It's scary how close Kai came to becoming the next Morrow. Kinda makes me wish those two had interacted a bit more. But this animation is so amazing. It captures so many emotions, not only within the characters, but within the viewers who grew up watching these kids grow and become stronger

I am astonished! Your art style is incredible! You portray Lloyd and Kai's relationship perfectly and in a way that really makes you feel for them. The two have gone through so much together and I love the way that Kai has always comforted Lloyd when Lloyd has experienced his worst. I’m crying so much right now- The more I watch this the more I appreciate the older seasons and kai’s character growth, your art is really good by the way!! Maybe if Ninjago was animated differently maybe people would’ve given it more of a chance..

I can't praise this video more than enough! Even though it's so short, I still watch it every now and then. It triggers so many feelings in me. The episode where the green ninja is revealed is to this day one of my favorite episodes of all time and one that I can never get out of my head. Kai's character in particular had undergone such growth at the time, but so had Lloyd, of course. Thank you for bringing back the old feelings with the video ❤

But the lyrics hit also very hard. In the beginning he wanted to swap their places because he wanted to be special, later because he wanted to help Lloyd.

Damn if you think about it Lloyd is just a kid in an older body. And even his body isn't as old as the other ninjas. He didn't deserve the bad things that happened to him. After being in that school he should have at least got a nice childhood, new brothers and a new family all together. Being the green ninja ruined his life and I can't think about how it must feel to deal with the guilt. He never chose to be the green ninja and yet he still risks his life every day on and on because that's what he's supposed to do.
He didn't deserve his school, his childhood getting ripped away from him because he saved others, his parents leaving him, getting used for his powers, his parents being there and then not again only to come back, seeing so many people suffer and die, getting possessed by morro, getting his powers drained, being betrayed by the snakes and many others, harumi betraying him and bringing back his dad, almost dying a few times and so much more... Damn he's only a child.
