    I just watched a 8 min video about how a grown man prefers to eat his oranges. I'm contemplating my life right now.

    • @BeatTheBush
      @BeatTheBush  6 лет назад +58

      A young man will not fuss with the details of such inconsequential things. It is not the activity that is important really but a demonstration of fine tuning details of everyday life. It's sort of like a meditation.

    THIS VIDEO HAS CHANGED MY LIFE........... THANKS A lot

  • @Staznark
    @Staznark 6 лет назад +8

    I argue that this video is _not_ insignificant for multiple reasons.
    1. It feels like encouragement and a reminder to buy some oranges, at least to me, and should be to you. That's exactly what I'm going to do.
    2. It's a reminder that the fruit itself contains fiber, as opposed to the fruit juice which is labelled as "5 a day", probably by some sub-par standard.
    3. It's a reminder to enjoy the subtleties of life. Really. Enjoy it while you can.
    4. If you still think this video has little to no point... Then my question to you is... What the hell does? If not a break from all the bullsh*t drama, what is it? If not promoting healthier eating, as opposed to deep frying butter, what is it? If not to serve as something novel, though oddly being strangely humourous, may I ask once again... Just what the hell else is it...?

  • @PatriaFranco

    Thanks for this. Believe it or not, I never really liked oranges my whole life. And I enjoy all foods and am not picky. I like orange flavors, etc. I never really liked the experience and I think it’s because I’ve never had a properly prepared orange. Anyway, my grandparents got me a gift basket for xmas this year and I was curious. I tried to do it intuitively and decided to look up how to eat one. And I can say that now after 23 years, I truly do enjoy oranges!

    This video changed my life. I never knew how to eat an orange the proper way until my savior BeatTheBush enlightened me with this glorious tutorial that encapsulates the perfect feeling of an orange busting in one’s mouth. I have been eating oranges since I was a young boy, but never with as much satisfaction and pleasure as I now know is possible. I was depressed, confused, and uncertain when it came to eating oranges and life as a whole, but now I finally see the light. After many days wasted eating oranges without achieving maximum satisfaction, I can rest assured that every orange I eat for the rest of my life will be of the utmost fulfillment. No longer will I spend too long peeling the white rind between the skin and the flesh. No longer will I bite into an orange without taking into account the maximum burst potential of the granular parts. No longer will I bite the orange incorrectly such that the juicy inside squirts all over the place and leaves a sticky stain. No longer will I spend the vital time I dedicate every day to eating an orange only to leave the experience feeling messy and dissatisfied. From now on, that time will become the best of my day, the moment I look forward to during the dark hours and hardships. I know that this technique of eating oranges will improve my outlook on the little things in life. Something as beautiful and simple as an orange can brighten the entire day. Thank you Mr. BeatTheBush, from the bottom of my juicy, bursting heart.

    I actually watched this for a serious question. Lately, I’m finding hard stringy pieces in oranges that make the orange inedible. This isn’t the outside rind that he talks about, but more like in the centre. I’ve found no easy way to remove this. I don’t know if this is a new problem with oranges, or I’m doing something wrong.

    Store bought orange juice has usually been pasteurised and most of the nutritional value has been destroyed in the pasteurizing process , so essentially all you are consuming is orange flavoured sugar water .
    Fresh whole oranges give you the full nutritional benefits , if you don't like the fibre then use a lemon squeezer to make juice . 🤗

    Better way to explain why you have to eat the orange instead of drink it the very structure of the fruit that holds the juice is just as vital as the juice itself the fiber that holds the juice in the orange itself is just as important for you to eat as the orange
    Which makes me beg the question how many oranges a day do you have to eat to get the benefits that it provides?

    Re orange juice comment: I got so confused with all the contradicting supplement info out there. Example.. One says Vitamin C is ineffective unless you also take Vitamin (X) in proportion. Well... it turns out that if you eat a whole orange, tomato, etc, the extra "structure" you get when you eat the whole thing gives you that needed supplement for free.

    I think this orange peeling method is just barely scratching the surface of what's going to be possible once AI is unleashed on this simple, yet infinitely complex task

    Very funny. I eat an orange this way--seems like an eventual development from a lifetime of eating oranges. Yes, the values are in the mindfulness of eating and in your method of breaking down a process along with explanations. A lot to be learned here.

      I make this to advocate eating oranges as I remember a time when I hated the hassle of eating them. Now it is a joy.

    For me, the most satisfying way to eat an orange, is to peel it, and then I bite right into it like an apple lol

    How many times do you chew an orange? I am unable to swallow oranges and I think it's cause I chew out all the juices since in the video you seem to chew like 4 times and swallow

    • @BeatTheBush

    Those are super easy to peel oranges. The ones I buy are hardcore. I just cut in half and eat it like a beast.

      Wow, you call this easy already. This is on the harder side for me. The easy one will have skin that just tear off with no contest.

    The peeling game needs working Francis. The trick is to peel the centre (two fingers worth), so the orange skins open up like a book. Saving time with cleaning up too, plus if you do it just right (without going through the centre end to end, but leave some) the whole orange skin at the end is quite amusing.
