Laverne is a beautiful color. A couple of shades lighter than Ernie. Shirley is in a plural arrangement. Letting the others know shes there, so is her daughter. Plus she has the fiesty Auntie on her side with Annie.

It's not a dumb question. Shared mothering does happen occasionally but not always. Usually the mothers are twins though... Shirley Bird and Meg do not have a family connection like that. Along with the fact that this is Shirley's first kid, odds are she wouldn't allow another kid on her bag.
Currently, if the baby goat is black, that's Meg's litter and daddy is Ringo for all. And Shirley had Laverne a week after the Golden Girl's were born. So all the youngest kid's will be Ringo's last kid's. We're just waiting on Freckles now, and kidding season will be over. Then comes all the bottle feeding. To acclimate the animals to being handled frequently, you start training them to accept human touching as a very good thing.
To the best of my knowledge, Ringo is the father of all of this season's kids. In the future, should they need more goats, they will have to use another billy. Possibly, PawPaw's billy (goat, not to be confused with PawPaw's bull, Billy!)😉 This way it expands the gene pool.
