1. Sydney: the shot with all the yachts is very likely the start of the Sydney-Hobart yacht race, which takes place from the 26th December (known as Boxing Day) each year. Although the boat traffic is busier than usual, there are plenty of yachts on the Harbour on any nice day. 2. Melbourne: "Them little houses" are bathing boxes. These are places people can store stuff for the beach and just hang out in. Believe it or not, these tiny structures can sometimes change hands to hundreds of thousands of dollars. They are iconic aspects of Melbourne's bayside. 4. Perth: The picture of the boat in between the rocky outcrops is the Horizontal Falls in the Buccaneer Archipelago. It is a spectacular spot where the tides are massive and rush from one bay to the next through a narrow gap that creates rapids. I took a charter flight in a light plane over the Horizontal Falls. However, this is 2,350 km (1,460 miles) from Perth. It is like showing features of Seattle and including a shot of the Grans Canyon. I think this is taking liberties. 5. Adelaide, 90 Mile Straight Road: like the one above, this is a good distance from the city it is purportedly in; in this case, it it 1,605 km (997 miles) from Adelaide and not even in the same state (the road is in Western Australia and Adelaide in in South Australia). 8. Canberra: "That building" is Parliament House (the equivalent of your Congress in Washington). Everything is pretty far apart; Australia is about the same size as the contiguous United States.
This Video did not do any of our cities justice. You need to look at videos of the individual cities. Our cities are all very clean with great outdoor spaces, beautiful buildings, bridges and monuments, fantastic restaurants and the best coffee in the world. My favorite is Brisbane, the capital of the state of Queensland.
Guys in Melbourne we have the most well built bridge in Australia Its called the Montague Street bridge . It was built around 1915 , is only 9ft 10 inches in clearance , but to this day it is still standing like a true champion , despite the fact that many trucks and buses have tried and failed to go under it successfully
FYI, Melbourne is now number 1. We have taken over Sydney in population.😊 Those little boxes on Brighton beach are iconic and if one comes up for sale it will cost you around $400,00 to $500,00 to buy. Our large cities are mostly coastal, that's why you're seeing lots of beaches and waterways. Australian beaches are the best, especially the beaches in Perth, my opinion. All of our cities have their own personalities, from the relaxed and tropical Brisbane in the north, to Sydney with its fantastic harbour, and then down to Melbourne, Australia's sporting capital, known for its beautiful theatres, its graffitied laneways with quirky shops, fashion boutiques, great restaurants and amazing coffee.
It’s very hard to capture any city in the world in a short video especially 10 in Australia where each of those capital and regional cities have different characters. Just one thing, the Horizontal Falls are amazing but they are not in Perth but in a tropical region called the West Kimberley about 2,500km north of Perth.
I live in Adelaide in South Australia, and have done since I came to Australia in the mid 60s. If someone held a gun to my head and said 'pick another city to live other than Adelaide, I'd pick Perth. It's situated at the Southwest corner of the continent, and is one of the most remote cities in the world.
Hey guys, I'm originally from Scotland, then moved to Sydney for 20 years, now living in Brisbane (Brisb'n )for the last 33 years. I absolutely love Brisbane. This video just doesn't do our beautiful country justice
I live in Sydney. Our harbour is so beautiful. The yachts with the black sails are probably in an event called the Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race. It sails out of Sydney Harbour the day after Christmas Day and sails down the coast to Hobart, the capital of Tasmania. It’s a handicap race so a small yacht can win as opposed to a maxi yacht which is what you saw there. The big building in Canberra is our federal Parliament House. It’s a beautiful building, unfortunately full of politicians…. The name under each city is the state they are located in.
We don’t get hurricanes or typhoons in Melbourne , they are beach huts on brighten beach , people use em for storage & for some cover whilst out at the beach

They overviews were a bit brief & too fast, but I always like to see people's reaction to our cities. Underneath the city name, is the name of the state. Nice job guys 👍👍👍
The one right at the end is Tasman Island. The cliffs rise 280 meters(306 yards) straight out of the water. Directly behind where the photo would be taken from is Cape Pillar which is over 300 meters tall and the tallest sea cliffs in the southern hemisphere. Incredible piece of coast line
No we don't have Bears ,Big Cats or Large land Carnivores that a person can see coming But of 20 most Venomous Snakes, Australia has 11 of them, lethal Spiders, Beatles and Ants Crazy Birds that can disembowel a person and Plants with leaves that have caused people to end themselves to escape the pain. And Then there's the water life, Croc's, Sharks, Sea Snakes and Box Jellyfish, Iruganji and Blue bottles etc Most of which you don't see coming.
Ur right. Perth is spectacularly beautiful. But all Aussies cities are really. Tip for saying place names correctly … Melbourne is “Melb’n” … Brisbane is “ Brisb’n” … Canberra is “ Can-bra” 🤩
As an Aussie (Melbournian), I have to say we live in a huge and beautiful country, where you can find any type of climate and terrain you could wish for. The "little houses" on the beach in Melbourne that you asked about, are what we call beach houses. They can be purchased to store all your beach equipment, and used as a mini kitchen/eating area, and to get changed in. They're generally just a small room. Regarding them being hit by hurricanes or typhoons, luckily we don't get them here, although the northern states of Australia can get cyclones, which are similar to your twisters. You also asked how traffic is. Generally it's ok, but sadly, traffic in the big cities can be atrocious at times, as is the case for most large cities around the world. I assume that this video was compiled to attract tourists, but even so, there are much better videos to showcase Australia. The title is also deceiving as the Gold Coast and Sunshine coast are not cities, they're regions. Many of the shots were not of the cities themselves, but areas near the cities or within the same state that they're in. I'm going to have to look for some videos to recommend to you to really showcase our cities, and to show the amazing landscapes and scenery outside of the cities. 😉🇦🇺
1. Is now Melbourne. Our population is now larger than Sydney. Being my hometown, I’m totally biased. Known as the sporting capital of Australia Melbourne is the home of the Australian Open tennis, the Australian Grand Prix. Australia Football League or AFL and has been voted the worlds most liveable city multiple times. It is also known for its culture, coffee and multicultural world class dining. With the worlds largest Light rail network (trams) and being the capital of Victoria the garden state. You’d love it, for its live music and many other attractions. All the best from Melbourne Australia.
Favorite cities 1 Perth 2 Hobart 3 Melbourne [because my daughter lives there....] 6:51 that scene you went nuts over is thousands of kilometres north of Perth.... You can only get there by boat or seaplane....
I grew up in Perth. Most remote city in the world but a great city to grow up in. I have visited every one of those other city's except Hobart and can honestly Perth is my favourite.
Melbourne (Melb'n) Brisbane (brisb'n) Canberra (canbra') Little houses on the beach are beach boxes people store their summer beach gear. Can cost half to around a million bucks.
The laneway in Melbourne with all the graffiti is Hosier Lane - everything gets graffitied, including the garbage bins and doors. If you left your car there it would be graffitied too! Melbourne is well known for its laneways. If it is not graffiti, then its full of coffee or entrances to restaurants with hidden rooftop bars. The boat ride in the canyon calling it Perth is a bit if a stretch (although it is in Western Australia); it will take you three days just to drive there lol! Like claiming Yellowstone NP is a tourist attraction of Los Angeles!
You two beautiful people need to come to Australia, not just because you are showing Oz in this clip but we need to adopt you both and claim you as Australian for your heart and shining beauty ( and reviews of our music of course )
Come out and visit us guys ! But yes, you are right that we do have some of the deadliest creatures in the world . But as we Aussies say. She'll be right, mate 😂.I'm in Hobart Tasmania. Our wilderness is spectacular. Home of the Famous Tasmanian Devil.
There really is one dangerous thing should be wary of in Australia and that is the legendary Sheila. They are cheeky and alluring, and I can't say any more because one is looking at me right now. Goodbye!
The strange building in Canberra is Parliament House. It was designed by an American Architect and it reflects the original concept and design philosophy of Canberra's designer, another American, Walter Burley Griffin. In keeping with the notion that the people of our nation are more important than the politicians and they exist to serve the people, the building sits within a hill and has sections of grass on the roof so that the people can walk over the building - the politicians aren't above the people! Canberra is our nation's Capital City and interestingly the only major city not situated near the coast. It's only 110 years old and was built in a rural area roughly half way between Sydney and Melbourne.
"In keeping with the notion that the people of our nation are more important than the politicians and they exist to serve the people"...Yeah I'm still trying to figure out what happened with that! lol🤔
Perth is a great city, easy to get around. I lived there for 15 years. No idea why they showed the horizontal falls that are thousands of kilometres away but not Rottnest Island and it’s cute quokkas right on Perth’s doorstep. Perth is said to be the most isolated capital city in the world.. WA is so big (around 1 million square miles) it takes 15 hours to travel from Perth to the state border. To give you some perspective on Australia’s size 2 states, Western Australia and Queensland are bigger than Alaska, another 2 states New South Wales and South Australia, as well as the Northern Territory are all bigger than Texas.
The third shot you show of The Sunshine Coast is of and area called Noosa. It is where I live and it is beautiful. There is a main area called Noosa beach next to the national park. Just behind Noosa beach is a street of lovely shops called Hastings Street. Just over the hill is Noosa Junction which is more ordinary. The third shot you show is looking across the sandbars from Noosa beach towards the Noosa river where there are more shops as well as restaurants and coffee shops to watch the world go by. You can hire boats and travel up the river into the Everglades and even as far up as Lake Cootharaba. Also The Sunshine Coast isn’t a city, it’s a stretch of coastline with many small beachside communities.
So why don't you guys come to Australia, land in Sydney, then drive across to Perth. Hahahaha! You'll need 10 days for the journey, to ensure you have time to explore plenty along the way. LOL.
G'day Guys! Oz is a huge place and some of the shots were not from the cities...like that boat going towards the horizontal falls in the Perth segment. They are over 2,000 kms from Perth...Likewise some of the shots form the Adelaide section are also way out in the bush and nowhere near the actual city...In Canberra- "What is that building?" It is the national Parliament House...The name below the city names are the state name although Canberra is in a territory not a state... There are pros and cons for all of our cities but if like me you hate the cold then avoid Hobart, Melbourne and Canberra the rest are all quite comfortable... Cheers!
Howdy Travis & Susy, Re: Little Houses on the beach in Melbourne … > I’d say they’re probably the vibrant, multi-coloured beach huts in Brighton that lie along its shore. They were built more than 100 years ago & were set up so ladies could change into their swimwear in privacy. Re: Text Titles… > The above larger text was the name of the city & underneath in smaller font was the name of the State or Territory. Re: Fave City: Perth > Grew up in Sydney. Travelled right 'round the country for a year in 1989 & have been to all the Cities except Darwin in the Northern Territory (not in the video). Also went inland. > Ended up moving to Perth over 30 years ago as a result of my trip. In a nut shell,… Perth for me, offers the best cost of living & lifestyle. Couple with the incredible natural beauty of Western Australia, it’s a no-brainer :D
Sydney has a huge natural Harbour, Perth is on a very large river. Most of our big cities are on the beach, except Canberra. Melbourne is at the start of the great ocean road. The sea can be deadly on the bass strait. You can hire a classic car to drive it and stop for meals at fishing towns, stay overnight? Adelaide is close to underground Cooper Pedy, And the wine fields of the Barossa valley. The East coast has the Hunter Valley wineries. New south Wales, the dish, that Nasa works with. Italian immigrants brought vines with them, a long time ago. Between Melbourne and Sydney are many ski resorts, a short drive west, in the mountains. You have to decide what interests you most, then pick a place to go first. We do have many beaches and plenty of Islands off the coast. Queensland is at least 3 days to drive end to end. (Has the great Barrier Reef.) Without stopping. The Goldie is one hour's drive south, the Sunshine coast one hour drive north from Brisbane. The whitsundays are 2 days North. Cairns is nearly 3, the tablelands to the west of there, has wineries, coffee and tea plantations, chocolate makers on dairy farms... in the rainforest, with natural volcanic lakes, fresh water, dormant volcanoes for now. To make sydney and melbourne takes 2 days more south of Brissy. Melbourne to Adelaide is a day or so. Aelaide to Perth is the longest distance, longer than Queensland. That golf course, takes thousands of miles. You have to drive to the next place for the next hole. The rocky desert terrain, sends golf balls everwhere. It's more a novelty, with animals on the course too. The Ghan is the train, Melbourne to Perth, folks eat great food and gain weight en route. More than a one day trip, bathrooms and beds in cabins. Perth to Broome, pearling town, is days north of Perth, across the desert. That is closer to the sea that got you stirred up. You learn the value of water out there, you can't eat designer clothes, even gold is not worth much over food and water, when you have none. The huge rock, uluru is smack bang in the middle, or so, north of Alice Springs, a bit closer to Darwin, at the top of the middle. It's around 5 days north of Adelaide, past the Alice, to Darwin through the desert. Not everywhere has roads, though there are plenty, some places you need permission to go to.
Just an aside, you were asking about Australian divas, in an earlier post. Check out "I honestly love you", by Dami Im, Wendy Mathews, Samantha Jade and Katie Noonan. It's an Olivia Newton John song these ladies recorded in tribute after the death of our "Livy".
the titles are cities and State/Territory they are located in. I live in Perth, Westerrn Australia and My favourite thing is visiting the Beach and the City of Fremantle. Note there are also smaller cities in eact state and territory. Each state has a Capital city, but the Main Federal Capital city of Australia is, Canberra (Pronounced: CAN-BRAH). never ever promounce it Canbeerra LOL.
All of our cities have their own attractions. I grew up in Adelaide (Radelaide lol) but now live in Canberra. Brisbane & Sydney are nice places to visit but wouldn't want to live there. Melbourne is great if you like sports. Perth is too far away (cheaper for most Aussies to fly to Asia or New Zealand than to Perth). Gold Coast too much hi-rise for my liking and Sunshine Coast getting that way too. Hobart is a nice old (by Aussie standards) town. Remember waking up about 5am in a Newcastle hotel once and thinking 'what are all those things in the sea?' - they were surfers getting up early to catch a wave before work or school.
The bit you don’t realize from this is that Gold Coast is 1hr south of Brisbane and Sunshine Coast is 1 hr north of Brisbane. It’s a beautiful part of the world. It’s the state of Queensland
Back in 1978 I rode (an Yamaha SR500) from Sydney to Perth and camped in the desert along the way. Perth really surprised me with how huge & beautiful Kings Park was and still is. For the most of 70 years I've lived in "My City of Sydney" (there's a song about it). We just opened a new 'under the harbour' driver-less train service with state of the art cathedral like stations. Anyway, just about every city and location is full of wonder, beauty, delicious authentic cuisines, and friendly people & from every nation on earth. I'm so fortunate to have been born a 5th generation Aussie. Yeah, that first shot of the yachts is the annual Sydney to Hobart Yacht race exiting Sydney harbour, a massive deep water harbour of almost unimaginable character, little beaches and beauty. 'Little beaches' apart from the 35,000 other beaches around this vast continent of God's own country. G'day to Travis and Suzie.
I moved from the Gold Coast in Queensland to southern Tasmania. OMG I love it so much here in Tassie. Yet I would say there are positives to anywhere in Australia. Definitely worth a visit if you can ever get here
A lot more to see outside the big cities in my opinion. To each their own I guess but the world is full of great cities but mother nature saved her best for the bush and along the coast.
The little house's on the beach are are called beach boxes, they cost lot's to buy and you can store your beach stuff in them. No electricity or running water. They have been their for a very long time, they may even be heritage listed.
The sail boats in Sydney Harbour is the start of the Sydney to Hobart yat race, starting on Boxing Day (December 26) & the other tall sail boat in Hobart was probably the winner of the race. The quickest race time is around 2 days & 16 hr the average is about 3 1/2 days
As to your question regarding distances. Perth is the most isolated city in the world. Australia is about the same size as the US minus Alaska. So Perth would be San Diego and Brisbane would be New York. Hobart would be Florida Keyes. Adelaide would be Huston. Melbourne would be New Orleans and Sydney would be Philadelphia. Hope that gives you an idea of distances. All the best from Melbourne Australia.
It's actually the 4th most isolated city in the world. What you mean is Perth is the most isolated state capital in the world. Iquito, Peru is number 1.
The USA actually has the greatest number of recorded, unprovoked shark attacks on the planet, closely followed by Australia. Australia however, holds the record for the most fatal shark attacks… especially Western Australia (where Perth is). You can’t go swimming at beaches in the northern areas of Australia due to danger of crocodile attacks but in southern waters there are no crocodiles because the sharks eat them all, lol. Perth is a very beautiful city but it’s really far away from the rest of Australia. If you have limited time here, I would recommend seeing the Eastern states first because everything is closer together here. 🙂 if you’re not used to the heat, I’d suggest visiting in any season other than Summer.
@@troyonplanet I’m just repeating the offical terms experts use to measure shark attacks. The International Shark Attack File (ISAF) is a global database. It says a ‘provoked’ incident relates to circumstances where the person attracts or initiates physical contact with a shark (accidentally or on purpose) or was fishing for, stabbing, feeding, netting, or handling a shark, or where the shark was attracted to the victim by activities such as fishing, spearfishing (where a fish has already been speared), and cleaning of captured fish. Until 2021, all incidents involving a spearfisher or a commercial diver were categorised (sic) as ‘provoked’. Since review of provocation criteria, incidents involving spearfishers will now be classed as ‘provoked’ only if a fish has already been speared. Incidents involving rays are considered out of scope and are not included in the database.
@iankearns774 I guess everyone experiences different things throughout their life and I've had great experiences and have always loved Melbourne. We're all different and enjoy different lifestyles. Some like the sun and some prefer the cold. I'm born in Melbourne and have travelled to other states. Perth is beautiful!!
Hi T&S I always watch your shows. if you two want some more Australian scenery or eye candy. Then maybe watch the series Australia: The Time Traveller's Guide and the Bush Tucker man with Major Les Hiddins both are educational, and you get to see what our country really looks like. They're not too bad to watch so enjoy them.
Interesting that the list didn't include Darwin, the capital of the NT, but did include the Sunshine Coast (which isn't a city). I live in Brisbane, so have the Sunshine coast about an hour's drive north and the Gold Coast about two hour's drive south. Nice to be living close to three of the 10! Other people in here are correct, the video doesn't do any of the cities justice, but there's only so much that can be seen in such a short video.
The Sunshine Coast doesn't call themselves a city, but it is an amalgamation of the Shires of Maroochy and Noosa, and the City of Caloundra. So they probably could call themselves a city. The video showed very little of Sydney, apart from some brief glimpses and distant views. But I guess it was OK if you like big yachts and surfing.
All the sailing boats in Sydney Harbour look to be the Sydney to Hobart race that is on Boxing day at Christmas time. In general there's always sailing boats in the harbour but generally smaller ones not racing boats like these.
All the boats look like it could be the start of the Sydney to Hobart Yacht race... happens every year starting boxing day, I think, in Sydney and ending in Hobart (Tasmania) a few days later... Big race for yachting enthusiasts. Newcastle: My city in my opinion is the best in the whole country.... everything is no more than 30 mins away, Hunter Valley wines, snow on Barrington Tops in winter, 13 best beachs all within 5-15 mins, international acts at our beautiful Civic Theatre or our entertainment centre or open air theatre in the vineyards.. Biggest and best saltwater lake, biggest in southern hemisphere, 120kls around.... much less traffic than Sydney but only 1.5 hrs drive to there if you must go. The building in Canberra you asked about is out Parliament House. The name on the top is the city name and under is the state/territory name.
Hobart? Both Wollongong and Geelong are larger than Hobart. Sunshine Coast is an "Urban Region", as is the Gold Coast. Listing the actual "Top 10 Cities" by population, it is: Melbourne Sydney Brisbane Perth Adelaide Newcastle Canberra Wollongong Geelong Hobart.
So Sydney to Perth is like Philly to LA... Yes Perth is very isolated but amazing. I am from Melbourne (the most liveable city) while I must say that Sydney is the most scenic but can be a pain to travel through (I am biased). Great reaction. Find a video where they rate the cities... I have seen them. The names under the city names are the States .. there are 6 states and 2 smaller population territories.
They are boat sheds in Melbourne. People own them and they are are pretty pricey because you effectively own a piece of the beach. There's no real risk of storms because they are only on the protected bay beaches. Melbourne for me- I've lived here 66 of my 68 years.
I think fair to point out that a country town called Canberra is probably our 7th largest city, with only about 400,000 residents.......but many of these are not really residents. As our Federal Capital City placed way out in the sticks, the pollies call it home until voted out and thousands of public service personal fly in Sunday night ( or early Monday morning ) for work, then fly home Friday aftrrnoon or sooner. Generally speaking, we have " large " country towns and cities that Americans would call a truck stop or hicksville. We also add farming families to the population figures that are an hours drive from town in a very fast car, or might even be an hours flight from town. We have towns that are only one pub and one petrol station but listed as 1 or more hundred population. From some you might see one or 2 farm houses from the main road, or none at all. lol

The boats sailing are starting the Sydney to Hobart Ocean Racing Classic started on December 26 every year
I can’t believe how little Americans know about other countries.
Why would they? Americans think they’re the best so why would they care about anywhere else?

It’s really from a Tourism perspective I think. You really need to live in a City for a few years to appreciate its charms.
NOT A GOOD VID ABOUT OZZ
It is odd to not show cities at night, that is obviously when they look better.
I've seen better videos that show cities in better detail...this video sux and doesn't do our country any justice in showing our best atmospheres

I am glad they had Newcastle on this clip. I live in Newy and it is one of the most beautiful places. The beaches are awesome.
me too
They included a little of the Lake Macquarie area too.
Australia is absolutely beautiful. So proud to be an Aussie, I live in the luckiest country in the world. I'm so blessed❤❤❤

Australia = Paradise.

It’s the Sydney to Hobart yacht race held on Boxing Day (that’s the day after Christmas Day for Commonwealth countries) each year. An Aussie tradition at Christmas time.

Beach boxes are privately owned and very sought after. Great for a day at the beach with barbies, showers etc.
From East to West across Australia, is about the same as East to West in the USA. It's a big island!
I laugh when Americans say that the animals are dangerous in Oz. We don't have bears, wolves or felines.
We may not have them but we have crocs , snakes, great whites , dingo's (only for babies ) and the deadliest of all, our infamous Drop Bears
We do have felines, what do you think a fox is.
I think that a fox belongs to the Canidae family. That means a fox is part of the dog family.
@@kirra72 tbh I was wrong sorry I’ve been lied to all my life lol, I never googled it until now it said foxes are canines.

😉🇦🇺
They're actually called the Brighton Beach Bathing Boxes - not beach houses.
@@megbond Even the ones on the Mornington Peninsula? 🤔🤷♂️
Gold Coast and sunny coast are cities?
@@newbris I wrote they're not cities, but regions.
@@MimBellthey are cities though
The Sunshine Coast is not a city - it's about 100kms long and includes many cities in it.
Agree 100 per cent, I love my hometown Melbourne ❤❤❤❤
Brisbane to Perth is 5 hours 40 mins by plane which is slightly longer than LA to New York.
Favorite cities
1 Perth
2 Hobart
3 Melbourne [because my daughter lives there....]
6:51 that scene you went nuts over is thousands of kilometres north of Perth.... You can only get there by boat or seaplane....
Yes, the Horizontal Falls - absolutely magnificent!
@@joewalsh3404 Yes, but the video suggested it was in or near Perth…. 🙄
I grew up in Perth. Most remote city in the world but a great city to grow up in.
I have visited every one of those other city's except Hobart and can honestly Perth is my favourite.
All those little houses are called beach boxes. They are used as places to relax at the beach and get changed before swimming.
Australia can deal with ‘creatures’ and most beaches have safe flagged areas, shark watching planes etc.
Melbourne (Melb'n)
Brisbane (brisb'n)
Canberra (canbra')
Little houses on the beach are beach boxes people store their summer beach gear. Can cost half to around a million bucks.
Correction on one of them it's Brisvegas . haha
They have stopped those ride for now, because of the danger.
You two beautiful people need to come to Australia, not just because you are showing Oz in this clip but we need to adopt you both and claim you as Australian for your heart and shining beauty ( and reviews of our music of course )
AUSTRALIA is paradise compared to many but warning
TAXES and crazy house prices are the negatives
We don’t spend our lives fending off dangerous animals. Most of us live in cities anyway. And we don’t get concerned about gun death either !
On Brighton beach they are called bathing boxes, small sheds that the owners sit in on hot sunny days
Local Canberra boy here! The capital of Australia and a really good place to live 😊
"In keeping with the notion that the people of our nation are more important than the politicians and they exist to serve the people"...Yeah I'm still trying to figure out what happened with that! lol🤔
Didn't the pollies decide to fence it all off so that people can't walk on the grass areas?...🤔
@@grandy2875 I know for a time it was 'In the interests of National Security', but I think you can do it now.
@@planetcountryradio8622 Hmm yes,.. politicians do get nervous round grassy knolls.😎
3:53 It's very much an event: the Sydney-to-Hobart yacht race that is run every year on Boxing Day.
Boxing day being the next day after xmas
Cheers!
Adelaide South Australia born & bred ❤
I'm in the western suburbs of Sydney. Right at the foot of the Blue Mountains. 😎
Im from UK but live in Adelaide now.
I', in Perth. Good spot. But they are all pretty good spots.
The building in Canberra is the Australian Parliament building. Names underneath are the State names like you would say Cincinatti, Ohio.
Howdy Travis & Susy,
Re: Little Houses on the beach in Melbourne …
> I’d say they’re probably the vibrant, multi-coloured beach huts in Brighton that lie along its shore. They were built more than 100 years ago & were set up so ladies could change into their swimwear in privacy.
Re: Text Titles…
> The above larger text was the name of the city & underneath in smaller font was the name of the State or Territory.
Re: Fave City: Perth
> Grew up in Sydney.
Not everywhere has roads, though there are plenty, some places you need permission to go to.
so glad to see our American cousins taking an interest in our little Paradise. Thank YOU
Just an aside, you were asking about Australian divas, in an earlier post. Check out "I honestly love you", by Dami Im, Wendy Mathews, Samantha Jade and Katie Noonan. It's an Olivia Newton John song these ladies recorded in tribute after the death of our "Livy".
Wolf Hunterz. Canberra is the capital of Australia. It's a great place to live. Very clean and easy to get around.
I'm from Adelaide South Australia yes that was a Golf course
They always say recommend us a video but leave out that it costs an arm and a leg like these two are actually famous.
Fun fact, we train the sharks to only attack tourists!
😂😂
the titles are cities and State/Territory they are located in.
The names in each section is top name is the city, the bottom name is the state or territory. We have 6 states and 2 territories
Those boats were starting the Sydney to Hobart (capital of the state of Tasmania)yacht race, it starts on boxing day. The race goes for days.
I moved from the Gold Coast in Queensland to southern Tasmania. OMG I love it so much here in Tassie. Yet I would say there are positives to anywhere in Australia. Definitely worth a visit if you can ever get here
We Have Everything That Will Bite You & Eat You😃Dont Get Chomped & You Will Have The Time Of Your Life☝️🧡
A lot more to see outside the big cities in my opinion.
I like Melbourne but my husband likes Adelaide. Which where I live it's a 7 hour drive to Melbourne and 5 hour drive to Adelaide.
Adelaide girl here ❤❤
The sail boats in Sydney Harbour is the start of the Sydney to Hobart yat race, starting on Boxing Day (December 26) & the other tall sail boat in Hobart was probably the winner of the race.
Nice!
It's actually the 4th most isolated city in the world. What you mean is Perth is the most isolated state capital in the world. Iquito, Peru is number 1.
Wollongong is the third-largest city in New South Wales (after Sydney and Newcastle) and the tenth-largest city in Australia by population.
Yes, I was disappointed they didn’t include Wollongong. The Sunshine Coast isn’t even a city. It’s a region.
@@miniveedub Exactly! I’ve recently moved from Sydney to Wollongong and I’m lovin’ it.
they got that wrong sunshine coast isnt even a city
Just a small point - no one provokes a large shark - you usually never even see it until you get bitten….and then it’s too late 😮
Melbourne ❤
Melbourne sucks and I am born and bred there. Planning on moving to WA when the kids are off our hands and we can afford it.
We are pretty safe down here...
Chances of a creature gettn ya is only like 50:50!
You'll be right🤣👍🇦🇺
The Building in the Canberra shot... is the Parliament House. Canberra is the Australian Capital Territory of Australia.
"Them little houses" are worth a million bucks+ each!
No way!!!!! But whyyyyy?
Melbourne born & raised baby! 🔥
“What kind of creatures living there”
😅 we are mermaids and mermen, living in the actual Atlantis.
They did not show Darwin for some reason, Perth is the most isolated city in the world, so isolated, that rain has hard time finding the place.
Nice job!
I live in Melbourne. I love it.
aussie has the same dimensions as the usa
The boat scene is during the Sydney to Hobart yacht race done every year on Boxing day
All the sailing boats in Sydney Harbour look to be the Sydney to Hobart race that is on Boxing day at Christmas time.
Listing the actual "Top 10 Cities" by population, it is:
Melbourne
Sydney
Brisbane
Perth
Adelaide
Newcastle
Canberra
Wollongong
Geelong
Hobart.
Gold Coast is a city with a city council.
Didn't include Darwin, Geelong, Wollongong, Alice Springs or Central Coast ?!
You two are a lot of fun. Nice teeth too.
They are boat sheds in Melbourne. People own them and they are are pretty pricey because you effectively own a piece of the beach. There's no real risk of storms because they are only on the protected bay beaches. Melbourne for me- I've lived here 66 of my 68 years.
The thing at the end was The Nut at Stanley…at the other end of Tasmania nowhere near Hobart!
From some you might see one or 2 farm houses from the main road, or none at all. lol
Street art is a major feature of Melbourne. Sydney is no longer the biggest city. Melbourne has taken over that spot.
