All I can say is this show does not disappoint. Lucas, Elizabeth & lil Jack are just too cute. Love other actors also. Just absolutely enjoying season 9.
Loved Elizabeth seeing her two boys together. She felt the love overflow. Loved the end forehead kiss and she swooned 😍🔥❤️. (and love that we got a I love you moment from her to asleep Lucas)

Watched this when it aired and love coming across this now as I am waiting fo S10 ( also already renewed for S11!!!). Ratings were fine for S9 (2nd highest rated cable series!): I know one lady was worried, I am glad she can relax and be happy for that,. And as for the gentleman concerned about historical accuracy,. I know personally, I watch for the wholesome, positive, uplifting message. I don't know of any other show that like it in TV. So thankful for WCTH. S9was so great. Love L&E&LJ and all of the characters on WCTH! Thank you writers for this great show
This whole scene and to her saying the three words were all so lovely scenes and moments. Lucas with Litte Jack - he was so like a father. Lucas and Elizabeth are so aware of their touches and the spark. The love she feels for this man and saying those words. I liked how it was done - her realising how much she loves him.
Loving Season 9, but Episode 4 topped the charts!! I believe every emotion was touched in this episode, but this scene with Lucas, Elizabeth & Little Jack was perfection. The goodnight kiss was very emotional. I think Lucas will say I Love You soon & a marriage proposal will follow. 💕💞💕.

So I hope you can accept that and accept that Lucas, like the writers who write his character says is a good man and is Elizabeth's lifetime! If not, then find something else to watch, if you can find anything that is family friendly and as good as When Calls the Heart.

Regarding being perfect, all humans are imperfect. There is a difference between imperfection and dishonesty. To go against Elizabeth’s wishes for LJ to not have ice cream would have been deliberately dishonest. Beyond that it would have set an example before that sweet little boy that it would be okay to sneak around behind his mother’s back to go against her will and do something she had specifically said not to do, and for a specific reason. That’s neither respectful nor loving. That’s undermining a mother’s authority. Faith said ice would help with LJ’s swollen gums. She was right. Ice is good. Been there done that. It was better to wait and have ice cream together as a family as they did. That may seem too perfect to some. It’s just a part of decency, imo.

I would've loved to see Lucas be imperfect with LJ. Like he gave him ice cream when he wasn't supposed to. It's hard to believe Lucas is perfect with LJ and they never spent time together.
But he did listen and was abiding to it and even told Rosemary but it seemed Little Jack was feeling alittle off and so he went to see Faith so the ice cream helped as she said his 3 yrs old molars is coming so ice cream helps. We got to assume they have spent some time together since he and Elizabeth are properly together and dinners at her house since he finally entered her home.
