Can't lie, I love this thing. Fly it right and it cleans up teams. Easily one of my best props

Eh, I never fell in love with it, I always found the firepower underwhelming and while it turned well, it never did exactly what I wanted it to do. By no means am I saying it's a bad plane, but it just isn't the right fit for me.

My favourite plane to take out in ground RB. It's just so effective as a fighter and tank destroyer.

Hated the p63s for ages but after dedicating a day or 2 of flyouts with this thing it became my favourite plane

All the Airacobras and Kingcobras are pretty great once you get the 37mm aim down, some of my favorite planes for sure
Honestly, the .50 cals are pretty good on their own, too.

I just played my first match with this plane 5 minutes ago.
It preforms really well for being stock, looking forward to flying it once it is spaded.
France is the 6th nation I am grinding and another reason I won't touch the American tech tree. You get American Planes and Tanks in every other tech tree and usually the better version on top of it. I will probably grind the Americans last.

Hey spit you should give the p38G a try, one of my favorite seal clubbers. If you're looking for more of a higher br challenge, try the p38L or p38k. I just love the p38's some of the most beautiful looking planes imo

The P-38L is my go-to when I want to seal club. F82 is second choice but only if I have some wingmen. Then it's unstoppable.
The P38s are strong because of their air spawn, but the problem is that now you always face the Americans...

Well you actually outclimb the Zero at pretty much any altitude, its climbrate is part of what makes the p63 enjoyable. Great vid btw

The thing I've found about the 37mm on the P-63 is that it'll shoot straight and true for around 2-4 shots, and then it'll start going wild. I tend to prefer using the 37mm over my 50 cals for longer range because all it takes is a single hit to cripple the enemy plane.
That being said, I am a ground forces player, so it could be that the pilots I fight against just aren't very good at flying and make it a lot easier to pull off 1km+ hits. It also could be that my thought of "long range fire" is in fact very close range for air RB.

I find with the American 37, it works better when you use it one or two shots at a time, when you know you have the enemy lined up. At least, that's how I've always used it
The 37 mm is something that takes time to get used to. While you affectionately referred to it as a turd, I don't necessarily agree - while it's very low velocity at only 610 m/s, its HEFI-T shell actually has _more explosive filler_ than similar shells used by the Yak-9T's NS-37 cannon, meaning that if it does hit, it's a very meaty explosion. The accuracy also isn't as bad if you fire very selectively, in single shot bursts or maybe two or three shells in a salvo, which is to say that first-shot accuracy is usually pretty decent, but as the cannon "warms up" the accuracy becomes almost random.
I just dont like this plane, the low velocity cannon is very annoying to aim, it just loves to get into stupid flat spins and it suddenly decides to handle like a bus if you lose your speed.
It's definitely undertiered but that doesn't make it fun to fly

With the unreal climb rate and that nasty cannon, the 63's are born bomber slayers. The only real weakness is crappy ballistics on the cannon, but against slow clumsy bombers that problem is pretty much irrelevant. When I go bomber hunting in my 63's, the other team bleeds bombers as fast as they care to spawn them in.
This is my main grinder for the French tree. It’s the only one worth flying until the F4U-7
Some may say even the F4U isn't that great, but the Bearcat 👀
That's my go to plane when challenging a friend to a dogfight.
It is fast, turns well, and is well armed...
'can't say for RB but it is a beast when it comes to 1v1 engagements.

It's the perfect tool to kill wehraboos with. What else is there to say about it? It's hilarious seeing someone go "German Engineering is the greatest of all" (bit of paraphrase cause I can't remember the exact thing they said) and proceed to die 3 times in a row on a 1v1 with their pesky 109 F-4 against this thing. The best part is that the 109 kept turning and turning, no energy game.

I have the second P-63 in the American tree, I can freely say its a beast. I haven’t gotten the third one cause I heard there was no change modeled in game for it.

The 37 mm cannon is good to taking bombers, one hit and they go back to the hangar .
An even better way of killing bombers with the 37 is aiming for their wings, which is where their fuel tanks are at usually. Multiple fuel fires on a single wing of a bomber is always extremely satisfying. Serves those space climbing twats right. However I ain't saying every bomber is a space climber, not that they have a choice for a chance at survival anyway.
This thing destroys heavy bombers sometimes 1 37mm hit with the explosive fragmenting ammo is all it takes to blast the entire thing out
My bf 109 f4 and yak 3 usually steal the lunch money of every US plane apart from maybe only xp50 if I have gunpods on my 109. I have even killed p51h's and f8f in ground rb using 109 f4

The p63a-10 in Ground RB is a beast, the 37mm can be used to damage enemy tanks!... it turns well, it climbs well, it have fire power, my favorite so far
the m4 37mm cannon cannot pierce tank armor at any angle. this is backed up by the wiki.

Imagine if the turbo charging system in the initial design of the P-39 didn't suffer from cooling issues, we would have seen a very different group of planes.

Would fly it, but the best ive had with props was a left wing crit with a 109 G14, and over 500 sparks in the past week alone so..
thoughts on the Tempest Mk V? I've seen people ask for its br to be lowered but I've been enjoying it even vs superprops

@@goldendrifts8377 hmm that's interesting, I'm able to beat 109Gs consistently (better speed and turn), tho Ta and K4s seem to be a bit tough 1v1. The insane dive allows me to bait them low for the rest tho
So the 37mm in the king cobras used to be amazing and shoot true for the first 5 rounds or so and then it was spammed when ussr got one as an even premium. The snail then nurfed the lethality and accuracy because people complained.
It just got buffed

at first i didnt like this plane and then i started doing very good with it and i said to my self, its one of the most balanced planes in the game at climbing shoting and maneuverability. if someone is new to the game play this one.

literally the only competitive plane in french air tree, and one of the best 4.0 props, stock it's painful, but when you got the engine mods, it becomes fucking great

I use both in my realistic gb lineup. I prefer the P-63 because I love the 37mm and better low altitude maneuvering. Like spit said, the high altitude energy retention is better in the P-51C. Depends on what playsyle you prefer. Also, the P-63 gets 3x 500lb bombs while the P-51C gets 2x.

Don't head on. Don't fly INTO the enemy formation. Go off to the side. Pick your target thats unaware, alone, or not diving.

That's my only complaint about it, if the 37mm would just work, this would be my go to plane everytime, but it hurts me when I hit a fighter in the pilots spot and I don't even get a hit.

@@kaiburns4257 true, it's a team supporter type plane or that's how I use it. Thing is you can dog fight a hand full of planes like the fw 190s and bf 109s. I just got the thing and have around 40 games in it spaded too. So far I haven't actually had the chance to fight a Mk 9 yet so I sadly can't relate.
