Yes, Fred, it is the story of my miss spent youth. my well spent youth? My ungodly fortunate fantastic youth. Written by wild brilliant chroniclers and explorers of the vibrations of the time, we still don't understand how it could have been. Was it just the acid? or was it God. Or was it George on guitar.
When he sings "I don't know WHY nobody told you".... I melt he hits the high note on the WHY like PERFECTLY!!! his voice slides up to that high note with grace!
In the beginning George Harrison created this masterpiece, with Eric Clapton adding some depth and blues to it, but M.L. McCoy added the soul. Without a soul there is no life, and after life nothing else needs to be added.
there's been better guitar renditions of this song but a person would be really, and I mean really, hard pressed to find better vocals than this for this song. this voice on Peter Frampton' s version would melt your mind. Yet another testament to the Beatles, the greatest band ever.
And what a scene for this song to take place in. The bar where both Of then are. I always picture when the line “with every mistake we must surly be learning” when Jude joins in drinking at the bar in the scene. And then they both walk home in the morning doing the ohhhh ohhhh Of he guitar weeping.
This movie completely changed the way I look at life. It completely immerses you into that era and makes you truly realize how amazing and sad those times were... The counter culture movement, The Vietnam War and the opposition to it, the peace rallies, the intensity of the race riots..indescribable. To me It completely defines the end of the 60's and the movement that came with it. What an amazing, and beautiful time it would have been to grow up in. All You Need Is LOVE.
How could you possibly hate the Beatles ? I understand the fact that you can dislike some of their songs, they arn't all awesome, But this particuliar song, especially in the original version is just transcendent.
this is one of the best covers of anything i have heard in my whole life. i just love the movie soooooo much, i finished watching it a few days ago and now its my new fave :P

This song is great in the beginning, but as soon as Jim starts singing with him, I get CHILLS every time. This is my favorite song from the movie
Me too. I also like the part after that when Martin goes “Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah!”
I cannot even begin to convey how beautiful Martin Luther McCoy's voice is in this.
I've heard the original, and I feel this one has a new meaning. There is so much soul and feelings in this version.. A true masterpeice...
The way he holds “why” and “how” just blows me away. Beautiful vocals😍😍
Across the Universe... More than a movie.
Hear, Hear!

Friedrich Nietzsche This movie will change the world.. it's changed my world.. beautiful beyond words
more than a woman
an experience
Words can't describe how much I love this version. The speed and the way it's sung is absolutely beautiful. (Both melancholy and sombre)
A very tearful and admirable cover. I absolutely love the movie and the actors were amazingly out of this world!
I completely agree!
The feeling put into this song. Just perfect.
yessss

oh by far the best!
This version of this song actually makes me weep
I think i've watched this movie like 50 times this week!
This is my favorite cover of this song. The voice is smooth yet full of such emotion that it sounds a tiny bit whiny. Just pure perfection all around.
I love Luther's voice, I can't even describe how much. It touches my soul, seriously, I have tears in my eyes. It's beautiful...
The way Martin sings this song gives it justice....so melancholy and beautiful...
So well remade. Was mad they didn’t put it on the soundtrack. Had to download it and so glad I did.
This is Sooo Good !!!
Captures the songs feeling even darker and sadder
This is my favorite version of this song.
Beautiful voice and song! Loved the movie
Totally agree -- sometimes a voice emerges that carries the spirit of the song forward to a new plane, McCoy's voice is certainly one of those gems.
i could happily listen to this song over and over again for the rest of my life. it's just THAT good.
I ♥️ Martin Luther McCoy's voice!
My sister loves this song.and she ever stop listening to it.we all love this song.💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙
He adds that “Stank” to it. Those who watch the movie know the reference.
The soul
It's sad as in the movie his kid passes so it makes it sadder
Serious stank . This shit brings a tear to my eye every time
Not to sound ignorant, but which movie?
i love how jim sturgess joins in with his beautiful voice and thier voices so greatly work togather
Evan Rachel Wood / Luncy Carrire
Joe Anderson / Max Carruie
Dana Farie / Sader
T.V. Copar / Prunsce
I saw the movie when I was 12, and the song that I liked the least now are my favorites.
Marce Rieti same except I didn’t even like the movie now it’s one of my faves

Amazing song! The voice, the beat, the guitar amazing 💓
i so agree its done so beautifully

One of the VERY few time a cover knocks it out of the park! be still my throbbing heart for Martin Luther!
Mr. Harrison created a piece of musical divinity that crosses over into every style of music imaginable.
I love this song. and i love the beatles.
thumbs up if your still listening to it in 2012! :)
ahhh wonderful, so much talent in this movie
