Welcome to my guide on how to get all the important relics via trading in Secret of Evermore. I realized the internet was lacking a visual step-by-step guide...until now! I hope you find it useful.

SupaPixelGirl yo get Kik to lol u have all but like 2
Chocobo egg? Magic gourd? Staff of life?
Chocobo Egg can be acquired in Nobila Market. Ceramic Pots randomly contain items in them that can be found when bought from Pot lady
The guy next to spoon lady will trade the egg for a Magic Gourd, the magic gourd does absolutely nothing its simply "collector". You can re-aquire the egg later if you do this.
There is also the Tug Cloak and staff of life but they are not really trades so Google them :)
Just out of curiosity: what are the benefits of doing the trade sequence before getting your dog back?
You have such a pleasant voice, always enjoy hearing it.
"How they discovered this before the internet".
Developers would, at that time, often put secrets in their game that were completely unintuitive, but were often shown in detail in official game strategy guides. As Rex rightly pointed out in Toy Story 2, they made it so players could only discover every secret in the game if they purchased the overpriced game guides.
The Secret series wasn't the worst offender of this sort of outside-game force purchasing. Sierra was WAY worse, as they didn't release strategy guides, but rather released a 900 phone number with each game, a "Help Line". What young players were unaware of was that the 900 calls billed your phone bill by the minute, and Sierra's menu system was designed, fully automated mind you, to keep you on the phone for as long as possible. The automated prompts spoke slowly, and the menus were poorly described, meaning that you often spent several minutes on the phone at any given time just for a hint for one area. And Sierra knew this. They designed the game specifically to be completely unplayable in many cases without the help line, including but not limited to one game involving doing something to a rat in the first 20 minutes of gameplay, and if you didn't(you were free not to), the game became completely unbeatable.
It's said that the World Wide Web killed Sierra. Sierra sent several cease and desist letters to creators of walkthroughs of their games, as did several other developers who profited off of this extortion scheme, but ultimately, the internet won. Sales of game walkthrough books are way down, and are largely sold solely as collectors' items for shelves, and the 900 hint lines are long dead. Sierra themselves folded under their own incompetence after the 900 lines closed, after making a spate of poor business decisions involving acting as the publishing house for several poorly selling games across the board.
this is SO fascinating! I think Gaming Historian or Roses should do a video on this!!
Thank you! Also, by the way, it's me, Fishy. :)
An elightening read. Thank you. And I agree, this could be a whole video on its own.
Your voice is so pleasant to listen to, and I really appreciate the time you’ve taken to go through all of this!
Just picked up the SNES classic and added this game through modding. Thank you for this guide. It is amazing. I haven’t played this since t first came out. I’m 34 now and couldn’t have done these trades without your help.
Returned to this game and could not remember the trading layout.
5 years later and this is still one of the better guides for navigating this bazaar.
I played it last spring. It was a very nostalgic run and found it very fun.
Could also note that buying ceramic pots repeatedly can get you a chocobos egg randomly from inside one, if you don't already have it. Thus trading the one you get when buying the first amulet of annihilation (10k jewels) away for a magic gourd can be beneficial if your trying to collect everything, but the magic gourd is in fact glitched and doesn't actually do anything . Also in the next world (Gothica) any traded charms can be bought from the smaller trade market thus getting back the silver sheath, chocobo egg, etc
Now on a personal note, I've been a fan of evermore since it came out, I've played the game through many times. I never knew that Not turning the prophet into something nets a reward. (I got the centurian cape, seems to be whatever the armor lady is trading.) So thank you for that.
This guide makes the trading sequence much faster easier btw so thank you for making it. :-)
SPG at it again with the tips. You are the GAME GENIE of our lives. You are awesome gal. ☺🤠
SPG great video! I feel like playing my copy of SoE when I get home :)
Even though I don't see myself playing this anytime soon (I'm booked on JRPGs) you went into thorough detail with this guide. Well done.
Thank you very much! I was getting really crazy with this market. So cryptic and tiring! Also there's that thing about not knowing which's more useful, will be available later in the game, etc. I was lost with FAQs and written guides as well. This deserved a visual guide straight to the point. Good work!
Thank you so much. I always had trouble trying to figure this out way back when. This is easily the most comprehensive and well explained guide for this nightmare. Subscribed
Subbed to your channel because this was such an enjoyable guide. Thaaaank yoooooooooouuuuuu!
I love your voice absolutely amazing and you do the trading guide so so very well!!!!! Yes indeed I Love the music in Secret Of Evermore as well!!!
This was great! I was thinking of picking up a physical copy of SoE again after so long and I remember spending hours as a kid doing trying to figure out this long market trading sequence. It's a shame nothing like your guide was out a decade ago! :) Nice work.
I did not know about that hidden stash as a kid lol
I loved the market so much though. I was always sad when there was nothing left to buy. Wanted to keep finding secret items to uncover and buy, I'd scrub this place clean before and after the boss event
so cool your tiny voice is so accurate 😄 many thanks for the guide! :D
You are so vigilant on the grinds for each item. I love it. :) ♥️♥️♥️
Loved your impression of Tiny
I remember this scene, when I was a kid I drew a map of all the trades with arrows going everywhere. Veey fun to puzzle it out.
another dope video.thanks.I think I'm a start this game over the weekend and this will def help
Hey, glad to see u again. I missed ya.
3:13 SupaPixelGirl, master negotiator :) Awesome video, as usual!

7:02 Good save!
thanks for making this! I was dreading trying to remember what to do as I haven't played this since I was a teenager but came across it again. Cheers!
Thank you so much for this! SoE content is so scarce on RUclips. So sad because I love this game.
Always love your work and hope you keep it up
Very useful video! Thanks a lot❤
Most of the time, whenever I get closer to Ivor Tower I would usually have this much trading stuff besides 5 Amulets.
Rice: 60
Golden Jackals: 5
Jeweled Scarabs: 5
Perfume: 20
Beads: 40
Spice: 36
I adore your love for SNES jrpgs. Currently revisiting this and reliving my childhood. Great guide. I hated this market when I was like 12.
Great video as always! I love it. Thank you
Secret Of Evermore Rocks!!
Thank you so much! Super helpful :)
This is gonna be helpful on my next play through.
when l see this l see how Final Fantasy games first began my favorite was Final Fantasy 7
Great stuff as always
This is a good video. If playing the game for the first time
This was SO helpful. I love you. Thanks.
SPG knows her hustle.
love this game so much i still play it today! and iam proud to say... you didnt show me anything new^^ good video 2 thumps up just for you!!!
I just wanna point something out even though you don't post on here anymore.
The Magic Gourd does have a function - it quintuples Jewels found in Ceramic pots. It does not tell you this. There is no notification. But it does.
To anyone finding this, you probably want to either kill me or hug me for solving a 25 year old mystery and posting it with no fanfare at all - but Supa was the ONLY youtuber that fulfilled my request to play this game when she was playing Mana, and for that I believe that her video deserves the prestige of the end of the mystery.
Oh also, Press Y to spare the Prophet after you get all the armor. EZ Thug's Cloak at the Coliseum.
P.P.S. - Hope you're still doing awesome, SN!
i really want to get this game and sng made me want to play it thanks :D
Thank you for this! Just curious, but where did you figure this all out from? I've seen a few text guides, but none of them are that great.
i know this video is months old but there is a secret to getting stuff in the coloseum if you can trade for the armor pieces fast enough as well as geting the chocobo egg and suchlike from the mad monk in crustacia.
pretty solid video, good stuff :)
Thank you, the first time that I came to this section of the game, it was absolutely bewildering! How on earth would anyone figure any of this out before the internet?
You don't have to do the whirlwind, but it's way cheaper to do so.
Also, I remember having a game guide that talked about the whirlwind back before the internet was a thing.
Nice and thanks, but the Jaguar Ring is not obtained throu this market process xD
Thank you very much!
Super helpful!
Thank you for such a great guide!
Thanks for the help ! Btw u have a awesome voice ! 😁
*Hey, thanks!*

Hey Supa, how do you get the Chocobo Egg in the marketplace?
Nvrmind, found it in Ivor Tower West Alley, cheers!
When is the next episode? When I played this game for the 4th or 5th time, I started with a virtual vest. I was invincible throughout the game.
How did you start the game with that?! the next episode will be in a few days
SupaPixelGirl a long time ago I used to use game genie codes. You could also play with 2 players with codes. This game is incredible.
i don't know how i had the patience for this game before utube and the internet lol thanks for the guilde you saved me about an hr. what about the chocobo egg?
I interact with the “nutcase” at 7:00 but don’t get the “this is a video game” dialogue??
I had to get the dog 👍
What major item you missing?? I’m at the end of the game now. About 95%. Missed lance and speed alchemy and magic gourd.
Trust the process before Pistons did
At ~2:47 why do you suggest buying two spoons?
because you need two spoons for trading
SupaPixelGirl so why do you buy only 1 spoon?
Your so cool
No ps4 or xbox1? Wat consoles do u have?
Im in love :)
For the deal dealing annihilation amulets you should barter him down to 15 bags of rice because if you make him down down less then that he won't trade with you again & you need some for the other market at ivor tower. You really screwed yourself for doing this. Also, it doesn't matter if you trade away things like the moxa stick or some of the other charms you get here because you can get them back at the ivor tower market.
Can't confirm this but I would take this into consideration. I did not screw my self though - this is a good walkthrough
From a text guide: "When you buy the Annihilation Amulets from the merchant at the Nobilia market, when he offers one for 30 bags of rice, refuse and he'll lower the price to 15 bags of rice. Always buy them for this price as if you go any lower he won't sell you any more."
What happened with the rock? I want to know 😅
😄
The coolest Guide amongst all the Games I happened to watch in my Life!
