aww thank you thank you! 😘
Your room is so cute! Love this :)
claire isabel thank you! 💕
thanks your video~~ it's very helpful for me. i will go there next year~~
I’m glad you found it helpful! Good luck 😊👍🏼
Hey! Your room looks lovely❤️ I am applying for my masters in QMUL next year, do we get accommodations in Jan intake too?
Hello, I have a question. When I was asked for preferences, I was given the option of Min 2 from max 2. Is it how it should be?
Thank you for the informative video! May I ask about the shared bathroom? Usually how many people share the bathroom? Just wondering if there could be any shortage when it's morning rush hours, like everyone needs to use the bathroom and go to school.
Wei M As far as I am aware, no one has a shared bathroom. Everyone has their own private bathroom. Perhaps in other student accommodations they may have shared bathroom but not at Aspire Point. I hope this helps! 😊
Thank you for your video, and I love your stylish room! Do you remember around when you applied for the accommodation?
Aww thanks so much! If I remember right I applied in March 😊
@@cindiandrobyn many thanks!
Hello would you say there's a lot of Indians and Pakistanis in qmul and in student accomodation, or is it more diverse and international, or more uk students?
Wow what a great accomodation
Thank you ☺️ it was very comfortable, couldn’t complain 👍🏼
Love 😍
Thanks toya! 💖
Hey, may I please know what kind of room this is (premium or standard) and what the difference between the two is? Also, can you please provide information regarding the number of people sharing the kitchenette.
Would really appreciate a response :)
Your room is super cute! 🥰 I was just wondering whether the area where Aspire point is located is safe or not? Is it quite dodgy or is it a safe environment to live in?
Thank you so much!!🥰 Honestly, it is an area where you need to be careful for the most part. I always felt comfortable walking around in the day, even by myself, but I wouldn’t recommend walking alone at night. It is always safer to have someone with you when out in the evening/night time although you can walk alone and be fine, you just have to make sure you’re keeping a close eye on your surroundings and your belongings. I had a friend who told me she went across the street from Aspire Point to quickly grab a coffee around 12pm and she felt like someone was following behind her closely on the way back to Aspire Point. This was during lunchtime when a lot of people were out and about but I have never had any negative encounters on the street outside or around Aspire Point. It is just a matter of you paying attention and being fully aware at all times. I will also mention that around Westfield Shopping Centre there are signs on businesses’ doors warning you to beware of pickpocketers in the area. So again, you just have to be careful and keep an eye on those around you and make sure your belongings are safely stored in your FRONT pockets or where no one can grab them off you. You should be fine as long as you are vigilant! I hope this helps!☺️
Hello! I will be studying at QMUL in September 2020. How did you find this accommodation? Is it in partnership with the university or did you have to look for it yourself?
Hi! I found this accommodation on Qmul website. Just search “living on campus” and they show you some of their accommodation options.
Loved the video! ♥️
I'm an incoming masters student at QMUL.
I had 2 questions, it would be great to get an insight from you since you live here.
1. Someone told me it's not particularly safe around, I've been quite worried about that. I'd like to get an insight from you.
2. Would a friend be allowed to stay over in the room occasionally ?
I just saw your reply regarding the safety aspect. So please ignore that point.
Thank you and I’m glad you enjoyed the video! 😊 Before COVID, normally you were allowed a guest to stay over 2 times a month I believe. If you have any further questions please feel free to message me on Instagram. I hope this helps! 👍🏼
Love it! I'll be starting Msc Marketing in September too.. yeah. I was offered a spot at Sherren House.... may I ask why you chose Aspire? :) Thanks!
How exciting congrats! 🥳 Sherren House seems to be great but we decided to choose Aspire Point because it just seemed to meet our needs better. It’s not too far from QM and Westfield is just a short walk away. We just feel like the lifestyle at Aspire Point would suit us better and have more to offer. Hope this helps! 😊
@@cindiandrobyn Thanks for the reply, helps a lot, I'll start at Sherren House for now. Hope it's nice too. Looking forward to living in London soon ☺️
Sounds like a plan. So excited for you, enjoy! 😁
@@theasidiropoulos862 Hey! can you tell me how would you rate Sherren House? Is it good?
I’m hopefully coming in September, if u don’t mind me asking, what halls is this ??
Congrats! 🥳 This accommodation is called Aspire Point located in Stratford 👍🏼
Hi thank you for the video, is it partial view room or full? Just wondering how the sizes would be
Thank you for watching! This room is on the 6th floor so it offers a partial view and this is an en-suite standard room 😊👍🏼
omg im reaching this wednesday! what floor is this? love the view!!
How exciting! This is the 6th floor facing the front of the building. Enjoy! 😊
How does one apply for univeristy accomodation in QMUL? because i accepted the offer and there is no follow-up from the campus
If you have already accepted the offer then I’m assuming you have already applied. You may want to contact QMUL directly via phone call to get your answer. Good luck! 😊
Future Interior designer! Cute!!! #futureinteriordesigner #interiordesign #student 👍🏻
Ooh stop it! ☺️☺️
I am applying this September 2021 i wanted to ask if u could let me know from the list provided by uni which type of room is this ? Economy or Single Large En-suite Premium or Single En-suite Premium or Single En-suite Standard ?
This room type is Single En-suite Standard. Good luck! 😊
Hey I was thinking of applying here as well, really random question haha does the window have curtains or anything :) thank you xx
Haha good question! But yeah, all bedroom windows have blinds☺️
Hi! Are undergrad and postgrads mixed or do they have accommodation that is just for postgrads/MA students? x
Hi 😊 Aspire Point is only for post grad students. I’m not sure how the other student accommodations work but they are probably not mixed.
How to find accomodation for shared accommodation?🥺
hi lovely room, ill be rolled on my master in sept 2021, when should i pay for accomodation, in what month before enrolling
Hi! Thank you and congrats on your offer! I received my confirmation email towards the end of July and during that time I also paid the deposit. I think I made my full accommodation payment in September when I arrived at Queen Mary. I found it easier and more straightforward to pay in person, so that’s what I did. Good luck with everything!🤗
hi, can you please tell me your exact room and in which building also, the prices. :)
This room type is a Single En-suite Standard located on the 6th floor and the building is Aspire Point. Different rooms have different prices so I will attach a link below to QMUL’s website stating the fees. I hope this helps! 😊
www.qmul.ac.uk/residences/college/fees/
Super duper ♥️
Thank you!💕
hi! im going to ask that what about costs of this room?)))))it is really cute n comfortable i love it
Thank you! You’ll have to check out the QMUL accommodation website as different rooms have different prices. I hope this helps! 😊
hi, I'm going QMUL what accommodation building is this?
Hey! This accommodation is called Aspire Point 😊
Supreme accommodation in student village, posh place
Hi.. Lovely room. Can you tell where have you kept your luggage suitcases ?
Thank you ☺️ I kept my luggages under my bed! Fit perfectly 👌🏽
@@cindiandrobyn Thanks a lot😘 My daughter will be going next month.
Best of luck to her on her new adventure!🥰
Hi, i’ve looked on QMUL and can’t find any links to look at universisy accommodation does anyone have the link? x
Hi there! Here is the link to a wide variety of different university accommodations offered by QMUL. Hope this helps! www.qmul.ac.uk/residences/college/qmaccommodation/mileendug/
Cindi&Robyn thank you ❤️
Heyy please make video on can we be MBBS in queen Mary University of London please please
Hi! Unfortunately, we are no longer at Queen Mary. We finished back in September. Sorry!
May I ask you about the type of this room? I am going to study at QMUL in Sep2020.
Ps. lovely room :)
This room is a En-suite Standard room and thank you! ☺️
this is not unis own accom this is private
Yes, but it is in partnership with Queen Mary☺️
I'm going to study at QMUL in September 2020 too! What course will you be pursuing?
@@amreetachowdhury00 hey did you get to aspire point? How is it
I've heard that there's a graveyard in the center of QMUL, is the student accommodation close to it?
You are correct! There is a graveyard in the centre of QMUL. There are some student accommodation buildings near the graveyard, but they are separated by a building so you can’t see the graveyard from the student accommodation. The other student accommodation buildings on campus are situated further away from the graveyard, so if you don’t want to be living near the graveyard just make sure you choose the accommodation furthest away from it
@@cindiandrobyn Ahh thank you so much for your insight! I'll keep this in mind when choosing my accomodation :))
Happy to help! Good luck!🤗
Wah ooo
Hi, I may go to lie in the Aspire point. Could you please tell me whether the house has good soundproof because I am easily attacked by the noise
Hi! Aspire Point is NOT soundproof, unfortunately. I could always hear my flatmate’s phone calls and even when she watched movies in her bedroom. I also had a flatmate that lived 2-3 doors down from me and I could hear her playing her piano. So if noise is an issue for you you’ll have to get noise cancelling headphones or maybe talk to the Housing Team and see if they can allocate you a room in a flat that isn’t fully occupied or something. Good luck! 👍🏼
@@cindiandrobyn Thanks a lot
what about the Sherren House? I wonder which one has good soundproof. In addition, could you hear the computer typing sound? I would appreciate if you can answer my question.
You’re welcome!
I’ve never seen or heard anything about Sherren House, sorry! At Aspire Point you definitely cannot hear anyone else’s keyboard typing. If your flatmates living in the room right next to you are quiet you should be fine living at Aspire Point, in my opinion. Oh yeah, another thing is that you can always hear the main flat door open and close whenever someone enters or leaves the flat and if one of your flatmates has their bedroom window open, when they open and close their bedroom door it WILL slam and the noise is very loud. I suggest that you ask for the room at the end of the hall, that way you will only have one flatmate living beside you and you would be far away from the kitchen. If your flatmates have friends over in the kitchen or are playing music in the kitchen you won’t hear it if you’re all the way down the hall or maybe you could get a studio flat, that way you don’t have any flatmates. I hope this helps!
Does your room fall under mixed accommodation?
Yep! My flat consisted of seven people total. Three guys and four girls including myself 😊
how do you apply for it? I know this may sound stupid but i'm totally lost
That’s ok, I’m happy to help! Search up ‘QMUL residences Aspire Point’ in Google. You will see the box with 3 lines at the top of the page, click it and you will see ‘Application’. It should give you all the information you need. Keep in mind, this accommodation is only for postgrad students. I hope this helps! 😊
hi my name is laryssa, i have a lot of doubts about the university, could you help me?
Hi Laryssa! My advice would just be to do a lot of research. Look up RUclips videos to get a feel of the campus and student life, research the different student accommodations available, check out the university website to see what they offer and most importantly take choosing your course of study seriously and make sure it is something you’re passionate about and excites you. Hope this helps! ❤️
Is this the dorm that qmul provides?
Yes 😊 this is one of QMUL’s student accommodations. However, it is available for postgraduate students only.
Hi, what is the name of your accommodation in QMUL?
Hello, the name of this student accommodation is Aspire Point 👍🏼
Hello,
Is there an accommodation with private kitchen?
Hello 😊 this accommodation offers a spacious shared kitchen between 7 people.
If you are looking for a private kitchen I suggest you check out other QMUL student accommodations to see what they offer.
I got an offer and i am looking for a place to stay. Aspire point seems so good but why am i seeing so many bad reviews on google😯
Congratulations! 🥳 I am not sure why you are seeing so many bad reviews on Google. My experience at Aspire Point was good, improvements can always be made but for the most part I have no major complaints! 👍🏼
@@cindiandrobyn great! Have been watching ur vlogs on uni life and it seems quite good. I have applied for aspire point
Aw yay, I’m happy you chose Aspire Point! I hope you get accepted and I hope you enjoy living there!💕
@@cindiandrobyn How was your experience in the shared kitchen? Did you have enough storage space in the cupboards and in the refrigerator ? How was your kitchen mates ? Did they steal your food ?
Is there space for dry clothes in the sun?
It depends how you utilize the space in your room. There is space for a small rack where you can dry your clothes next to your window but the space will be tight. There are multiple dryers in both the laundry rooms so you can definitely use those instead of drying your clothes in the sun in your room😊
@@cindiandrobyn Thank you.
Hi, what is the cost to study law in this university?
Hi 😊 QMUL should have all that information on their website. Good luck! 👍🏼
Hi, what are you guys studying?
We are both studying MSc Management 👍🏼
Which agency did you choose to find your room? I was looking on mystudenthall.com
I didn’t use an agency to find my room. I just searched QMUL student accommodation and found it that way 👍🏼
Cindi&Robyn sorry but may I ask you how much do you pay approximately ? I know that rooms are expensive in London, I would like to go to birkbeck or QMU🙏🏼
For my room which is a single en-suite economy (restricted view) it costs approximately £174.02 per week. Rooms in London can be expensive but just remember to budget responsibly and you should be fine! 😊
Cindi&Robyn how did you get the money did you work at uni aswell? X
Dear Cindi, I wonder that which type of your room and fee ? I mean on the site there are 4 different types. Single Large En-suite Premium - (uninterrupted view),Single En-suite Premium - (uninterrupted view), etc.
My room type was a En-suite standard with interrupted views and the fee I paid was £8,871. Hope this helps!
Cindi&Robyn you mean per year (12 months) or season (10 months) ?
Per year (12 months)
Cindi&Robyn ok dear friend, thank you very much
What was the price of your room?
The price was around £8,800 for the entire academic year!☺️
Is this on campus accommodation ?
Nope, this is about 20 minutes away from campus
How are the hostel rules??
It’s your basic student accommodation rules, keep your room, kitchen and communal areas clean, be respectful of others and keep noise to a minimum, and you are only allowed a certain amount of guests. That’s about it! 👍🏼
What is the rent per week
It depends on the room type but for this room I paid around £185 per week
How much you have to pay for this room
I can’t remember the exact amount I paid as this was now 2 years ago and also prices may have changed since then. Here is a link to QMUL’s website with rent prices and fees 👍🏼
www.qmul.ac.uk/residences/college/fees/
How much u pay for this room?
This room costs £8,871 per year 👍🏼
Did u choose your room by yourself?😍
You don’t choose your room yourself. You let them know your preferences like standard room or studio, lower floor or higher floor etc. after you’ve done this and based on your preferences they will allocate a room to you. I hope this helps! 😊👍🏼
Can you have guests?
Usually yes, guests are allowed. However due to COVID, guests are strictly not allowed ❌🙅🏽♀️
@@cindiandrobyn thank you!
