It’s one of the many new features in Logic Pro for iPad 2. I like the update a lot. Apple is really stepping up their game with each update. Great 👍 video, Pete.
Thanks mate. Yes, all the new features are pretty amazing. ruclips.net/p/PLc8Xg_23Wa54FtJv-S0Wd0_5KmYz6jQuk&si=ufF_hdVSiXkQ95xu
@@PeteJohnsMusic No problem my friend. I’ve saved the playlist you provided.
Great tutorial and always clear, concise and just the info you need, and no nonsense. Thanks!
Cheers Ed.
Will really help level up your theory, brilliant addition. Also in mac.
Yup. I’m already starting to revise!!
Man that is powerful stuff. Might have to give Logic a try…Thanks for sharing!
It’s pretty fun to play with Chip!!
Will you be creating a udemy or other course in Logic Pro 11, your teaching is second to none.
Thanks! Yes, I need to work out what to do about courses. Would likely start with Logic Pro for iPad however. Will get over to Mac eventually.
Fantastic tutorial - you have such great and easy to understand videos. Thanks for the great content! I just picked up a new iPad Pro and plan on doing some deep dives.
Awesome! Welcome to the community. I hope you get value from the other videos on the channel and consider subscribing if you haven’t already. 👍
@@PeteJohnsMusic Definitely subscribed !
You do a very good job with your tutorials. Humble, friendly and informative in all details. We can call you professional and productive. Thanks PJ 💯🙏🏼✌🏼
Haha! Love it. Thanks so much my friend. Really appreciate the kind words.
Another great Logic Pro 2 vid Pete! Not sure if you’ve mentioned adding chords or a session player to an existing Logic Pro project. I’m testing how well Bass Player works when added to a project with mostly audio tracks. I didn’t know the orignal Key to my melodies so I used Scaler EQ figure it out and entered the Key into the Logic Project. The Bass Player adjusted accordingly, but I don’t know how accurate Scaler EQ is. Tricks and tips would be appreciated! Thanks! 😅😊
Ooh! Yeah I was hoping there would be some sort of “chord detection” for audio files. I did try manually doing it in my big live stream if you have a spare 4 hours. 😀
It did work out pretty well. I think it was in the 4th hour?

You’re very welcome my friend. I hope you get value from the other videos here on the channel and consider subscribing. 👍
@@PeteJohnsMusic Really thanks!!! Subscribed right now. Love the Ipad version of Logic Pro. I think there's a lot of potential. So it's a pleasure to have a youtube channel with a lot of videos teaching Logic Pro for Ipad. Congrats and really thanks!!!!
Thanks so much for the helpful video, Pete. There is a lesson about chords included with Logic Pro IPad, but your presentation was easier to follow and provided a lot more detail!
Thanks my friend. And great to hear! I like to think I “take one for the team” and simplify Apple’s instructions.
Hi pete any chance you can do a tutorial on how to use audio tracks to sync with base player so it’s all in time cheers
I’m working on what options this gives us with an audio track now. Watch this space! studiolivetoday.com
Excellent presentation.
With the chord track, I’m now sold on Logic. Awesome update.
Yup
Yeah it’s a bit of a game changer.
@@PeteJohnsMusicJust can’t see myself using GarageBand anymore, this is just too good. Thanks again for the great video, Pete
Thanks Pete. Excellent walkthrough of one of my favourite new features. This update is incredible. ❤
Amazing stuff isn't it Mick?
Great video... Sounds like a quick way to record, especially to go into a key change👍🤗
Question I just thought of: In Logic Pro 2, can you change the key & tempo on a pre-recorded track you bring in, along with your other tracks (which bugs me that we can't do on G.Band🥺)
Hey there. Yes I believe you can change the pitch of audio regions. You don’t get the best quality result as it has to re-sample the audio.
Great update and as usual, great presentation, Pete! ✌️❤️
Bubba! Always a pleasure sir. Hope you’re well.
Very exciting. I’ve updated Logic on my MacBook. Looking forward to using it. Thanks Pete
Yup. It’s pretty similar across Mac and iOS thankfully.
Thanks, Pete. You've covered details missed out in other how-tos. However, you told us how to move chords, but I'm wondering how to copy and paste them. Is there a right-click/tap menu?
Howdy Garry. Yes, when you two to go in to edit, you can copy and then paste at your play head location. I showed this in other videos but for some reason not this one!
Ahhhhhh yeahhhhhhh!
👍😎
Thanks Pete, for another great video. This is a little bit off topic, but I was wondering, have you tried using the session pianist with other instruments? I tried creating a session piano track and replacing the keys with instruments like horns and strings and it worked pretty well for me. Just wondering if you have had any similar experience?
Cool idea! I didn’t think of this
Hey there. Yes, I have started experimenting and as long as you don’t make it super complex it can sound great. Organ works really well. And the pads work for pretty much anything!
💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
👍😎
Hopefully they keep cranking out play styles every month- to keep that subscription relevant.
Ooh! That would be cool? Play style packs? I vote country. 😎👍
Yikes. Check out Band in a Box, they got you covered.
Once you have your session musician track finished, is there a way to move an individual note in that track? I have a song that goes from Am down to E. The session musician goes from Am up to a higher E. How do I get it to down to E, rather than up?
So, not specifically, but you can use the “hands” feature to move the overall playing area down? logicipad.com/
Great video, thanks. Question: Could you make something with this and then open it in an old version of Logic X, a version that doesn’t have Chord Track? Would Logic use the midi files from the iPad to play it in Logic?
Hey there. I wouldn’t think so? In my experience you get a “this project was created in a newer version” error message.
@@PeteJohnsMusic I’d have thought I could create the midi file with this and then export it to an older version of Logic on a Mac?
Hi Pete, I think my iPad air 2019 is struggling with the new features in logic pro, I keep getting a message saying ' low CPU power, and not enough memory too' is there anything I can do to stop this? Or do I need to bite the bullet and invest in a new iPad? Thanks
Hey there. Yeah, unfortunately the “older” iPads are starting to finally struggle with the latest updates. My 2020 iPad Pro - same deal. Might be worth considering an upgrade.
The Sus in a chord means Suspended, not sustain.
Truth.
What about inversions?
The Session Players can do this but not in the actual chord settings. Http://logicipad.com/.
