Is there anyway to make a font match a 3d space, such as a star wars crawl effect, etc?

Hey there, I'm in the same boat. Like pretty much everything else I've tried, this video is unfortunately totally useless. The thing is though that I did actually manage to get this to work a couple of years ago and it wasn't by using the method in this video. I can't remember how I did it but if/when I (re)figure it out I'll get back to you about this. What I do remember is that it took a long time to make this shit work and that it's fucking obscenely difficult to make it work when it's such a simple thing (why's it a hundred times more difficult to use a font stored locally when we do the same thing with images stored locally? It's insane). Good luck in case you sort it in your own time!
