- Most tea goes through a heating or cooking process during its production. How the leaf is heated has a huge influence on the character of the tea so it is worth knowing more about the different styles.

I also love the fact that you like experimenting with tea. Can help bring out some good knowledge.
Lots of learning from today's video. Really useful.
But most impressive for me was finding out that Don doesn't have a microwave. Got myself a new future goal. 😆
I absolutely love your videos! I am from East Frisia, Germany - a place where tea is of great importance. I grew up drinking not only East Frisian tea but basically anything the local tea shop was selling - and I thought I knew "something" about tea. Well, I do know a bit but it's so nice to learn something from you while enjoying a nice cup of tea! Thank you very much for sharing your wisdom!
That's one heck of an apt asparagus analogy!
I have some Melon Seed Green left from last year and a new order on my way. Currently my favorite tea during the summer.
I just got my shipment the day before yesterday, and I cannot stop smelling the Monkey Picked tea(2020). 🤤 I'm almost afraid to try it, in case it doesn't live up to its smell 😆
Its my favorite and i wish i bought more😭
ohhhhh yeah excited to see down with anji baicha and learn!
Monkey picked is sooooooo good. Would love to see it come back!
it is back right?
at 12:54 the fly bumps into the recording gear and wreacks havoc! 🤣 Makes you realize how good the microphone they use actually is. Wonder what it is.
It's not what you think.
That was not just ant fly...
Great informations! Thank you!
Would help to have a chart displayed to help visualize and memorize such as you do comparing Clay's to teas
Don doesn't own a microwave! A man after my own heart. :)
Excellent!! Thank you for this (as always) it was very good food (tea) for thought - we're not fans of microwave either :)
I've been roasting/pan frying staled tea for years, but I've always felt I was doing something "wrong" or at least "unorthodox" 😅. I'm so glad I wasn't alone or wrong altogether. Probably because I live in a hot umid place. Maybe that's the cause, I don't know. I do my best for storing tea the right way, but still it's not enough 😩
You can drink tea grandpa style with the leaves still in the glass by using a tea straw AKA bombilla!
Microwave drying is actually quite interesting as its a rapid, brief heating
Oh, behave!
4k is great but i'd rather 2k 60f/s
