I'm having issues with this at the moment even when I am telling people to not share. The thing that sucks, is some people can hide themselves when they share your posts.
What if they've already posted it? Does disabling the share button delete my posts from their posts? 🤔 Or limiting the viewing get rid of it from theirs? Thanks. Edit: Ahh.. nothing's working .. .
If I open fb and go to my saved photos and post under “ what’s on your mind “ that has stopped people from being able to share. Although they can still screenshot it and share that way.
No share button disable is terrible. Yes, you can obviously turn your post "off" so that only you can see it, but that pretty much defeats the purpose of posting anything in the first place unless you're sandboxing it. Much of the time, I want a post to be restricted to my friends. All of them. But there are often reasons I don't want one of those posts to go out to the whole world by one of those friends sharing it. Perhaps this was a business decision on the part of Facebook, though I can't imagine how it helps them. Or, maybe they just thought adding a share button disable would be a needless complication.
That’s an interesting idea! Having a separate 'share' option might make it easier to control how posts are shared. Unfortunately, Facebook doesn’t currently offer that feature. In the meantime, you can use the privacy settings to limit who can see and share your posts. Go to your post’s privacy settings and select 'Friends' or 'Only Me' to control who can view and share your content. Hope that helps!
It's not good that FB won't allow you to stop sharing. There's just one video I don't want people to share. It's only viewable to my friends and that's fine, but I don't want it shared around all and sundry. I will have to delete it.
Hi Ron! Unfortunately, Facebook doesn’t currently show who shares your posts. To limit sharing, you can adjust the privacy settings of your posts by selecting ‘Friends’ or ‘Only Me’ before posting. This will help control who can see and share your content.
@@TrevorNace Thanks, I appreciate your helpful response. The only place I care about is a fb group from my hometown with about 5000 in the group. I shake my head when I see people can share my posts and I don’t even know who does it. When I do know who shares it I just give them a like. Anyway, it’s not a big deal. Thanks again.
I understand your concern, Ron. especially in a large group like that. It can be frustrating not knowing who shares your posts. While Facebook doesn’t currently show who shares posts, adjusting your privacy settings for future posts might help you maintain better control. 😊🙏
Kinda sucks that Facebook doesn't allow me to disable the share button, as an artist sharing my work on Facebook this option is a necessity now.

Same here
Same
Why didn't you just say you can't prevent people sharing your posts from the beginning! Thaks useful vedio 👍👍
It doesn't work. There is no edit privacy
So this wasn’t always how it was! There are many people that have a messenger icon instead of the share. Explain that please..
BUT I see on some posts that there is NO SHARE ↗️ icon and the post is obviously visible to friends or public. SO THERE IS A WAY!
So how come I see other people's posts and it don't have a share button on I don't get it
I just posted the same question! It can be done, I’ll ask someone that had no share button next time I see one and I’ll let you know 🥰🦜
The poster may have privacy settings that doesn't allow sharing.
@@TrevorNaceWhat privacy settings 🤔 I also used to have no sharing just message but I don't know what happened 🤔
@@TrevorNaceHow do you do that? I would like to know.
But there are post that i can see post by other users with no share button how did they do that

How then do I not have the option to share people’s posts?
Kind of a waste of time watching this then, and your time making it??
They should make just "share option" separately

so... the real answer is no.. there is no way to stop people from sharing... whats the point of a photo on facebook if no one sees it?

I wish they can disable one post.
Yes Anna, that would be super helpful! Hopefully, Facebook adds that feature in the future. 😊
How to stop people from sharing post on facebook. You can’t. You should have type that and made a post on Facebook so I could share it.
It makes me mad that other people can share it, and I can’t even see who it was that shared it 😠
