Every time I see urea get added I see money out the window for the volume you guys process on this channel. You should be dissolving gold bearing material until the reaction stops, saving leftovers for future batch and precipitating used up solutions. Love the content!

You should burn them 1 more time after grinding. Your yield will be a bit higher. I just started burning them 2 times and my yields are a bit better. Great Video 🙏🌞🙏
A pro of living in his country. A con living in Aus, UK. Trinity isnt much for incremental Nitric dosing and conservation of acids... Though it is ewaste and the yields are less certain... and like you said cheap acid. Saves times, seems to be effective. My question is for the cheapskates, me, or those who have difficulty getting their hands on Nitric Acid.
Maybe just snippin the legs as they are still on board would be faster, then just first AR should deal with rest. On cheap nitric: Spectracide Stump-out has a mostly potassium nitrate version. You can cheaply make up to around 40% hno3 without fractile distilling. i think Nilered had a video. Another thing to consider; instead of diluting 70% expensive nitric, use already dilute nitric for all but neccessary. For example i wouldn't recommend using 70% for silver recovery, if your first step is add water the same volume in water.
I just recently finished a batch of 8000 gold legged transistors. I was surprised at how low the recovery really was. I suppose this helps me know I was not really that far off. Not much in the stock pot I guess.
Are you using distilled water i would hope so as the chlorine will compromise the solution quite a bit.. also id heat the solution because heat helps with the extraction process even further. Basically nice and easy so you get a better yield for your intent and time
I also use tap water. boiling water for 15 minutes will remove all of the chlorine form tap water. Alternatively, leave a bucket of water uncovered at room temperature for at least 24 hours and the chlorine will evaporate without boiling.
Actually you need distilled water otherwise need to add sulfuric acid -H2SO4 to eliminate any lead present from the solution. Quite common in most tap waters

Why dont you put smb in the solution salt form?
If you 1/2 ml of sulfuric to your aqua regia it will remove any lead that was disolved in the process.

Did you weigh the 8000 transistors? If so, what was your gold yield from that many?
@@scrapping4shiba I did not weigh them, or count them. It was a sealed, labeled bag of new non installed pieces. The yield was 2.2 grams.
