Tom Cavanagh has portrayed Eobard-as-Wells,Harry from Earth 2 and H.R. Wells from Earth-19 as well as the original Earth-1 Wells and several other alternate Earth versions of Wells and they`re all distinct.That takes talent.
I’m just realizing this but no matter who is Harrison wells. He would be filled with pain and suffering to the brim, maybe overflowing. The first Wells was used and died knowing he couldn’t save his wife. Eobarde at least the comic version, found out that no matter how hard he tried he has to be the villain and added to that grief would be the real Wells’ pain. Harry lost his wife and almost his daughter and corrupted himself to save her. H.R. was rejected by even his only friend, when he found a new home Savaitar said that he would live his life as a coward. And well we know how that ended.
Not to mention the original Earth-1 Harrison who was the only one not corrupted in any way died before The Show`s main plot even began and had his face ,name and reputation tainted beyond repair by a murderous superpowered sociopath from the future.
Julian does so for British and professional reasons. He knew Barry as a CSI first. Harry just calls pretty much everyone by their surnames. Liike Olvier calling Detective Lance 'Lance' or 'Mr Lance' instead of 'Quentin' until season 5.

If you include 'success' in the definition of happy, yeah they did. HR absolved himself from being a fraud and a coward and was happy in the end...he gave his friends a better future and went away smiling for it. Harry found a family other than his daughter and went away to BE with his daughter A better man on so many levels for his time with team Flash. Thawne obviously didn't. Not Tom Cavanagh's Thawne Wells anyway.
Sherloque had a happy ending, he left having found the love of his life and finally earning Team Flash's respect. While there were tragic elements to H.R. and Harry's partings, thier stories also ended in victory. Harry had found a family and was actually grateful to no longer be a genius. H.R. died on his terms proving to himself more than anyone else that he wasn't a coward. And giving his friends a better future. Thier lives hurt like hell (except maybe H.R.'s) but thier stories were and ended well.
