SIMCIC's WALTZ Joey Tomsick, 2009 Best Musician of the Year (Chromatic) Hank Guzel, Jr., Sideman of the Year (Button Box) Don Pecik, composer of Simcic's Waltz (Button Box) August 29, 2009
I remember my Mom & Dad taking me to the Kirtland SMPJ pavillion for a afternoon of polkas and waltzes. They were members of the 'Friendly Club,' a group of Slovenians. I remember the ladies who served the Sloppy Joes, Poticas and 5 Cent soft drinks. Listening to the old folks sings songs from the 'Old Country' will never leave my mind. Thanks, Mon & Dad.
yes indeed. I m very happy anytime i see that accoridion. Wondering where did he got it. Maybe it is one of those Slak-Zupans which Valentin Zupan made for sale in the States. Those that Slak played are different.
I was wondering what brand those boxes were .. didn't see the ZUPAN lettering on any, and I know none were Slak boxes. I had an old (1937) 2 row Slak box ages ago, and can kick myself to this day for selling it (it was out of tune, and a 2 row box is pretty limiting).
I play that one a lot... it's great
many times I listen to your music thank you very much and I dance along
this one gave me chills, just.simply awesome,,,,,beautifully done boys,,,!!
Dobra igra ... Good playing ... love button box music! (used to play both piano & button box years ago).
