Polylactic acid (PLA) film blowing

Film Blowing of PLA is a challenging task due to its poor melt strength, fast crystallization, narrow processing window and moisture sensitivity. But these challenges can be overcome by adding appropriate additive. Cellulose nanocrystals are an excellent additive for PLA. A very small amount of CNCs improves PLA properties significantly

Kudos! Its great to observe the PLA bubble without deformation. May be the PLA is amorphous or semicrystalline.
