It's a reminder to enjoy the subtleties of life. Really. Enjoy it while you can. 4. If you still think this video has little to no point... Then my question to you is... What the hell does? If not a break from all the bullsh*t drama, what is it? If not promoting healthier eating, as opposed to deep frying butter, what is it? If not to serve as something novel, though oddly being strangely humourous, may I ask once again... Just what the hell else is it...?
Thanks for this. Believe it or not, I never really liked oranges my whole life. And I enjoy all foods and am not picky. I like orange flavors, etc. I never really liked the experience and I think it’s because I’ve never had a properly prepared orange. Anyway, my grandparents got me a gift basket for xmas this year and I was curious. I tried to do it intuitively and decided to look up how to eat one. And I can say that now after 23 years, I truly do enjoy oranges!
I see some viewer's complaining.. but I like this video and here's why.... if you've put THIS MUCH thought and analysis into how you eat an orange... then I know you've put a ton of thought and analysis into the financial advice you give... your cred has just gone up in my opinion
Thanks Mate. I'm a obese fuck who essentially lived the last 20 years on fried food straight from the freezer. I'm trying to change my eating habits and bought some oranges among other things. Except I didn't even know how to actually eat them so this video really helped.
This video changed my life. I never knew how to eat an orange the proper way until my savior BeatTheBush enlightened me with this glorious tutorial that encapsulates the perfect feeling of an orange busting in one’s mouth. I have been eating oranges since I was a young boy, but never with as much satisfaction and pleasure as I now know is possible. I was depressed, confused, and uncertain when it came to eating oranges and life as a whole, but now I finally see the light. After many days wasted eating oranges without achieving maximum satisfaction, I can rest assured that every orange I eat for the rest of my life will be of the utmost fulfillment. No longer will I spend too long peeling the white rind between the skin and the flesh. No longer will I bite into an orange without taking into account the maximum burst potential of the granular parts. No longer will I bite the orange incorrectly such that the juicy inside squirts all over the place and leaves a sticky stain. No longer will I spend the vital time I dedicate every day to eating an orange only to leave the experience feeling messy and dissatisfied. From now on, that time will become the best of my day, the moment I look forward to during the dark hours and hardships. I know that this technique of eating oranges will improve my outlook on the little things in life. Something as beautiful and simple as an orange can brighten the entire day. Thank you Mr. BeatTheBush, from the bottom of my juicy, bursting heart.
You should make more what I eat in a day. Or regular vlog videos. Also you could make videos on activities to do that don’t break the bank. Idk just throwing out some ideas. Your awesome man!!
I actually watched this for a serious question. Lately, I’m finding hard stringy pieces in oranges that make the orange inedible. This isn’t the outside rind that he talks about, but more like in the centre. I’ve found no easy way to remove this. I don’t know if this is a new problem with oranges, or I’m doing something wrong.
I'm Jack's Nipples ever since those developing countries are getting richer, they need more demand of good quality food. Those oranges are exported to those countries for good profit, simple is that.
Fair enough. But, if nothing else, this video did encourage me to buy some oranges today, if at least for fiber. Perhaps... I shall try this "method" for fun.
I literally was having a hard time eating it because of the whole mess and the squirts, I didn’t know how I was supposed to eat it and making a mess just to learn by myself wasn’t too tempting so I googled it and it actually helped me. I am pretty shocked myself.
I've learned a lot from your frugality. Have you thought about making a video of how often you do laundry? Clean your home? Cleaning products? I like using a vinegar and water solution as it's cheap. For cleaning of course. :)
I'll give you a tip. Use a knife to cut past the rind into 4s and not into the flesh. If you want to go full chemical engineer on your buddies use pectic enzyme to dissolve away the inner section skin of the fruit leaving you with just the juicy morsels.
And to think.. a few months ago Whole Foods were selling already peeled Oranges in plastic containers. Im really glad i have this video as a reference 🍊🍊
This video is not worthless, the fact people like me searched how to eat an orange and people like you made a video about it proves that like look at the views 53 thousand people watched this! personally, for me, I know people who don't know what cherries and strawberries are so this isn't surprising. Like I have been eating oranges wrong my entire life I do everything you did expect when I eat an orange, I drink the juice and spit out the rest like white rind and seeds, and your video made me realize how incorrect I was so thank you.
Store bought orange juice has usually been pasteurised and most of the nutritional value has been destroyed in the pasteurizing process , so essentially all you are consuming is orange flavoured sugar water . Fresh whole oranges give you the full nutritional benefits , if you don't like the fibre then use a lemon squeezer to make juice . 🤗
In pakistan we have different varieties of oranges, the ones ones with the thicker peels are juiced while the ones with the thinner peels like the "Kinnow" variety are eaten like this. :)
Mandarin is much easier. But I eat my Valencia orange exactly like you. Sometimes I sprinkle black or pink salt especially in summers to get that electrolytes.

The white part of the orange 🍊 (called the pith) is the most nutritious part containing flavonoids, pectin and as much Vitamin C and the fruit itself...Also, removing the pith reduces the fiber content of an orange by almost 30%... So, leave as much of it on for the most benefits!
This is an important video ! Its about the importance of being aware of what is around us -- enjoying our immediate environment and available pleasures. Its the Zen of Orange Eating ... (rather than just grabbing a credit card to go crazy trying to find pleasure at the closest mall)

That's alright! Now I know how to eat an orange. All I have to do now is figure out how to apply this wonderful new knowledge!
I used to drink orange juice. that was about 4 - 5 years ago. When doctors officially told me I was diabetic. I quit fruit juices same time i quit sodas.
Better way to explain why you have to eat the orange instead of drink it the very structure of the fruit that holds the juice is just as vital as the juice itself the fiber that holds the juice in the orange itself is just as important for you to eat as the orange Which makes me beg the question how many oranges a day do you have to eat to get the benefits that it provides?
Re orange juice comment: I got so confused with all the contradicting supplement info out there. Example.. One says Vitamin C is ineffective unless you also take Vitamin (X) in proportion. Well... it turns out that if you eat a whole orange, tomato, etc, the extra "structure" you get when you eat the whole thing gives you that needed supplement for free.
I agree. All those vitamins tries to extract a single compound when eating it with the original source is the best way. Except iron though. You need to eat more vitamin c to absorb the iron more.
What i do with big and small oranges i bite the tip of one end and suck the juice out from there and when I get most of it out leaving some in i eat it
I think this orange peeling method is just barely scratching the surface of what's going to be possible once AI is unleashed on this simple, yet infinitely complex task
Very funny. I eat an orange this way--seems like an eventual development from a lifetime of eating oranges. Yes, the values are in the mindfulness of eating and in your method of breaking down a process along with explanations. A lot to be learned here.
How many times do you chew an orange? I am unable to swallow oranges and I think it's cause I chew out all the juices since in the video you seem to chew like 4 times and swallow
The peeling game needs working Francis. The trick is to peel the centre (two fingers worth), so the orange skins open up like a book. Saving time with cleaning up too, plus if you do it just right (without going through the centre end to end, but leave some) the whole orange skin at the end is quite amusing.
