For those that are interested, it seems to run fine handheld on Steam Deck so the controller support is mostly there. Some menus are navigated with the joystick but so far it’s not too reliant on these so seems to support controllers fine. I’ve been playing just for 1 hour but it seems fine with the Steam Deck controls. It’s not perfect yet, but not bad tbh
@paulhumphreys-jl4ob Steam doesn't have an ETA on its release, but judging from the playtest, I would think MAYBE some time this year? You can follow the Astrometica developer on Twitter, and they might have a Discord.
Oooooh, another shiny! 😄 Similar but different enough to Planet Crafter. I will put it on my wish list, thank you for showing it. I was hoping for more Planet Crafter but this counts too!😉😊
This reminds me of Breathedge. But that has base building only in it's first half, and not as chill as this. It's a nice chill game, no rush it seems. It could use a lighting overhaul to make it more atmospheric.
I've never heard of Breathedge (that was before my survival game addiction), but it has a SPACE CHICKEN?! And it's on sale for 7 bucks?! I don't need ANOTHER game on my backlog, but it's tempting! Thanks for sharing! 😁
It reminds me of breathedge like others have mentioned. Also like planet crafter too. It looks too similar to those for me to try the playtest for now though, but ill keep an eye on it for the future release. The resource management / survival aspects remind me of planet crafter and I didn't absolutely love those parts of it. Thanks for showing the game!
The beginning does seem rather predictable and copy/paste from other games, but I do know there is more to the story as well as space vehicles, so there are differences that I didn't get to. Eager to see where this one goes. :)
@@BuckeyeBunnyyes, for sure still interested to see where it goes. Also it makes me realize how much I appreciate how different astroneer is, and why it's probably my favorite in the genre. There's a bit of a learning curve but I hope you enjoy it when you get to that game
Reminds me of Hardspace which I've been playing a lot lately. Not much to the game, just floating around zero-g and breaking down/salvaging old starships. Kind of relaxing, but time consuming.
Nope, but Subnautica, Planet Crafter, and Astrometica all seem to follow a similar basic element of being stranded and collecting surrounding materials to craft survival elements. :)

Wonderful! Appreciate the Steam Deck report, thank you! 😊
@paulhumphreys-jl4ob Their update on Steam says the playtest ended on April 24.

Tomorrow, dear friend...tomorrow. 😂🥰

@@BuckeyeBunny It has plenty of dark humor, and base building is really only in the first half. But I liked it a lot when I played it.

@@Furiac. That excites me you love Astroneer so much, but the learning curve part...yikes! Hope I can figure it out. 🤓
@@BuckeyeBunny well it's just very unique, I'm sure you'll be fine.

Man, y'all are giving me so many MORE great survival crafting games to play! Thank you! 😊
Is this from the same studio that made Subnautica. Seems very similar.

It is super-similar to Subnautica from the graphics… but if it’s just as good, it’ll be a great game. :)
