I was diagnosed on April 11 2024, I am 44 years old and after they did a genetic test on my blood. I apparently had this since my birth and I never knew. I had no symptoms until October 20th 2023 when my Blood Pressure skyrocketed to 190/105-107 with a 100 bpm. Heart felt it was racing and didn't want to stop, thought I was having a heart attack.
Over the next 4 days my CK levels went to 8000. Took 2 weeks to get them back under 1000. This was the start of my problems that I know of. I honestly had no symptoms my entire life. I was able to bench 250 and deadlift 340. So I don't understand how? Now I struggle to lift my cat on to my lap lol.
According to the neurologist I saw, me being bad at sports as a child was a sign something was wrong. I always thought I was just bad at sports. Don't know why it took 44 years for the symptoms to manifest.
I don't know if everyone starts out the same way but this pain all day everyday is what I want to stop. This non stop pain, even while I sleep.
