The fact that he remembers "this guy" tells us that he really did want to punch that guy in the mouth, but that he was pretty impressed when he finally got his act together.

This video was REALLY well-done. I like the style, music, editing.
As for the professors: I would LOVE to study at this university, or teach at this university. As an educator with over 20 years in my field, I can tell these people have a passion for teaching and a passion for life, and that's really inspiring to me.

It would have been better if they read some scathing reviews. Not so they get offended but so you can see how they take criticism. Will they blame the student? Will they take it under advisement? Will they hold a grudge? That sort of thing is why I like listening to podcasts instead of watching tv shows. The people on podcasts are a hell of a lot less fake. I also get my news from people who laugh at the mistakes in the news. Those secondary sources only survive on authenticity and citations or they lose their audience.

Many students at Appalachian say the university is very poorly run. It feels like most teachers don't take their job seriously, and relish in failing their students

Hi! An App grad here- the production value of this video is a testament to our truly wonderful communication department! Top notch stuff, for real. As for the rest of your comment- this school certainly has a mixed bag of professors and experiences (as with any institution of learning. However, in my personal experience, it is a non-competitive environment for students to really grow. And overwhelmingly, the majority of instructors I had are exactly as you described.

Eh....finishing out a major this year and, in my experience, the most boring classes were always the ones that took attendance. What's ironic is they usually only do so for the classes that are pre-reqs or general courses (i.e. easy to pass). Never had an upper elective teacher care if we attended because they knew if we didn't, our grade would go down from missing the material, not because we chose not to show up. Feel like attendance is just a way for professors teaching an easy course to get some of their students to have a lower grade than A.

The prof rated as "not hot" is actually very attractive with a beautiful smile, if she cut out the suger and french fries etc, grew out her hair and teased it out into something, stated wearing something other than homeless person clothes, that plus her high intelligence, her knowledge of literature, always a turn on for literate men, and learned how to use makeup, she would have perfect attendances. But we know she won't do any of that.
