'Halloween II' - Full Vinyl Soundtrack by John Carpenter and Alan Howarth

- As before, Myers aka “The Shape” is propelled by that theme, souped up with a new and more powerful arrangement from Carpenter and Howarth. HALLOWEEN II is more overtly synth - and is perhaps less focused - than the original score, although that certainly means it's nastier and more schizophrenic. The score also brings back the evocative "Laurie's Theme," incorporating into a score full of harrowing musical effect; its synthesized howls and wails pierce your ears, so that by the time 'Mr. Sandman' comes around, you'll feel just like the final girl - delirious at having survived the aural ordeal. And that's just when "The Shape" wakes up.

I remember seeing Halloween (1978) when NBC aired it on a Friday night in 1981. Two days later, I saw Halloween II in the movie theater. I was 11 y/o, scared as hell, and had a memorable Halloween weekend!
Always loved this particular "Halloween" theme song better than the rest.

Thank you sir.
That theme is so 80’s I love it. Great reimagining of the Halloween theme. I might like the sequel theme better than the original because I’m a sucker for synth music
What are you talking about? Everyone knows that Halloween was created by Rob Zombie in the early 2000's and that The Highlander was a documentary, and events happened in real time!
@@JaymeSplendid LOL - if only the trashy, foul mouthed RZ version had never happened. Absolute trash. Ohio is full of the types seen in it.
@@JaymeSplendid Zombie created Halloween? Halloween was written and directed by Debra Hill and John Carpenter…or are you being sarcastic?
Horror soundtracks are so good on vinyl !!! Thanks !
Carpenter went crazy on the synths on this one. Much more electronic feel than the original, similar to Halloween 3.
It's actually Alan Howarth
Even a lot of the top pop tunes of that time were adding in those sounds. They haven't aged well lol, but still fit the movie IMO
I like it. Makes life interesting with varieties.
@@boingokky John worked with Alan on the second and third Halloween films, after that it was just Alan on H4 and H5. Then different composers came and went until John Carpenter came back for Halloween 2018.
The intro to this soundtrack is by far the coolest in the Halloween series....hands down. That goes for the H2 movie intro as well, Loomis' horror that the patient he knew as human had survived 6 shots, then leading into the Title and jack o lantern.
🎃
This is my favorite score of the franchise the new doesn't even acknowledge Halloween II.
@Rob Kearsy Halloween (2018) Is supposed to pick up 40 Years Later from the original Halloween (1978). John Carpenter's Halloween. Halloween II (1981) is the movie that started this whole Michael Myers in family relations with Laurie Strode BS, The origin of Halloween is Michael going after his victims. Everything after Halloween II (1981) was an honest mistake as they made Jamie the niece of Michael Myers and The Strode Family a cursed victim.
There was a reason why Halloween II (1981) WAS ignored in the Halloween (2018) film.

Because this one made them siblings. They should have never been related, they were close to having it be apart of the timeline, but that siblings angle is what made them cut it out. Also H2018 isn't my fav of the franchise, but it had tied with nick castle the best myers JJC did a PHENOMENAL job, best mask with H1978, and the best score by far.
H2018 was complete trash they should have ended it with 81 thats it
@@access_virus I wouldn’t say H2018 was complete trash and I am looking forward to Halloween Kills and Halloween Ends but I do prefer Halloween 2. It was a fantastic sequel.👍🏻
@@Jdogg1976 I agree
It was a great movie and wow tge music was wonderful. Thanks for it on vinyl.
perfect music for a dark and stormy night
that It Is scary music for a dark stormy night be very aware of who's around u
Halloween 2 always terrified me as a child, far more than the first. A dark hospital with no one in it, and a soundtrack like a twisted fairy tale theme.
Absolutely brilliant 🎩
If only the newer halloweens had soundtracks this good
Perfect!
Best soundtrack of the franchise
Man!!! Bro you are so GOLD!!!!!!!!!
This is the music I want at my funeral. ☠
😂 Imagine
If we're talking John Carpenter music for funerals, I want "The Duke Arrives" music from 'Escape From New York' playing when thery're carrying my casket out. ruclips.net/video/xCVWyZ9TzX4/видео.html
Mr. Sandman?
I'm gonna have a clown at my funeral and when people walk up to the casket, he's gonna jump out from behind it and squirt 'em in the face with his flower.
Great sound and great artwork on sleeve
Best score of them all.
Best of them all
Thank you
Hey bud, Not only do you have a sweet set up and a great record collection, you’ve got a great channel for sharing cozy horror soundtracks. Truly the best genre. Thanks! 🎃🔪🩸
ABSOLUTE TERROR ! I love it. Thank you so much for the upload. 😁
Just got the box set yesterday. I was mainly excited about having the Halloween 3 score on vinyl, but man did listening to this in all its analog glory blow me away.
Love it 😊 thank you! Brings back soo many fun childhood Halloween memories and I always had this one on. The best of them all I think!
Absolutely beautiful vinyl and excellent sound quality. 🎃🤘
i fucking LOVE it! a MUCH needed "musical element" for this day. Peace from Wisconsin!
Awesome soundtrack😀👍👌 simply love it😍
This is a great channel!
Halloween, Halloween II and Halloween IV all have their own takes on the basic theme and are all fantastic albums. They're also the only three movies I think make the best contained story theme (Evil cannot die. It will always return someway - Michael to Jamie).
don't give the plot ! but I agree with you : a good trilogy, but what is great with Halloween, is that you can create the time line you want 1-2018, 1-2-4-5-6, 1-H20, 1-2-4, 1-H20-8, 1-2018-kills, etc, etc.
@@valerycharles6007 Yeah, the Halloween Multiverse is more complex than the MCU at this point, and it all depends on which movies you watch.
@@FuzzyDan hahahaha :) indeed. But it's simple too : YOU decide what you want, your taste is the best flavor :)
Good lord the piece "The Shape Stalks Again" is terrifying by itself.
Lucifer Sam the best track!!! So menacing!
Flats in the Parkin lot was scary as hell!! 19:32
Love it!!!!! 🎃👻🎃👻🎃👻🎃
LOVE THIS SOUNDTRACK!! THANKS DUDE!!

Halloween II theme song is my favorite sound. John carpenter is the man.
Love this!🎃🎃🎃
Best Halloween soundtrack 🎃
Best Halloween ll Song
24:01 Theme is my FAV
Sounds like someone reading a horror story out loud to children at the library.
So awesome..
"You dont know what death is!" 1:08
Love the atmosphere in H2. Is it me or does the artwork for Michaels mask look like Rob Zombies Halloween film?
Dope~
Mr sandman send me a dream
I love the vinyl pattern a lottt, that dark red looks like the pool of blood Jimmy slips on in II and the yellow and green almost looks like whatever Michael "bled" in Halloween 6. And then there's the blue of Michael's jumpsuit separating the 2. Probably not, but fun to think about
Adding the family connection (Myers and Strode) was probably influenced by Empire Strikes Back which hit theaters a year before and was arguably the best element of the Star Wars trilogy. The revelation that the hero protagonist was created by the villain antagonist was exactly why the series was raised to another level of cinematic storytelling. Turning Michael Myer's motivation from senseless random murder to a family vendetta had a similar impact and created a more intriguing mystery overall. What happened in the that Myer's household that would create a killer and one who would seek out to eviscerate all of its members? Not sure if he ever killed his parents though. Very mysterious . . .
The Halloween sequels weren't really held in any high regard by the public or critics until H20, and then again with H18. And only with those two films really. And judging by the box office for the new sequels compared to Halloween II, I'd say the family angle was holding the franchise back this whole time.
Halloween 2 🥰😍🥰😎😍🥰🙂😎😎

Does anyone have the 2012-14 release with the clear Vinyl + black and white "nurse Michael" cover? I'm hoping to learn if the pressing has a different sound. In video playbacks, it seems like they are different. Can anyone confirm?
Thank you for your help!
I sold this one to get the all orange variant. The tri color had too much surface noise when switching colors.
Hmm the main theme here doesn't sound right. The synth sound is supposed to sound like an organ, but it sounds altered here. Its different compared to the other uploaded versions.
Mark Dillon yes, sounds different, the “organ” section was removed from the main title, don’t know why they did that. They also used a more polished version of mr. Sandman.
The original death waltz pressing of part II and III are superior. Especially II, the sound and artwork blow away this reissue in my opinion.
@@MrGIJuu Can you clarify the difference between this version and the 2014 version, also do you have the 2014 version of Halloween I was wondering why it has 2LP's with the 2018 reissue is suppose to be complete!
Nagaoka is the TRUTH!!!
question for u horror fan's out thurr outta all the Vinyl Scary Soundtrack's u guy's listened to on RUclips which one u guy's can't get enough of listening to on RUclips
mine's are none other than Friday The 13TH Part 2 Friday The 13TH Part 3 Friday The 13TH Part 4 and last but not least I can't leave this one off my list Of Soundtrack's Halloween 2 1981
Cool, i have 4 of the 5 waiting for Halloween to arrive. is it just me or does it seem like all 5 albums are not gonna fit properly in the slip case box?
It looks full with just these 4 in it. I'm scared to see what happens when I try and put the 40th edition of Halloween in there
I've seen a few people saying they do not all fit...
Where is the organ in the main title??? It’s missing totally!
Does anyone know why the organs sound different on vinyl?
Donald pleasance
Hello Yeah no we are ready for a lil of the ol demolition

@@Emma-nuell she is a great woman
In this movie he REALY DIED the rest of the Halloween movies should have been about other stories like HW3

The soundtrack is fucking great on all of them
