Thanks for the replies. I know that all those people voluntairily worked that much but I think the company shouldn't allow such work hours. If you are working with dangerous equipment and everybody on the site is drowsy, something bad will eventually happen. Also I don't think those people would even want to work that much if they had better job security and if minimum wage was high enough to make a decent living.
MerelyAMeerkat but if minimum wage increased it would actually hurt people it's very hard to explain by text look up "why a higher minimum wage is bad"
I know how it feels. I had to watch my uncle's eyes dialate from a heart attack while waiting for the ambulance. 20 minutes later he was pronounced dead. it really changed me and I still see his pupils going black to this day
It's illegal for workers to not have a certain amount of hours off before the next days work. Very dangerous and highly illegal to have people using heavy machinery to not be getting sleep.
Seeing a person die is rough, I've seen it several times from my time in the Army. I saw a guy get vaporized in a Steel Mill too, it''s pretty crazy, but after seeing it so long, you get used to it. That is the most fucked up thing.
Whenever I see something traumatizing or unforgettable, my mind goes fuzzy. I space out, and I think about everything that has ever happened relating to that person or thing. Anyone else?
I feel like it's insanely abnormal that when my mind goes fuzzy and I space out, I want to investigate. I want to find out what happened, how it happened, and why it happened. Obviously I don't, but I have a strong feeling and determination to understand what happened
I do that and was told it's 'disassociating'. Basically your brain needs to understand what happened but it's so traumatic that it reacts sort of like passing out from pain, where you disconnect from reality to make it more bearable. Feeling like you aren't 'real' or in your body, not being able to hear/understand people, fixating on what happened, etc. Sometimes it'd happen and an hour would just fly past without me even realizing, it's weird as hell
Hey Joe! I'm 14 year old fan from Bosnia and Herzegovina. After subscribing to your channel when you had 1400 subs... I look at my life in a different way! Just want to say, THANKS for making my life a lot better! Keep it up! #ROADTO200K
I'm sorry to hear about your experience. Having served in Iraq I have had to many experiences like that. Best thing to do is not try to wonder how or why it happened but just try to move past it. DONT DWELL ON IT! I know its easier said than done. I'm a christian so I beleive that everything is predetermined. If that hadn't happened it would have been something else. When it's your time, it's your time, nothing you can do but be prepared. I hope his family can take condolence in some form of belief in after life, regardless of what reigion. Either way sorry that you had to witness an event like that, it's a strong reminder that our time here is limited and as you say "make the best of it" God bless
I'm always a little conflicted about hitting the like button on videos like this. I like the positive message Joe is giving but it's such a messed up story.
Ganja Mama : yeah it is. My cousin almost went out like that, on a smaller scale. He got his leg ran over by a bobcat. It almost backed over his whole body but other workers saw it happening and they stopped the operator before he ran him completely over.
I also saw a coworker killed on the job. it's definitely an eye opener. some things you just can't scratch out of your memory, no matter how much you want them out. I feel your pain brother
We all go through things in life that will either build us up or fuck us up. The object is to make everything you experience in life some sort of positive lesson that you learn and grow from. No matter what.
AfterPrisonShow It's cool dude...if it weren't for u...There'd be a lot of people going down the wrong route...so keep doing what you're doing man...once again...you rock..
You are a fantastic example that not everyone in prison is a bad person. Some people break the law, make mistakes, not everyone is malicious. You, my friend, are a good person, and I feel for you. I've experienced the loss of a friend at a young age, and your last words in this video really hit me.
My prayers go out to you. There is a strong man in you that has done the community great favors with these entertaining videos. These videos happened to catch me during a depression. I lost my home, my job, my friends, and I have problems at my family's home. You've really motivated me, Joe. You too may have gone through this, but to a greater extreme. You've inspired me to keep my head up high and make the most out of every day. You have no idea the influence you've had on me today. Thank you so much, Joe. God bless you.
There was a girl I went to high school with that had this happen to her. She was walking down some train tracks and listening to music and she was ran over by a train because she couldn't hear it coming. (She was living in Maryland at the time) Life is precious you never know what's gonna happen
It's an evolutionary advantage to remember the bad stuff, to have an impact on us, so we don't repeat the mistake, their mistake. Condolences to his family.
i can only imagine how you felt. way before i was born my dad saw a plane crash not to far from where he was and went to see if he could help anybody but everybody was already dead but my dad said the pilots neck was snapped and his head was under his armpit. he said the way his neck was broken and stretched that it didnt even look real. but of course it was. Take care, peace, love, and best of luck to you.
yea when he first started the story i was ok this is just some shit hes trying to scare me with but he went into full detail about the story and thats when i figured out im probably never going on a plane ride cause if something fucks up what is there to do except plummet to earth at a few hundred mph.
it's those dam ear buds I know of a high school kid that would walk the train tracks home and one day the train hit him from behind because his ear buds were to loud
Swag Created oh man the ignorance I never said I knew him I said I know of a kid and you don't even know where I live and I herd about it from the neighbors of the kid dumb fuck
ive been waiting so long for this story ! i used to work around concrete workers in new housing development. i worked with a weeping tile company and we would pour gravel around the foundation of the new homes and we had to walk along the formations of concrete with 2-3 hundred pound wheelbarrows of gravel which is definitely a disaster waiting to happen!
kenzie pottie its a very dangerous line of work. and honestly a lot of jobs are mor dangerous than people realise. i was told that just the week before, a man wearing ear buds was ran over and killed in another state by a cement mixer truck. people have to be careful. because anything can happen at any time.
Man I just stumbled along this guy today, watched at 3 videos 1 how tattooing help me in prison. 2 how prison changed my life and 3 this one and now I look at life a little different now because of these videos because of what he says like make the most of every moment. This guy "prisonaftershow" has been through a lot but still has that view on life that you need to make the most of every moment and he's thankful for what he's got and so should everyone.
hey man, sorry to hear that. Hope you can get over it (if you can i dunno) and that you can get a better job with better hours to enjoy life on youtube more
Joe you're so motivational and I'm so glad you were able to correct your wrongs in prison. You're such a nice guy and I'm so glad to find your channel. You've inspired me to put in the work now during my exam year so I have the best possible future, I can't thank you enough for that :)
Joe I'm so happy you are talking about this experience. It obviously impacted you significantly. It's so important for people to speak about things that hurt them.
I just spend 2 days in JAIL not even prison. Just got out today and started watching your videos. I told myself and other that I'm done with drugs and that I'm not gonna fuck up again. You really convinced me with your stories and I am done with any sort of drug that is illegal. I hope I can stay on this mindset and not fuck up a few months later.
So needed this, I work in long term care, just had a resident die in front of me a few days ago. 15 yrs and it never gets any easier, worse when its a trauma death. It can be hard to process know and can trigger addiction response if you're not careful. Don;t let this stop you though you're doing good work:)
I still wake up running trying to get to my friend who was killed at work. He left behind 2 kids one on the way and a wife. I'm not the same, I saw the incident. The company tried to blame him. Osha found the company at total fault. It still gets to me. I don't know what to say it how to help, but inlybthat your not alone
seeing a fellow employee/friend die at work is something you never get over. i have seen some horrific injuries/1 death at my work. Its insane how much a human body can take yet how fragile it is, physically and emotionally. i hope they brought in counseling for you guys because it honestly does help, but its something you will never get out of your head.. sorry man
At the end of the video, what you said really spoke to me. I've really been struggling to be happy recently and what you said reminds me how short life is and that I should live every day like its my last. There's no reason to be sad and I should start being happy more. Life is short so there's no reason to waste all this precious time being sad. Thanks for telling all of us this story, I learned a lot from it :)
Hi joe. I'm sorry for what you experienced. My father died in a work related accident as well because of the company's failure to protect its workers. He burned alive as a result. It's still hard to recover. My thoughts and prayers are with u.
thiccmemes Right!! The guy that used to run from cops and the guy just waiting to shoot the guy running and/or lock him up somehow gaining popularity at the exact same time is weird. They could do a collaboration but I bet after damn near 10 years inside, the last person he'd wanna sit down with is yet another cop. He'd probably have a panic attack half way thru the video! Even with only a few short stays in county jail almost 10 years back, I still go into fight or flight mode anytime I see cops, even when I know I've done nothing wrong I still just get really shaky like I'm about to get beat by them or whatever.
The effect that you will have on the lives of future convicts and such, seeing that your channel continues to get as big as I believe it will, then you will put a lot of change into affect for the lives and futures of others in your same position. You also inspire those who feel like things are hard for them. Probably the greatest job the RUclips algorithm has ever done for me. Keep it up man, I'm rooting for you!
I was advanced first aid and a first responder in a steel plant and saw some horrible stuff including two fatalities. One run over by a 17 ton forklift and another man get his head caught between two rolling 40' pieces of pipe that weigh as much as a car. I had night terrors (PTSD) for years waking up screaming in a puddle of sweat, until I started smoking Medical marijuana. I've never had on since. I feel your pain Joe.
Joe thanks for sharing. Your lost associate went quickly in that moment but the observer plays it over detail by detail making the anguish immense. Bless the lost sole, Family, Friends and those who know the heartache.
I respect your ability to share your experiences, so we dont have to go through them, and if all else, take something away at the end of the day to make us a better person. I also respect how you were able to turn youre life around from ex-prisoner to a successful youtuber, and hard working adult. I respect you.
you just hit 100k an now your damn near at 200k Damn bro real recognize real wish you the best keep doing your thing #2up2down With that said this is a terrible story condolences to him and his family but Jesus 2 hours of sleep doing a high risk job. That company was asking for something like this to happen
I hope that making this video was cathartic for you, Joe. I went through some terrible things about 2 years ago involving a fire where I lived. Talking it out makes it seem not so surreal. Life is so precious, like you say. You never know when things are going to be flipped upside down.
This story really made me realize to put the shit that happened to me in 2016, which was a horrible, horrible year, behind me. Even though the memories are still horrific and I will never forget the feeling, it isn't right to dwell upon it. Thanks for sharing Joe, love ya foeved
so hyped for another video😀!! keep up what're you're doing and fuck the haters! EDIT: for everyone saying I don't see any haters, I just said that because a video or two ago I saw a few people accusing him of faking stories.
While I was going to Mexico to visit my family it was my dad and I and we were in Aguascalientes, Mexico. so it was a red kia and us we were in the right side behind the red car at least a car away and there was a little spot in the middle where you can do a turn to go into a gas station or do a U turn and There was an old car waiting to do the turn and I guess he was drunk or though he could make it but he accelerated and the red Kia crashed into the other car trying to do a U turn or going into the gas station and since it was an old car it didn't had seat belts so the woman came out flying out the car and she's lucky to be alive as that's what I think since we left... So Remember use your seat belt This also happened in April kinda weird (Sorry if it was long to read)
Damn that crazy bro. And that reminded me of a story from when I was almost killed and something eerily coincidental that happened on that same day too.
Hey Joe! It's Andrew.Frandsen from the livestream! Just letting you know I've been enjoying your content everyday for the past 4 months! You're a real OG.
AfterPrisonShow it was kind of a close call to my dad and I too but we were lucky we weren't going fast I believe we were going 30 mph or 25 I forgot... It was a lesson I learned to always wear the seatbelt
CR7NEYMAR he honestly did! I understood it perfectly. The guy got hit and got caught up under the vehicle and the front wheel ran over his feet up his body to his head!
He probably dosent want to decribe it in full detail for a reason. Its a pretty disturbing thing to witness you will find that out one day and understand if it ever happens to you.
If someone was to ask me to explain how my mothers death looked like, I'd break down before I could even finish explaining and that happened 3 years ago. I couldn't imagine asking someone to explain something as gruesome as this only a year after it happened.
Im extremely sorry Joe that you went through such a horrific tragedy. Thank you for sharing this personal story abd your feelings. I know it must be hard to deal with. God bless the family of this man and you. With much love and respect for you from N.Y.
Although this was extremely difficult for you to share with us I am grateful that you did. I hope that even one person is more alert on their job. Thank You.
Thanks for your story man, you drive a strong point. Life is precious, best we make the most and appreciate it while we can. Really enjoy your channel, keep up the good work.
So sorry to hear that you had to endure such a terrible thing to behold. Life is a very precious little thing, that could be gone in the blink of an eye. That's why I thank the All Mighty that He has granted me another breath.
Hannah Priest No not quite, think of looking at your car tire, when you look at it dead on it is a circle who's diameter is, for example, 20 inches. This is the measurement he is referring to as 5 feet. Now think about looking directly at the tread, it is a rectangle whose's width is is around 8 inches, (and height is 20 inches, same as diameter) this is the measurement he is referring to as 3 feet.
Thank you for sharing this story. You're right, life is very precious. That poor man I truly feel for him and his family. I'm sorry that you and your co-workers had to experience that. It's a real case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. So sad.
love what you are doing APS I can relate to it for obvious reasons. I had a similar accident happen at a job site I was on where a kid was backed over by a dump truck, you will never get over that feeling good luck with the show
SAV4GE tbh i really dont know either.. cause im slow too. LOL but the way i see it is that the machine was behind him or infront of him and ran him over and the wheel barrel. therefore the wheel barrel got crushed.
Damn joe, that has to be scarring. I hope soon youtube can be your true job and you dont have to face this danger on a daily basis. Your a humble happy guy. You dont deserve this grueling work on the daily bro. Love you man. You changed my outlook on life. From thinking doing stupid shit is fun. Too damn, joe is telling us how bad consequences can be. Your amzing man.
syrus walkins yeah but I don't know if he wants any images on it or if he could even give me some assets to work with/colors or themes. Because if I make something, the chances of him liking it are quite slim, I'm sure that he'd appreciate it but that's different.
My deepest condolences Joe. This strikes everyone in the heart. Iv been watching your show a lot these days because I can identify.....my deepest condolences to the family & people need rest in such situations. This is not military & well...he’s in a better place. Stay strong Joe. (This literally made me cry)
Im sorry you had to witness something so horrible! I wouldnt know what tondo if i seen something like that! Your a strong guy! I love what you say at the end of each video!
Definitely one of the best videos you have made to show exactly just how precious life is and how lucky we are to be living it every day. Also, loving the daily vids Joe! I come on here every day to see what new stuff you have in store for us. Much love for ya man, hope life is treating ya well
WOW! That was some DEEP sht! Nothing like affects of Sudden Death! Will shake almost anyone to their CORE + I know after 15 years ill NEVER be the same person! Thx for sharing that story n the struggle you'll probably deal with the rest of ur life!
I'm surprised that Joe's not more angry with the company. One would think that the lack of sleep is a key factor in that accident.
he purposely worked that many hours cuz he needed money
BRING RUST BACK it's hard getting a job after jail, probably the best he could do at the time
You get paid hourly, and that makes people want to work close to 24/7. A lot of the time the boss will not force you to work that long
Thanks for the replies. I know that all those people voluntairily worked that much but I think the company shouldn't allow such work hours. If you are working with dangerous equipment and everybody on the site is drowsy, something bad will eventually happen.

I know how it feels. I had to watch my uncle's eyes dialate from a heart attack while waiting for the ambulance. 20 minutes later he was pronounced dead. it really changed me and I still see his pupils going black to this day
Desmond Murphy im very sorry to hear that you had to witness that. condolences for your uncle. may he rest in peace.
AfterPrisonShow did you serve the full 7 years???
metrorhys10 no I think he said he only had to serve 85% or something not sure
metrorhys10 no he escaped and he's on the run, so he decided to start a RUclips channel so the cops can find him.
metrorhys10 i served 6 years 10 months out of 7 years. i got in some trouble throughout my time that caused me to lose some of my good time.
It's illegal for workers to not have a certain amount of hours off before the next days work. Very dangerous and highly illegal to have people using heavy machinery to not be getting sleep.
Infamous Big Rob I bet OSHA paid them a visit
It may be illegal, but it still happens.
ps3master72 you know damn well OSHA went to town on this construction company.
@@ps3master72 YEPP...BACK IN THE DAY YOU COULD PULL THIS SHIT OFF....BUT NOW....YOU JUST DO NOT DO THIS....I HOPE OSHA....GOT THEM GOOD.....

I also saw a coworker killed on the job. it's definitely an eye opener. some things you just can't scratch out of your memory, no matter how much you want them out. I feel your pain brother

It's not surprising that he couldn't hear the alarm.

Thank you and yes it was.
I can only imagine how devastated his family was
No one should have to see something like that man, sending good vibes to you and his family
It's an evolutionary advantage to remember the bad stuff, to have an impact on us, so we don't repeat the mistake, their mistake.
Condolences to his family.

You're super good at suspenseful storytelling. I think you could have a career in storytelling if you wanted to.
Lucas Boyden yeah he's really good at telling stories
He does have a career in storytelling 😉
i have no words, that was very sad and you gave me a very vivid image of the tragedy. makes me apreciate life even more, thank you.

You forgott the lol.
I've been waiting for this video. I'm so sorry about this Joe.
it's illegal for a company to demand you back at work with less than 8 hours in between shifts
When it is construction it's the only job you can get and what the boss says, goes.
My dad works at DuPont and his boss follows that rule b
I thought it was 10

Joe you are an excellent story teller
seeing a fellow employee/friend die at work is something you never get over. i have seen some horrific injuries/1 death at my work.
Mouse Ramirez
Did he can tuna?
Randy Cantu he worked for a company called quest aero space that specializes in making model rockets.
i find it pretty ironic that a convict channel and an officer channel are getting a lot of attention at the same time (officer401)
thiccmemes same I found them on the same day when they both had there sub count jump
thiccmemes
yeah, they should do a collab
WALLe COOKIE honestly they should
thiccmemes Right!!
Fuck the police
I first thought someone got buried in the concrete alive
Papi Wa Hapi That sounds fucking painful
Like on Roseanne. Haha
I feel your pain Joe.
damn....i felt sick to even think that image of man under that tire...let his soul rest in peace
it was graphic. The most tragic thing I've seen out here in the free world.
Could you make some drawings every story (like the prison shower layout or smth) to help us get the picture better ?
That's a really good idea. I will do that.
Thanks Joe :D
Shedman can't wait good suggestion man
Shedman h
Shedman oh Jesus dude good suggestion, BAD video to make it on. ha. yikes...
R.I.P Tracy Chatman
HardAsSponge tried to make a funny comment for Joe but realised after I commented how it looked 😂😂😂 now I'm fucked hahahaha
Tyqas What?
Punk tattoo guy lmfaoooo
I hope that making this video was cathartic for you, Joe. I went through some terrible things about 2 years ago involving a fire where I lived. Talking it out makes it seem not so surreal. Life is so precious, like you say. You never know when things are going to be flipped upside down.
This story really made me realize to put the shit that happened to me in 2016, which was a horrible, horrible year, behind me. Even though the memories are still horrific and I will never forget the feeling, it isn't right to dwell upon it. Thanks for sharing Joe, love ya foeved
What was the scariest thing that happened while you where locked up?
I'd want to see this video, interesting topic
Look for that video soon.
Notorious Whooligan samez
I also live with PTSD Joe..... you're doing well buddy ;-)
so hyped for another video😀!! keep up what're you're doing and fuck the haters! EDIT: for everyone saying I don't see any haters, I just said that because a video or two ago I saw a few people accusing him of faking stories.
wrote this before I saw the entire video, hyped isn't the exact word I should've used.
-Derryl- So soooo what haters does this guy have? 4? ya fuck them 4 i guess hahaha... APS rocks buddy keep doing your thang
47 Chakras some people were trying to call him out for taking his content which of course he doesn't
-okay-
-Derryl- So but he has no haters
You are an blessed with the opportunity to inspire people. You have my respect
I think this is one of the deepest videos you made. As my mother always says its only sad for the souls left behind. Sorry to hear about your friend.
So Remember use your seat belt
This also happened in April kinda weird
(Sorry if it was long to read)
Damn that crazy bro. And that reminded me of a story from when I was almost killed and something eerily coincidental that happened on that same day too.
Fuck thats crazy
Chimney Rodriguez it was, hopefully I don't get to see nothing like that again.
tbh you did not really explain what it looked like that well
CR7NEYMAR he honestly did! I understood it perfectly. The guy got hit and got caught up under the vehicle and the front wheel ran over his feet up his body to his head!
CR7NEYMAR suuuuuuiiiiiiiii
He probably dosent want to decribe it in full detail for a reason. Its a pretty disturbing thing to witness you will find that out one day and understand if it ever happens to you.
If you can't imagine what that looked like, consider yourself lucky and move on.
Thank You.
Damn that's some long ass hours
Yeah... And think that I was working those kind of hours all the while trying to do AfterPrisonShow.
they got a mission in gta where you use a travel lift as trevor
Maybe if he got proper sleep he would still be alive...
MrPicklepod he must've been sleep deprived
He mentions in the video he was listening to music I'd say that played a big part
crazyperson3245 probably listening to my mixtape
This video made me cry. You are a really good storyteller. I love watching your videos.
Thanks for sharing Joe. I am am very sorry you had to see this. And God bless you. Much love your way brother, and Always know that God loves you.
You need to do a Labour union on that job
Death happens, even if you dont expect it.
It's life changing but it happens to all of us.
Very true.
+AfterPrisonShow NOTICE ME PRISON MASTER !
Ekrem Gümüssoy you have been noticed. lol
your blowing up after prisión show
Thanks for your story man, you drive a strong point. Life is precious, best we make the most and appreciate it while we can. Really enjoy your channel, keep up the good work.
So sorry to hear that you had to endure such a terrible thing to behold. Life is a very precious little thing, that could be gone in the blink of an eye. That's why I thank the All Mighty that He has granted me another breath.
this has been hyped.
the hype was real
how can a wheel be 5 ft tall and 3ft wide?
Boojyman like the tire from the treads to the rim
Jacob Roper yeah but a wheel should be the same length and width because it's a circle haha
Hannah Priest no. Just....no.
Hannah Priest no... Just... That's some retarded logic.
im cutting gym to watch this
Thank you for sharing this story. You're right, life is very precious. That poor man I truly feel for him and his family. I'm sorry that you and your co-workers had to experience that. It's a real case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. So sad.
love what you are doing APS I can relate to it for obvious reasons. I had a similar accident happen at a job site I was on where a kid was backed over by a dump truck, you will never get over that feeling good luck with the show
Video ideas??? How to keep your tattoo clean in prison. Come on 👍👍
I do have that video lined up. Could be this weekend.
AfterPrisonShow awesome man, keep up the good work 👍👍😀
he probably got knocked out.. he hit his head first...
Lets Hope
cristianxray123 he got fucking run over
Arno Grummel he most likely got knocked out on impact and died instantly because his insides got crushed
cristianxray123 Ik this sounds like I'm slow but I'm confused on what actually killed him? What happened to the wheel barrel to make it bend?
SAV4GE tbh i really dont know either.. cause im slow too. LOL but the way i see it is that the machine was behind him or infront of him and ran him over and the wheel barrel. therefore the wheel barrel got crushed.
I'm scared of machines now
You are currently one of my favourite RUclipsrs. Very entertaining. Keep it up. And sorry to hear about the man who got killed.
Your amzing man.
yo joe, want me to create a banner for you? youtube, twitter or any other etc etc...
im pretty experienced I'd like to think.
plus it will be free, of course
Sedge Sedgicus do you make banners for people?
Sedge Sedgicus you should do some templates for him to see and send it to him in a private chat and if he likes it he'll tell you so good luck
Shelby 98666 I do occasionally make them, I'm just looking for a side project, its always good for experience.
syrus walkins yeah but I don't know if he wants any images on it or if he could even give me some assets to work with/colors or themes. Because if I make something, the chances of him liking it are quite slim, I'm sure that he'd appreciate it but that's different.
Make a collab with officer401
