    Hi Brianna! I am a new subscriber, I recommend studying German at the Goethe Institut as they have classes in a group environment where you can make friends with people who are also learning German.

    Yeah, I get that not speaking German in more rural areas tends to be more of a problem than in more urban ones. Especially considering the fact that the more rural you get, the stronger local dialects become, and depending on where you live, that can be quite rough. However, what's also true is that people love it when you know and use at least some individual terms in dialect, because it's just good fun.
    VHS courses are generally very good. You'll be doing great. All the best and have fun!
