That Black Panther table was EVERYTHING!!!! 💜💜 I would’ve bought that in a second and use the top as wall art
Omg, Hi Yvon, I ❤️ your channel!
I agree. Love that panther top!
I was thinking the same, if it doesn't sell as a table that is exactly what I plan to do!
It's hilarious. I remember when that stuff was a standard thing in economy furniture stores.
yes..the top would be the saving grace..remove the ugly pressboard.
Let's get all share George's Videos to our friends and coworkers ! 😊
So appreciated!
Personally, as a little girl in the 60s who got one of those beautiful black lacquered boxes when my dad returned from a trip to the Orient, I didn’t think it was cheesy at all. It was the prettiest and most elegant jewelry box ever. It went with me around the world. 60 years later, my son has talked me into giving it to him, and it takes pride of place in his home. It still plays. All of the boxes I have seen like it play ethnic oriental tunes. When the drum in the cubby is clean and is fully wound, it’s beautiful, with harmonies that other music boxes can’t touch.
It’s so neat that what honestly was a cheap import has become prized as a memory! The music was delightful, and the boxes are now scarce because they weren’t prized and were mistreated
i love the way u 2 r with each other ,so sweet and great manners love lissoning to u talk
🎵" Hey Mr. Tambourine Man, play a song for me "🎵 Endlessly fascinating life George!
I have had some adventures! I'm glad you had fun hearing them
W O W, you are moving in on 80K subscribers!! Terrific, George 🎈 🎈
It's hard to believe but I'm happy people want to share this with me!
We sold those plastic bead reindeer and Santas as a fund raiser for Girl Scouts back in the mid 70's. I think they were $1.00.
Yes! I remember you could even buy kits and do them in the oven (moms were not big fans of that)
You definitely need a basket or a bag to carry around what you've found.
How do I not ever remember that? lol
There are nylon ones that roll up and would fit in your fanny pack
I had a toy iron like that with an ironing board and a little sewing machine that worked by turning a wheel. I think Santa was trying to domesticated me.
Lol I'm sure! I got an Erector set one year, I had no interest in mechanical things and it just looked like a lot of work to me
Hahahahahahahaha!!!!
Enjoyed the short show. Thank you for bringing us along. Both of you look extremely cool in your glasses ❤️
Brian May collects stereoscopic cards and has released a few books on the subject. Omg the panther table is so bad its amazing, Great video.
Oh how cool! I didn't know that about him. I agree, the panther table was so kitschy and of its era, I couldn't resist!
Hi George really enjoy your videos and knowledgeon stuff. Like you there's not much I haven't seen going to yardsales, thrift shops, flea markets, swap meets and even trash piles most of my life. 60 yrs. I love it all and collect what I like and am always hunting. That's really what it's all about the hyes. God bless. -Rhett
Hi, Rhett! We sound like kindred spirits. I imagine there's a few new things left for us to find, that's what keeps me going! Happy hunting
I would have been here for the live chat, but I didn't sleep until 6:00 a.m.
I sometimes get wired and am up like that too, it was hard enough on 6 hours sleep to get up and do the flea market!
70's kid here.
Thank you for this tour , George ! ❤
My pleasure!!
Hi George, please visit the Albemarle Marketplace in Albemarle, North Carolina this Fall. You won't be disappointed! 🍂😊🍁🧡
I would love to get to the Carolinas! I'm afraid my dance card is pretty full this year. Does it happen again in Spring?
Love George I learn so so much from you and your channel. Your partner is great at video taping not so much on comments
What a great video! You have taught me so much- very grateful for your knowledge and willingness to share.
That is so great and the point of my channel, good to hear! Thanks
I like the Blackcat coffee table could always reinforce it with some other type of coffee table bottom, but that black lacquer is back coming back popular again
You're right! I can't wait to show that off somewhere
Love Rudolph and drum.
Those were fun!
I know i've left a few cimments, but i had to say...i can't tell you how many times i've watered my feet with those very same weeping gold candle sticks 🤣
Lol yes indeed
We are vendors at the Newfane Flea Market in Newfane Vermont on Sundays 9am-2pm. It just reopened this year after years of being closed. Used to be elbow to elbow back in the day.✌🏻💚✌🏻💚
I hope people are finding it again! Some really rebounded fast and others are having a slow recovery
I love harker ware cameo
Me too, clever way to add design
I love watching you guys. You're awesome!
I missed this live, but watched replay. Enjoyed it as usual! I love the table with the panther.
I’m excited right now. I actually get to do a road trip of my own. Driving from Oklahoma to the Oregon coast in a few hours! 🥰🥰👍
Oh fun! That's an interesting route
Going through here next month on a Tuesday, I guess we are stopping! thanks! You are an abundance of info!
Glad to help!
“Double Deckers” was a British kids show in 60s/70s
Oh cool! Thank you, I had never heard of that one
I ironed handkerchiefs with my toy electric ironing board, and iron.
They really work!
You look like Ricky Ricardo w/ the drum, George 🤣 Zeno, as we Kentuckians say, "you ain't sugar, you won't melt" as far as the rain goes! Ya' know, some people look better in front of the camera, & some look better behind, lol!
Ha! I love that expression. Another viewer sent me a link to Babalu after seeing this lol
Hey hope you find some goodies
The phone table was amazing. Never knew those had existed. I liked the painting of the trees behind it. At 1:13:42, the handmade boat was neat. The Doberman needed water!!
Fyi, i am in a slight panic this afternoon because my Level 3 marking has disappeared. I can't see them on others, either, though.
I'm not sure why that would be! DId you change your card?
@@TheAntiqueNomadLive No, no change in card. I will ask my bank if everything is ok.
Don't forget you were going to going back to a vendor.
Lol that's right! I think we did remember after we shut off the camera
I want to wrap your buys and put them in a sturdy bag for you. 🤣
I think I've heard Dr. Lori say that you should always try for a lower price! I agree with you through...
I need to bring a cart and bags, you're right!
As for Dr. Lori, I disagree because I lost the chance to buy a Platinum necklace worth hundreds at a sterling price because I asked for a discount...so then they looked it over and saw their mistake and refused to sell it to me. I should've just paid the $60, which was a steal! So no, I do not agree with her, if it's a good deal just be thankful and take it!
@@TheAntiqueNomadLiveYep, agreed! Sometimes pay the price and run with it. 😂
I used to go to this flea in the ‘70’s with Daddy. Haven’t been since I returned to Kentucky 🤔‼️
Thank you for the tour!
Very cool! I'm glad we could take you there again
I used to be a professional photographer. We had one of those WELT stands with the telescopic legs. It was used for holding slide projectors for presentations. We usually stacked 2 on top connected to a computer. We also had a couple of the WELT tripods. They were great because they were lightweight & the bottom of the legs were sealed so you could set them up in water. We acquired ours in the late 80's early 90's so I guess that's vintage now! lol
Good to know! I'm not sure I ever noticed them but I bet I've been around them
Remember your panther table 😉😂
I got it! Lol
George, why do you let that guy bully you. You're the talent.
I felt the need for more guidance early on in the filming department
@TheAntiqueNomadLive , I have so much respect for you, the way you do business, your generosity of spirit, your absolute professionalism. I've also noticed he thinks sexual innuendo is funny, and I worry about the adverse effect it could have on your relationship with RUclips. I am working my way through all your videos. Cheapest education a person can get. I've learned so much. Thank you!!!
Can’t wait to wait tonight ..
Hey ya'll I missed the live but watched it this afternoon really enjoyed it u guys are so sweet
The new owner in the big metal bldg, the White Elephant, i believe, bought the brothers out & is priced retail.
It is priced retail, you're right--and I'm glad you explained they bought what was left because some looked familiar
My son had the plastic garage thing as a child years ago
The top of the table is great. The buyer even can upgrade the bottom with real wood.
That would help! Or hang it on the wall...
Redwoodcity CA near me! The cast iron hanging basket I would buy. It's unique.
looked like so much fun! The panther table is so cool
Thanks! I thought so too
You're better than most of scripted television.
That's really a compliment! I think people are enjoying the spontaneity
curling memorabilia trinket dish
That actually makes sense! I hadn't thought of it because of it being open
Hello George been following you for a long time. I noticed when you say hi to your viewers you don't seem to acknowledge the ones that just learned from you not just customers we're all here watching you and learning thank you for all you do God bless your adventures in life
I'm so sorry! I absolutely don't mean to forget those who "just watch", I honestly am more interested in sharing information and teaching, customers grow out of that naturally without effort but it's more about sharing the joy whether people are shoppers or not
Is the mud dauber extra? I loved that car set when I was little! Playing cars with my friend Matthew was the best! Poor guy with the fobs, etc was sure trying hard to get your business.
Where is your booth in Snohomish? I have a booth in Victoria Village and I would love to visit yours. I’m on the hunt for mcm lamps, pottery and more. I really enjoy watching your videos. Thank you for all the knowledge you share with us. I recently went to Auburn Antique Mall the day after watching your video there. I really enjoyed spending hours there with my daughter. I bought a Manuel Garcia Arroyo red pottery pitcher and vintage brass tongs.
Oh neat! My Snohomish booth is currently on sale at 40% off, I am using it to clear old stock right now but it was full when I left. I'm #125 in Star Center Mall, 829 2nd St.
I meant Aurora Antique Mall, oops!
I did not catch it live, but viewed it later. Wish the film quality was better. A bit grainy. I learn so much from George. Thank you!
Yes, we do too...the reception there is variable and unfortunately it makes it less than stellar
Laura's Theme
I never can remember that name for some reason!
So strange. This posted 14 hrs ago but am just getting it. I will get a new phone later this month.
I have that phone table
💐 💐 💐
My daughter inherited a full set of the Fostoria American that's sitting on shelves in a basement. Her paternal great-grandparents used it pretty often and took good care of it and it's cool to see it in their old photos actually being used. If anyone knows, did they sell it all individually at the time? Or could you buy sets with multiple pieces?
They left her a nice set of china too that I hope she uses. She's still a teenager now so...😂 Not too interested yet.
As a teen it means little but once she has a house it’ll be that thing she didn’t have to buy and she’ll be glad to have it. I believe they sold starter sets
@@TheAntiqueNomadLive She's actually started watching your videos with me after hearing them playing and asking what I was watching, so maybe it won't take her as long to appreciate it. I got my blacklight out and showed her some of my old pieces that fluoresce and that got her attention, too, so now when we're thrifting she scans the glassware and finds pieces that look like they may have uranium. There's my tips for getting younger people interested: your videos, and uranium glass are the gateways to vintage and antiques. 😆
i have a switch i love it and i am 67
New sub! Liked 👍😍🙂
Thanks for the sub! Please tell your friends
Hi
Finder's Keeper's has Fenton shoes
Excellent I'll look I need an azure blue Fenton cat shoe
@@TheAntiqueNomadLive He has a lot of vintage glass. I don't know what # they are, but he happens to be located across the aisle from my new big booth in the center of the mall if that helps.
how about Mayberry with Barney Fife
Lol yes sometimes. He was from West Virginia, actually!
Mr camera man please be nice!
He gets a little excited when he has an idea what he wants to film and I have a different idea lol
Is that your brother videoing? His voice sounds like yours!
Coincidence, people say we sound a lot alike though!
Do they sell things like on eBay
I live in washington state. don't talk about rain
Oh, I do my time there in the rain too!
When are you selling at Renningers next??
I'll be selling at the Jan. and Feb. 2023 Extravaganzas!
@@TheAntiqueNomadLive I’ll be there!
😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
I'm not sure if this is the correct platform for this question, do you guys go to haunted houses and other spooky adult activities? PS, I'M A 62 YO WOMAN WHO HAS REDISCOVERED MY ENTHUSIASM FOR HALLOWEEN WATHING U 2 ON RUclips, 😊THANKS
*hunt*
xeno always argues and tries to catch you out it makes for very awkward viewing!😅
He's still learning what sells and what works for me...I sometimes find his suggestions lead me to success with something I wouldn't have considered, but sometimes I just have to say no
You're wearing flip flops. Don't your feet hurt at the end of the day?😊
The Panther piece was horrible
Lol
It's hardly sprinkling. Items I understand that you don't want to get wet but your camera guy not wanting to be sprinkled on,,,.is he made of sugar? Lol
We had new equipment and he wasn't sure of its waterproofness...we've learned since what it can handle
@@TheAntiqueNomadLive
That makes sense.
Camera man is a little “tart” with George. Hard to listen to sometimes.
It's an interesting dynamic, I realize sometimes it's brusque but I have to admit that I like the challenge of having to really explain things I'm doing so he (and everyone else) knows the rationale behind my choices
