    I have/had a big interest in the Katalyst so decided to go to an X-Body studio in my neighborhood just to do a try/buy thing. X-body is very similar to Katalyst except you do it with a private trainer and they do all the suit prep work.
    The workouts were about as intense as anything I’ve ever experienced in my life…actually had to psych myself up each time before I went for a session because I was completely spent within the first 3-5 mins, which from my understanding is very normal but was a bit unexpected.
    After each session, I was sore AF and felt like I was activating muscle that I didnt even know I had. Sore glutes, which is something I almost never get plus just generally soreness all over and very tired after each session. I’m only on session 4 (they suggest just 1-2 days per week), but this thing is no joke. I was doing my workouts at 70% and it felt like I just did a couple rounds with Tyson 😂
    All the tech for these EMS bodysuits come out of Germany and Europe has gone hog wild for these EMS studios and they’re all over the place now. Only the US is behind on the tech.
    I was ready to pull the trigger on the Katalyst Black Friday special (reduced from $2400 to $1799), but in the process of buying a house, so wifey nixed the idea 😂
    Wishing it was a bit less intense (I know you can adjust the intensity, but trainer wasn’t having it) and I wish the setup would be easier.
    One tip, you should also wet the tee shirt and shorts you wear under the suit to conduct more of an electrical pulse and use warm or hot water in the sprayer so its not as much of a shock putting the suit on.

      Did you ever get to buy the katalyst? If so, it would be great if you can share with us how the two compare. Thx!

    • @swisstrader
      @swisstrader 8 месяцев назад

      @@skim7221 was all set to buy the Katalyst but after trying a similar suit out , decided I would pass based on how long it takes to get suited up each time and prob more importantly, the intensity of the workout.
      I’ve done P90x, Insanity and a bunch of other tough programs and this thing just hits you at another level. Didn’t think I could tolerate 2-3 times per wk of it.

    The purpose of electro stimulus is to make muscles that are not functioning properly to function properly. If you have no injury that causes disfunction of muscular contraction, then the benefits of a "work out" like this doesn't exist. It takes more than soreness caused by involuntary muscular contraction to become more fit. If you want to see results and not gimmicky, try Kaatsu (or Blood Flow Restriction) protocol in addition to normal fitness exercises.

      @@sapeurhaitien4848 BFR/KAATSU therapy was first introduced to promote rehabilitation of those who lost us of limbs.
      One research example:
      www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7002872/#:~:text=Blood%20flow%20restriction%20(BFR)%20training,skeletal%20muscle%20mass%20and%20strength.
      Conclusion:
      "In summary, the use of BFR training can clearly increase muscle mass and strength, along with endurance. Implemented properly and with appropriate supervision, this form of training could be potentially beneficial, not only to normal healthy individuals, but also as a form of treatment and rehabilitation therapy for conditions in which loss of muscle mass and strength is debilitating. That being stated, further research is needed before this type of training can be fully endorsed. For example, the optimal duration and intensity of pressure cuff-induced skeletal muscle blood flow restriction must be determined, and the effect of longer-term use needs to be evaluated. "
