Oh my gosh. We are a fulltimers. Family of 9 and a wiener dog named Bruno. We camped in Tennessee a lot last year. We lost our house but found freedom. We started with a school bus then a trailer, and now an A class A. We are so blessed. Currently we are in Florida lol
Beautiful family living the dream! Careful with them in strollers, had an we visit with stitches in the chin.

I am from Central Mississippi, and I have ridden my motorcycle up to that campsite at least five or six times and camped. It is super nice and I’ve met some really nice people that I'm friends with camping at that camp spot. In fact I just got back from camping there Friday night 9/1/2023

I have literally kept this video in the back of my mind for 2 years, for the time when we finally get our own fifth wheel. We get to pick it up next week! We're not full timers, but maybe some day! We live in SW MO and are definitely country lovin' folks! I don't want to be lined up elbow to elbow with other people on vacation. We're going to check out this park!

I live in Nashville ,Tn and have been to Merriweather Lewis many times in all seasons .It is pretty all year with dogwoods and redbud trees in the Spring , and lush and green in Summer with wildflowers , but you cannot beat the Fall with the leaves and crisp air .Late Spring through early Fall gets really warm and humid in Tennessee . Fall Crreek Falls is another beautiful campground in Tennessee as well as Montgomery Belle State Park .

I took one look at the thumbnail and instantly recognized the Meriwether Lewis Campground. I've camped there many times. It's a beautiful place, it's free, and usually it's quiet. If you wander out of the campground about half a mile you'll see the monument marking the grave of Meriwether Lewis of Lewis and Clark fame, who died there under mysterious circumstances in 1809. For people just looking for RV info, there are actually three campgrounds operated by the National Park Service on the Natchez Trace: Meriwether Lewis at Milepost 386, Jeff Busby at Milepost 193 and Rocky Springs at Milepost 54. The last two are both further south in Mississippi. If you need to grab some food, Hohenwald "Hole-in-the-wall" Tennessee is about a ten minute drive to the west. Laurel Hill Lake is a nice state-owned fishing lake about fifteen minutes from the campground.

There are tons of boondocking in Tennessee especially the south east Cherokee National Park but not so many paved roads to these places. Great content guys glad you visited Tennessee but trust us Trace in great but it just cant hold a candle to South ETennessee. maybe not so much for a big rig but the views are equal to any place we have ever been. That banana bread starved me to death........... looked delicious dad gum it. Tennessee is our home state we've been overland all over from Alaska to Key Largo, and not many places are like Tennessee especially in the fall. "Arctic Overland", David & Melinda. we hope God continues to bless you all and your travels are safe and full of adventure and discovery.

Like you said, the problem for us was finding a spot for our 60’ to boondock at. Most places I seen was under 30’ to get into. We have a video of us at Cades Cove as it’s a favorite spot for us! Jenn Pinkerton Boondocking is when you camp without any hookups. So no electricity, water, or sewer. RVs have tanks to hold fresh water and batteries so you still have everything you normally would.

I am the same way...I don’t enjoy fall as much as I should because I know winter is coming and I dread winter and cold. I have always loved summer...but maybe if I knew I didn’t have to stay in the freezing cold I would enjoy fall more. Although fall evokes a lonely feeling in me. I am watching this in the spring but I experienced that lonely feeling just watching it.

Hello, RV newbies here, well sort of, we have lived in our trailer for a year now but are stationary as we work on projects to get it more travel worthy. We plan to hit the road in 2020. We will definitely be putting this campground on our list. It reminds me of our favorite spots here in Utah. Brand new to RUclips and still trying to get comfortable in front of the camera, let alone learning how to edit. Love watching your little family. We have a 4 yr. old. We are excited to start our new adventure and hope to see you out there someday. Safe travels !!

One good tip, don't over load the fridge. RV fridges are ammonia based, they don't circulate the air. If you leave the door open your food heats up. Get an RV fridge fan, that will help your food stay cold. Make sure your RV is level, if it's not, the fridge won't cool right. You can get industrial type fridge thermostats from amazon for a few dollars. Any change in temp will tell you if something is wrong. No one in an RV can afford food poisoning. The banana bread looks amazing. I also bought a grill top oven, it's small but it cooks great and saves on propane

Hi guys! This is my first time viewing your channel. We are looking forward to traveling more with our TT. We are also a family of 6 (though our four kids are much older 21 - 18 - 15 - 7). We had been tent camping for the last 25yrs up until we bought our first RV last Spring (2018). Being in our mid 40’s, its great to enjoy the comforts of RV life! We now feel spoiled!
Anyway, great to see another family enjoying their RV adventures with their kids. We hope to become full time RVers sometime down the road when the kids have mostly all left the nest. (Our oldest is now living in NYC going to college). We live about 1.5hrs away in Mid Hundson Valley/upstate NY.

One more thing I promise, never leave your trailer attached to the truck. It's a safety hazard, if someone steals your truck... also your rig is never level and it's really bad for the suspension. Also, you can join the KOA work camping program to get full hook up sites for free, most of the campgrounds require like 20 hours for all that.

I am brand new to your channel. I was wondering can you do a morning and a night time routine.? I am thinking about moving into an RV and would love to see how you make things work.

Hi Taylor!! Yes those are great ideas!! We have had several others want to see that. We thought it would be boring 😬 but we understand how important those times are to all of us to see.. so yes we will for sure do that in an upcoming video! Thanks for watching!

Have you been to Rhea Springs... it’s my current favorite boondocking spot. I have a video... free and on the lake!

Just wanted to say last night I had this bright idea to start like a "brotherhood" of RV RUclipsrs to share tips and tricks. Also to receive constructive criticism which I'm in need of I'm sure!. If you are interested check it out... My channel is still very small but gaining momentum all the time. Just had this random idea and it may even be kind of dumb... but thought it was worth a try! facebook.com/groups/1098080200390857/?ref=share

Most interstate rest stops have free dump stations.

Everyone that I have seen, has been at the beginning of the exit ramp returning to the interstate as you leave the rest stop.

Was this tight moving around the park. Sometimes around the bends it looks pretty tight. We have 33'4 ft travel trailer. Looking at staying one night in September.

Not to be a downer but America was and was supposed to stay a free country. The fact that it’s now difficult to find free areas is not a good sign for the state of health of American freedom. But, let’s enjoy what we have while we have it and perhaps with time we can persuade more people to return our lands to free public spaces as they were intended to be. God bless.

it's not camping when your crowded up against other people the whole idea of going out in the woods or camping is to get away from people if you can't shoot your gun without hitting somebody you're too close

    • @LoftisPartyofSix

John Spurlock there is obviously different kinds of camping styles. I myself love being way back in the woods. I’m a hunter so the deeper back in the woods I can go, the better. However it’s not always doable for us to camp that way especially when we live it our 5th wheel. So getting my 14k lbs 38’ long and 12’ tall rig in areas are difficult. For us this isn’t camping this is Living!
