- We updated the combine with 360 Yield Center Chain Rolls to break up the corn residue. I spotted an issue with one of my soybean fields where it's got damage from the sprayer.

How Farms Work by Ryan Kuster is a RUclips channel based in rural Potosi, Wisconsin. Our mission is to teach those who didn't grow up on a farm what the farming life is like. These videos show the Kuster family working together raising cattle and crops. We believe everyone who wants to know more about farming should be able to share the farming experience with us and we look to educate the world on many essential agriculture topics.
How Farms Work takes place on ~1,100 acres with around 75-200 cattle at any given time. Four John Deere tractors are currently used on the farm, which are a 4020, 4640, 7600, and 8235R.

I really enjoy seeing the maintenance side of farming it puts a new perspective on the big picture on top of being educational my G Dad was a farmer and I miss being around the equipment and riding with him especially in the combine during corn harvest that was always my favorite I can remember getting off the school bus tossing everything down and running through the field to get in the combine just watching the header pull the corn in always looked like they were dancing and it was fun to watch
Its interesting the use of drones for agricultrical work, and documentation. Those rollers should chew up the stalks better. Love to see the residue at harvest and then in the spring.
Jeez that Travis guy from The rest of the story really took over the beginning of the video. Lol. Was nice seeing the whole family helping to get the shed organized
Hey Ryan thanks for the update those new rollers should do a great job on the corn stalks. Glad the sprayer people are going to help you out on the beans. Take care and have a great week 👍🇺🇸
Another nice video!!. Thanks for the update on the crops sorry about your little mishap with the sprayer but at least they are going to make it right. Good luck on harvest!!!
Thanks for the update Ryan cant wait to see what the new head does for ya and thanks for helping make my birthday even better with a video today!! Thanks Ryan again for all u do have a good one
I run a chopper head on my combine..does a great job sizing material..and they make for great bedding
Did you guys look at calmer rolls? Cordless tools are the best invention ever
Looks to me like those "stunted" beans will be too high in moisture to be combined with the rest of the field.
Hey Ryan, Good to see You, Travis, Brittany, Dad all together and andrew. Take care, Take it easy and Trust JESUS !!!!!!!
I have learned a lot just watching ur videos Ryan and Travis

Great awesome video Ryan and Travis
Great job Ryan it’s nice to see that you and your brother work so good together also to let you know if you didn’t hear that Andy Detwiler the Harmless Farmer past away last week keep his family in your prayers he was a amazing man 🙏🙏🙏🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

I can't wait to see the 9770 out in the field again👍😁 harvest will be alot smoother now😉👍 awesome video👍
Thank you for sharing the date you recorded this video it is knowing
Drove past your farm today. I was wondering if you were picking yet. I guess this video answers it!
Great work Everybody👌👍🙂
What's your thoughts on the vet gun so far? Thanks for posting!
Doing the machinery schuffle …you pull the red cart out you push the red cart in an you shake it all about. 😂
With our dealing (and neighbors) with nutrien they always say they will take care of you but never come through. Its a common theme of them screwing up and not compensating. I hope you have better luck with your agronomist! Hopefully they come through
Good stuff
Like the video Ryan and familys too .
Hello. Nice seeing Travis's boss keeping an eye on him😉. Have you ever considered traditional ploughing on a 3+ year rotation? Corn stalks would be mixed in well with the soil. I know you don't want or need soil erosion taking place but. Cracking vid Ryan 👌 stay safe 🏴
Where did summer go? Might have lows Tuesday night and Wednesday night in the mid 30s. Nw Illinois.
awsome video ryan its best to use the new lock nuts with loctite thumbs up and shared
Hey Ryan!! Is Unverferth sending a big grain cart this year? Just a couple weeks and its harvest time.
great video Ryan
have you seen any tar spot in your area this year?
Spraying yourself very important!
Love how Brit is supervisor….lol
Ryan, perhaps you can share the amount of animal crop damage this year compared to the recent past.
It is best to use new lock nuts with loctite!
Hi nice video
Ask Nutrien about applying a test.strip of meltdown with some UAN and KTS on those corn stalks
jeez I sure don't want to get caught up in that corn head!!!! lol
Ryan, what caused the stunted development of your beans? The drone missed areas it sprayed.... or over applied in those areas?
❤
Chopper sick corn stalks.wow going to cut them to pieces.
Are you using non impact sockets? On your impact and pneumatic?
Yep. Couldn’t find any thin walled sockets at the store. It’s fine if you buy one specifically to destroy
Yea so weird this year seen soybeans that are ready to be cut and ones that are still green....
It looks like you DON'T want to get your fingers caught in those rollers. :)
ooopsie feet of clay!!
Those are much better designed shredders.
I would have liked never Seize
