn - late night Wednesdays always filled out the week (with the Mab, On Broadway, and The Farm keeping weekends busy). Will always remember Orlando giving me the last half of his pitcher of beer before going on. Wasn’t this a 45rpm EP? It’s so awesomely fast sometimes I would forget to change the speed and play a whole side at 33 1/2, and not even notice it!
Depending on the condition of how bad it's warped, that can be fixed actually if it's not that badly warped by an odd trick I learned from an old head before me.
To me these fast as shit fkrs are the best. Partied with Orlando the singer a a few times in SF. Why isn’t this black individual fronted band in the history books? Whatever may be I don’t want everyone to know about “all” the good punk bands 👊🏼
@Happy Farm, no you're right I did misread, I commented on this at like 5am going off no sleep for a while. My apologies. I didn't read what the dude above you said before I responded to you. I used to rock this record everyday back when.

Holy shit! Played with these guys in '84 on a bill with the mighty Jerry's Kids - in Berkeley CA. Our dumb band was Our Neighbors Suck.

I want to like this, but I don't want to ruin the 420 likes. Nice that there are only 5 dislikes.
Best punk band from Oakland California
Berkeley actually, but thank you!
Bill Collins were you in Special Forces?
@happy farm - it says berkeley hardcore on the cover...
thought police it also says Richard M. above that comment. Guess you can’t read either

What was Orlando's other band name, United something...can't remember!!
United Blood. Before that it was Intrepid AAF.
