A Tribute to Tim Samaras, Paul Samaras and Carl Young

You may remember Tim from the Storm Chaser series or any one of the remarkable documentaries made of this extraordinary man. Today we are Remembering our friend Tim Samaras. Tim, along with his son, Paul Samaras and long time friend Carl Young lost their lives during the violent and unpredictable 2.6 Mile wide El Reno, Oklahoma Tornado. Tim was brilliant in his research. His ingeniously designed weather probe captured the largest drop in Atmospheric Pressure ever recorded, 100hPA in less than one minute.
On a personal level, Tim was always genuine and it didn’t matter what crowd he was hanging with…he always treated everyone with respect, dignity and compassion. He will always be remembered for his kindness he extended to Jeff during a health scare Jeff had at Tim’s Severe Weather Conference.
Sending our love to his wonderful family as we remember Tim, Paul and Carl today.
