HaHa.. sometimes that's EXACTLY WHAT I DO!
It's the smoothness of the track combined with the lyrics of "Real Life Situations" that just relaxes me. Under Pressure by Kurupt is another one that I'll put on repeat and vibe to for like an hour or two.

This song holds a lot of memories for me. When this song came out I was an 18 yr homeless girl, and I would take the bus down to Inglewood/LAX to go work my shift at the strip club. I remember always listening to this song on the bus and thinking how much I wish I had a real money tree so I can afford a safe home and stop stripping. This was one of hardest times of my life. Thankfully I got a full ride to UCLA a few years later, stopped stripping, and the rest is history….but I never stopped listening to this song. The emotions it brings up in me is the same as it was when I first started listening to this song 9 years ago.

I know where Rock is coming from at 4:34. I used to live in LA as a kid with 6 other family members in a house on the second floor. It was pretty small, and every thanksgiving day we wouldn't celebrate it. We didn't have the money to afford a turkey or the proper equipments to even make one along with some other food. I went almost 13 years without trying my first turkey or celebrating thanksgiving. Now we are much wealthier, and hearing songs like this reminds me of the older days when we didn't have much, but family and a roof over our heads.

Anyone else listen to this song EVERY SINGLE DAY for at least a year straight? It's been more than 3 years for me. Every single time I hear it it's like hearing it for the first time, yet I know all the words. This song has gotten me out of depression more times than than you can imagine man. I have a stupid silly dream of one day rapping this with kendrick, like many of you probably.

this song continues to really stick with me, and beyond other rap songs - and it is because, this is really a sad song. I have cried when really listening to its words. it is so sad, that this song really depicts the true desperation of a lot of people who very much suffer and in so many unfair ways - and because they are simply trying to live better lives and survive. and it is very sad, and my heart really goes out to the fact that the words of this song, I know are a reality for many people.
