He’s so responsive and direct. I know some one who isn’t qualified & recently got hired by DHS working remotely 100%…she receives EBT funds when she lives in a million $ home & drives luxury cars. Her and her husband used illegal substances and she applied to reduced lunch so her kid only pays $5 for AP exams when I have to pay $92 per AP exam for my kid. The person thinks they have the right to do because they pay taxes and DOE doesn’t even verified income. How messed up is our system

In five years Japan recovered dramatically. Edward Deming was hailed as the father of Japanese economic recovery. His theory was simple: improve quality while cutting costs. However, US Government needs dramatic changes as a matter of urgency if it is to transform into self governance.

It's funny that people think all the money is being spent on employees salaries, yes there's some unnecessary positions that have been created out of thin air. The budget for employees salary accounts for 4% of the total annual spending budget. It's clear there's a huge lack of knowledge, if you want to save money then they need to go after the federal contractors that are raking the government over the coals charging 5-10x normal prices. Most people also don't know that the government in it's current state is mandated to contract out roughly 30% of their work to these contractors that are robbing them blind. Federal employees make substantially less money than the private sector... you're going to have to look much higher than salaries if you really want to save money because all this will do is put more families out of work and save very little. IMO cut the made up jobs, reduce employment through attrition and start looking at procurement and contractors for the big money.

Many government positions go months without being filled yet the work manages to get done. Start by eliminating all positions that have ever gone 6 months without being filled. Most other positions could be replaced with contract employees to eliminate unfunded pension obligations and other union mandates. The rest can be reduced by merging similar departments and job titles. Most government employees "work" less than 1 hour per day, any excess time is filled with mostly useless meetings and office gossip. 85-90% is waste and the jobs aren't fulfilling - leading to unhappy workers that _feel_ overworked because the "work" they do is mostly useless

Much time is wasted on shifting data that nobody looks at using primitive methods to counter some previous incident that cost $X but costs $10X to pretend to monitor it. More time is wasted with unnecessary, redundant group emails to which everyone hits reply-all and spends the next half hour dragging old emails to a save folder because even though they are required to maintain them, the infrastructure only supports 50Mb on the server. Those same infrastructure limitations causes important time sensitive documents to need to be delivered by insecure physical media in person or by courier or using government vehicles to retrieve them I could go on for hours about all the useless meetings and training and those inefficiencies but those may have changed with zoom (or similar extremely expensive and even less secure alternatives) The simple fact that military personnel and civilian contractors are not eligible for waste, fraud and abuse awards could account for some of the culture of inefficiencies... They get paid the same whether they are working or in a "hurry up and wait" loop. There's no incentive for improvement.
